COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

Let me see if I have this right. Clinton created a National Security Breach by her emails and Was Exonerated, Trump made a Wise Crack Ironic Joke About It and He Is Treasonous?

  1. It's treasonous to be sarcastic. Everyone knows liberals don't get sarcasm. It contradicts their PC BS.

  2. The only way a peasant from Idaho like myself is ever gonna see all the emails is if the Rooskies publish them.

Therefore I wish the Russians to let them out there for the entire world to know.....everyone in the world that counts - Russians, Iranians, Israelis, Chinese, Hindus....everybody that counts already knows.....except ME....an American citizen....I don't count....

    I wanna know too !

  4. Trump called on the Russians to release emails that they ostensibly already have. Clinton assured us they only contain her dinner plans and concerns about the village children. Trump, in his Paul Revere moment stands to be tried for high treason by the Democrat National Committee for conspiring against Clinton’s coronation.

Debbie Shultz Whatshername was dismissed by the DNC for duplicity against Sanders and was summarily promoted by Clinton.

Sanders has torn off his uniform and has gone MIA.

  5. Sanders is the sacrificial lamb and will be martyrd. We shall see what the Dims promised him to get behind HRC. He left the party to save face with his constituents. Years from now those constituents, as the Haight-Ashbury hippies of yesteryear do now regarding the 60s, will have reunions and reminisce of those gloriously heady days during the 2016 campaign.

Then they will part ways, ride home to their section 8 housing on public transportation, stopping only to check for government checks and other freebies in their graffiti smeared cluster mailboxes at the foot of the stairs.

  11. State television said the army had advanced in the Bani Zeid district, on the southern side of the Castello road. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the pro-government forces had taken full control of the district.

A rebel source confirmed that the army had made advances. He said Kurdish forces from the nearby Sheikh Maqsoud district had also taken advantage of the fighting to advance into a housing complex in Bani Zeid.
"There has been a (rebel) withdrawal, but no one has surrendered," Zakaria Malahifji of the Aleppo-based rebel group Fastaqim group told Reuters.

  17. "This is a routine exercise between the two armed forces, aimed at strengthening the developing China-Russia strategic cooperative partnership," China's defense ministry spokesman Yang Yujun told a news conference.

    ...

China and Russia are veto-wielding members of the UN Security Council, and have held similar views on many major issues such as the crisis in Syria, putting them at odds with the United States and Western Europe.

Last year, they held joint military drills in the Sea of Japan and the Mediterranean.

  19. A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl has died in a freak accident after being struck on the head by a stone hurled by an elephant at a zoo in Morocco’s capital.

    ...

Amboseli Trust for Elephants’ scientific director Phyllis Lee said it’s highly unusual for elephants to deliberately target humans and probably did so out of frustration.
“It can happen when elephants are frustrated or bored. In my opinion, it’s unlikely the elephant was directly targeting the girl — but exhibiting frustration. You can’t predict what animals in captivity will do,” she told BBC.

  20. I believe the Idaho Constitution has a prohibition against gambling.

Once the State of Idaho succeeded into getting into the numbers racket via the lottery tickets, the Tribes took full advantage, managed to get the electronic one armed banditos defined as, basically, lottery tickets, and here we are in our current 'Fool's Paradise'.

State governments all around are drooling at the prospect of making windfall on taxing 'legal' drug sales.

  21. With Germany stunned by a series of bloody attacks, Chancellor Angela Merkel called Thursday for an "early warning system" to detect radicalisation among asylum seekers even as she insisted the nation still had a moral duty to offer sanctuary to those fleeing war.

    ...

But the chancellor defiantly repeated the mantra of "Wir schaffen das", or "We can do this," that she adopted last summer when Germany opened its doors to migrants fleeing wars in the Middle East.

    ...

Yet she also called for new steps and faster implementation of decisions already made to improve national security. Ms Merkel said she has spoken with President Barack Obama about increasing intelligence cooperation - seeking to improve the lines of communication that have been tested since revelations in 2013 that US intelligence had spied on the chancellor.

  25. US State Department spokesman John Kirby says by detaining more journalists, Turkey adds to a worrying trend of supressing public discourse.

    ...

Those sentiments are echoed by German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

"Of course, when a coup attempt like this happens in a country, it's important to take action against the rebels with all the means and potential of a constitutional state. What worries me, and what I'm following closely, is that in a constitutional state the principle of proportionality must be ensured under all circumstances.
