COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

Iraq's Ties to Terrorism Prior to 9/11

How does this idiot have any credibility? This week, the leftwing politicos were a twitter with the idea of a Gore/Obama ticket. Say whatever you want about Republicans but look at the disgusting alternative presented by the Democrat party.

  1. So I was sitting in the hospital today waiting for x-rays of my broken foot.

And there was a high school senior in the next room, with his family and a number of doctors. I could hear everything for about 3 hours. Cancer behind his eye, pressing against his brain. Had to have emergency surgery the next morning.

Yet he still sounded more cheerful than I do on some of my best days. Kept saying that he couldn't wait to ask out this girl to his senior prom, he couldn't believe he hadn't done it sooner, and feared someone else hadn't done it already. Three hours in he finally reached her and I got to hear the happy culmination.

Thank God for small miracles, I was on pins and needles.

  5. Second, more explosive film on Islam coming

A Dutch news service is reporting that amidst all the outrage over FITNA, which was released last night, a second, more explosive video is due out on April 20. That video will feature the 'prophet' Mohamed as a pedophile.
While the cabinet is losing sleep over MP Geert Wilders' unpublished Koran film, a second film is due out on 20 April. Ehsan Jami plans to launch a cartoon film featuring the Prophet Mohammed as a paedophile.

Jami, born in Iran, announced that his film, The Life of Mohammed, is due for release on 20 April. On TV programme Netwerk, the young politician (22) showed a screen-shot in which the Prophet, with a visible erection, takes a child to a mosque to have sex. On the mosque is a swastika.

The fragment is a reference to the relationship between the prophet and the 9 year old Aisha as described in the Koran, according to Jami. His cartoon portrays all kinds of other perverse and violent verses, he added.
That ought to go over like a ton of bricks. from Israel Matzav

Turns out there WAS Sniper fire that Hillary barely avoided,
    BUT
there has been a massive coverup by the military since, given that it was a friendly fire incident.

Miller says the paving stones in Pompei leading to houses of prostitution have phallic totems sticking out of them, all pointing toward the entrance!

  8. At this point all I care about is graduating with honors, and it healing in time for the eventual fitness test. After that, I'll hug all the doctors.

  12. Dr Kaku, on C2C, says Stephan Hawking has lost all his muscle abilities now, except he can move his eyes, so he continues to communicate that way, and work, too. Really amazing, but he won't live much longer. What a tribute to the human will.

  13. Good morning Bob!

    You're still up I see.

  14. Morning Whit. Listening to Dr Kaku.

Dr Kaku says all global warmer doubters are full of it. Says warming is going faster than earlier predicted. Says solar hydrogen economy, and maybe fusion, might save us. But probably not. Very pessimistic. So there you have it, who to believe?

  15. Now he's off on time travel, and dividing the river of time, and such. If you monkey with the past, you are monkeying with some else's past, not your own. Can't kill your parents, and not be born, he says.

Says everybody is going for the many world theories now, in which case, Elvis might really be alive, in some other world!

  16. Al Gore said on 60 minutes interview that those who doubt man caused global warming are like "flat earthers."

Time will tell. Obviously, the temperatures have been milder in the last twenty years but this winter seemed to be more like the "old days." If we are in fact in for sustained warming, what worries me, is having the moonbats in charge. The radicals sense an opportunity for a massive wealth redistribution and the common street variety greens are their willing dupes.

(I noticed that the Lewiston high Friday was 44 deg. It was about 70 for me.)

  17. No global warming here, I can tell you. Furnace is on.

Art's telling his favorite story about the time he had premonitions about his car being rammed. Happened too. Only time ever. Spooked him out.

When ordinary matter goes backward in time it's antimatter says Kaku. But doesn't break up cause and effect, or some darned reason. So you couldn't have a conversation with the past, or future, I think.

  18. Well, going back to bed.

What this country needs is more federal control of the financial markets! I'm listening to the latest proposal on the news.

  20. gamma ray bursters, planet destoyers, second only to the big bang.

We have one in our back yard and it's pointed at us.

The bad news is that it may have already exploded. We are staring down the gun barrel and the bullet may be on the way.

    Oh yeah, I think I found C2C!

    Gamma Ray Bursters!

  21. If we can survive the gamma ray burster, we may live long enough to see room temperature superconductors which with magnets will allow us to lift enormous weights, have flying cars ,etc. through psycho-kinesis.

  22. Gamma Ray Burster

Well, Whit, he did say he wasn't sure if it was pointed right directly at us. Might just be a glancer. 8 or so light years out, right next door. No warning, so if I don't talk to you again, the best to you and yours.:)
