COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

  2. Wow, I wish I could afford the one-time gift, History of the National Security Stateby Gore Vidal. I would like to bookend it with works by Noam Chomsky and and Oliver Stone.

Seriously, just as I hope President Obama successfully and wisely leads the country, I hope these guys are successful in reporting the truth.

  3. Obama can USE these guys to FORCE Israel to make concessions to the goat fuckers...

    we've seen it before....

    How about this peace plan?

The Goat Fuckers, I mean the Palestinians (Arabs), stop all rockets, stabings, fire bombings, kidnappings, incitement to murder, admit that Israel has a RIGHT to it's nation, the Temple Mount is and WAS a Jewish site, release all kidnapped innocents at once and that they will live on what ever lands they have left (since they have lost every war they have started against Israel)

    Sounds dramatic?

If they dont accept these demands Israel will actually start to kick their asses.....

    Hamas? Give me a break....

    Iran? Give me a break....

If the Messiah in Chief thinks he can RAPE Israel and demand she withdraw to 6 miles wide he's smoking crack...

  8. I think that the toughest reporting on Obama will come from the left of the establishment Left. We will see.

  9. It looks like we have loaned some big bucks to the banks:

"Total Fed lending topped $2 trillion for the first time last week and has risen by 140 percent, or $1.172 trillion, in the seven weeks since Fed governors relaxed the collateral standards on Sept. 14. The difference includes a $788 billion increase in loans to banks through the Fed and $474 billion in other lending, mostly through the central bank's purchase of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bonds."

Remember we can kill OPEC and capitalize the banking mess with my import tax on OPEC oil.

  10. I think a person would have to be almost perverse, talking about, predicting, almost joyfully hoping for the demise of that great small country, Israel.

  11. The only country in the entire Middle East that is really worth a shit, where they treat the women right, and celebrate life.

You'd have to be almost perverse to hit on them, day after day.

    bob...

Jews and Israel have had to deal with nazis, arabs, death camps, suicide bombers, crusades, ovens, arab boycotts and more...

    the difference today?

    we are armed....

we will not go quietly into the night...

no matter what a crack smokin', false messiah says....

Maybe the reason the POTUS - Elect is so calm under fire is there is nothing going on in between his ears to react with...

  13. Here is an example of the irresponsibility of those that oppose US drilling for oil. This is the consequence of letting them drill elsewhere

  14. I am a backer of Israel. I think it is a small country, packed with creative good people. People that fled there, from the horrors of Europe.

    I wish them well.

  15. I think any country that actually tries to put Israel out of business will be like some terrorists who in attempting to set off an IED, send themselves off to Allah. The combined forces of the entire Arab world failed spectacularly every time that they tried. Iran simply is delusional if it makes such a mistake in judgement. it would be their final mistake. israel does not need any help to protect itself.

  16. Should there be any serious attempt by any other Islamic country to take out Israel, it will be an Islamic power that will take out the threatening party. Their own self interest would dictate that they do so. No Arab state would take the risk of a blow-back from an Iranian attempt to destroy Israel.

  17. Israel is an ally, in part, because it is a counter to Iran. Seldom spoken, but true. Also, we really like their secret squirrels (granted they're squirrelly with us every damn day, like the French - only different). How often does an ally come with that kind of everyday cache? Not bloody often.

Iranians arrest 14 squirrels for spying

Islamic Republic's intelligence agents allege rodents were carrying advanced Western spy gear

    Published: 07.13.07, 23:43 / Israel News

Iranian intelligence operatives recently detained over a dozen squirrels found within the nation's borders, claiming the rodents were serving as spies for Western powers determined to undermine the Islamic Republic.

"In recent weeks, intelligence operatives have arrested 14 squirrels within Iran's borders," state-sponsored news agency IRNA reported. "The squirrels were carrying spy gear of foreign agencies, and were stopped before they could act, thanks to the alertness of our intelligence services."

This is especially ingenious since the double secret mouse (there's only one mickey mouse, and there can only be one mickey mouse) has complete control over the Islamic Republic's state media.

    thanks..

    but do not forget....

more than 600,000 jews fled the arab world in 1948 too..

more than the total arabs displaced by the creation of the state of israel
