COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

The Genius of CNN's Wolf Blitzer

  1. The genius of Doug--

    I repeat:
Why did you not tie your tubes instead?

I was laying here and a light bulb went on in my head---why is it assumed that the woman ties her tubes???

    That's almost muzzie.

In our case though, it was a mutual agreement.

Also, I've been a good husband. she owns the whole ranch, could give me a real headache if she ever wanted to.

But that's a good question, and show some of these cultural assumptions go kinda deep.

We probably should have both had the operation.

  2. Cleaning Lady, I want your thoughts on this important subject, which I might be able to understand, when all this economics is beyond me.

Why didn't I have my "tubes" tied??

  3. For those interested in my prostate, it has gotten a lot better.

I can sleep through the whole night.

    The drugs are working.

  4. I am very glad to hear about the prostate, bob, but I wouldn't touch the tubes with a ten foot pole. Not in this forum.

Best let the other females handle that one if they so choose.

  5. Do you still hear from Mat?

Yes, once in a while, about the usual.

    Nothing big lately.

Boise State 48--San Jose State 0.

Boise State is nothing to be fooled with this year.

  6. I don't want you to "touch the tubes" I was just looking for an answer.

    :)

I think it must be just an ingrown protection of the male sperm. Still unconscious in us all.

The discussion was basically what to do about her body.

She assumed the same basic outlook.

  7. Ah, man, Deuce, you gotta put this one up

Sarah Palin in Top Form in California

This one had me bouncing up and down in my seat. The crowd was bouncing off the rafters, and so was I.

  9. Sarah Palin is going to be President, and I stood out in the cold, for her, prostate problems, and all, before any of you sons bitches did.

  10. Besides, she went to North Idaho
College, where my daughter rides her horses.

    Vote For Her.

    Fuck It, Time To

    TAKE THE COUNTRY BACK.

  13. I don't think there's a stadium in the country she couldn't fill, Bob.

  14. I didn't really mean that, of course. Salah Palin is going to win.

She knows her voice has really improved.

She knows now she is going in win.

    She knows it.

  15. That's the only thing, her voice, she had going against her, and she has improved that.

    She is a WINNER.

  16. Yes, her voice was definitely better in this one.

This deal was really professionally staged. Great job. I think that is, basically, her stump speech from here on out.

  17. She's either had a voice coach, or her confidence level has gone way way up.

    Maybe a little of both.

But, she knows where she is going now.

She is going to be our First
Woman President, and, I'm all for it.

One of these days, I'll even convince Deuce of it.

She rose, on her own merits, from an Idaho teacher.

No Kennedy or Kerry in her back history.

    An American Woman.

  18. She is going to win-

Ruf is right--she- she has her voice back.

    Deuce mkte a post.
