COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

  1. Yep, Doug do like them cheeseburgers.

Gotta teach him to close that danged refrigerator door, though.

  2. Thanks for that, Deuce. Best laugh I've had in months.

I do think I might be related to that tall one.

  3. I am eternally grateful for Rufus's kind generosity.
His door is always open, his car is always ready, his bed made for my best friend.

A perfect setup for me really, as when we've had enough of each other, I just retire to my lonely abode until our next visit.
    ...and Rufus supplies the Beer.

  4. And, Who'd have thought such a small horse could drink that much beer?

At least I was able to claim him, and get an increase in my food stamps.
