COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

Frackicide: Colorado ‘Mudslide’ Looks Like Fracking Nightmare

The recent images of a giant 4-mile long mudslide shown to you on CNN, were not really of a mudslide, says Youtuber

By Staff Writer
WESTERN COLORADO (INTELLIHUB) — “There is no mud in the whole damn thing, there is not even a puddle”, said dutchsinse, a popular environmental investigative Youtuber, referring to a secretive fracking operation that was recently botched.
“I went and verified the area [...] ran by DCP [...] which they basically have fracked the hell out of the area”, dutchsinse said, continuing to explain how the U.S. government teamed up with Exxon Mobil in the area.
What you have actually been seeing on the news, sold as a 4-mile long mudslide 1) , is not a mudslide, it’s a massive fracking eruption as they have been pumping high amounts of high pressure CO2 into the ground for an extended period of time.
Talks of evacuation have been promoted on CNN, said dutchsinse, despite the fact that there has been no rain or snow pack in the area.
“It’s all a bunch of B.S.”, said dutchsinse.

I would not consider that on the lam. General Wainwright received his fourth star and the Medal of Honor following his release from Japanese captivity. MacArthur rejected both in 1943, but agreed in 1945. He accepted the surrender of Japanese forces in the Philippines.

  7. Police agencies must reveal the names of officers involved in on-duty shootings unless there is specific evidence that disclosure would pose a safety threat

SAN FRANCISCO — Police agencies must reveal the names of officers involved in on-duty shootings unless there is specific evidence that disclosure would pose a safety threat, the California Supreme Court decided Thursday.

The 6-1 ruling by the state's highest court is expected to end blanket police policies against disclosure and reverse a statewide trend toward keeping officer names private. The court said the California Public Records Act does not permit police agencies to cite general concerns about officer safety to justify withholding names.

"If it is essential to protect an officer's anonymity for safety reasons or for reasons peculiar to the officer's duties — as, for example, in the case of an undercover officer — then the public interest in disclosure of the officer's name may need to give way," Justice Joyce L. Kennard wrote for the majority. "That determination, however, would need to be based on a particularized showing.

"Vague safety concerns that apply to all officers involved in shootings are insufficient to tip the balance against disclosure of officer names," Kennard wrote.

Policies on releasing names vary among law enforcement agencies. The Los Angeles Police Department generally identifies officers involved in shootings. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department does not. Mike Durant, president of the Police Officers Research Assn. of California, said he believes "many if not most" police departments in the state have policies against releasing officers' names.

The case stemmed from an effort by the Los Angeles Times to obtain the names of Long Beach police officers involved in the fatal shooting of Douglas Zerby, 35, in 2010. The officers mistook a garden hose nozzle Zerby was holding for a gun.

    1. Drug War?
American Troops Are Protecting Afghan Opium. U.S. Occupation Leads to All-Time High Heroin Production

Graphic Representation, that even Bob will comprehend

It is well-documented that the U.S. government has – at least at some times in some parts of the world – protected drug operations.

(Big American banks also launder money for drug cartels. See this, this, this and this. Indeed, drug dealers kept the banking system afloat during the depths of the 2008 financial crisis. And the U.S. drug money laundering is continuing to this day.)

(Multiple links on the page to document statements.)
(Videos of uniformed US military commenting on the reality of the US supporting drug trafficking)

The cultivation of opium poppy in Afghanistan—a nation under the military control of US and NATO forces for more than twelve years—has risen to an all-time high, according to the 2013 Afghanistan Opium Survey released Wednesday by the United Nations.

According to the report, cultivation of poppy across the war-torn nation rose 36 per cent in 2013 and total opium production amounted to 5,500 tons, up by almost a half since 2012.

“This has never been witnessed before in the history of Afghanistan,” said Jean-Luc Lemahieu, the outgoing leader of the Afghanistan office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, which produced the report.

      ***

The U.S. military has allowed poppy cultivation to continue in order to appease farmers and government officials involved with the drug trade who might otherwise turn against the Afghan Karzai government in Kabul. Fueling both sides, in fact, the opium and heroin industry is both a product of the war and an essential source for continued conflict.

An Air Force RC-135 electronic intelligence jet was flying a surveillance run some 60 miles off the Russian Far East coast, north of Japan, on April 23 when the incident occurred, according to defense officials familiar with the incident.

The Su-27 flew to follow the RC-135, and at one point rolled sideways to reveal its air-to-air missile before flying within 100 feet of the cockpit in an attempt to unnerve the crew.

  10. Afghan opium production explodes despite billions spent, says US report
Report by DC's Afghanistan war watchdog found opium cultivation unaffected by $7.5bn US spent to combat it

    theguardian.com, Wednesday 30 April 2014

A report released Wednesday by Washington’s Afghanistan war watchdog has found that the billions spent by the State and Defense departments on counter-narcotics since 2002 has been for nought. Opium-poppy cultivation takes up 209,000 hectares (516,230 acres) of land in Afghanistan, a 36% increase since 2012.
    ...

Beyond Afghanistan’s borders, about three-quarters of the world’s illicit opium products originates from the country, which sees its poppy cultivation concentrated almost entirely in the country’s southern and western provinces. Those areas – particularly Helmand and Kandahar provinces – were where the bulk of US and UK forces were deployed during the 2010-12 troop surge.

  11. As reported by Global Research:

“Immediately following the October 2001 invasion, opium markets were restored…By early 2002, the opium price (in dollars/kg) was almost 10 times higher than in 2000. In 2001, under the Taliban opiate production stood at 185 tons, increasing to 3400 tons in 2002 under the US sponsored puppet regime of President Hamid Karzai.”

After more than twelve years of military occupation, Afghanistan’s opium trade isn’t just sustaining, it’s thriving more than ever before. According to a recent report from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, 2013 saw opium production surge to record highs:

“The harvest this May resulted in 5,500 metric tons of opium, 49 percent higher than last year and more than the combined output of the rest of the world.”

Wow, that’s a lot of opium – and a lot of money being made. So, who is reaping the spoils?

    2. Coming to it, Jack ...

Many people outright dismiss the notion of the CIA overseeing the trade of illegal drugs as crazy talk. However, history shows that it’s crazy not to entertain such a notion, especially during times of war profiteering.

In 2012, a Mexican government official from Juarez told Al Jazeera that the CIA and other international security forces “don’t fight drug traffickers” and that instead, the agency tries to “manage the drug trade.”

Former Representative Ron Paul elaborated on the CIA’s notorious corruption when speaking to a group of students about Iran-Contra:

“[Drug trafficking] is a gold mine for people who want to raise money in the underground government in order to finance projects that they can’t get legitimately. It is very clear that the CIA has been very much involved with drug dealings. We saw [Iran-Contra] on television. They were hauling down weapons and drugs back.”

Surprisingly, mainstream publications still regard the Iran-Contra CIA drug trafficking scandal as a ‘conspiracy theory.’
      ...
The US’ goal of sustained warfare to oversee the world’s opium trade has been alleged by many, including foreign military officials. In 2009, a former commander in the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, General Mahmut Gareev, said to RT:

“Americans themselves admit that drugs are often transported out of Afghanistan on American planes. Drug trafficking in Afghanistan brings them about 50 billion dollars a year – which fully covers the expenses tied to keeping their troops there…[the US military doesn't] have any planned military action to eliminate the [Taliban].”

The unwinnable nature of the war becomes more apparent when learning that the US government was paying Taliban insurgents to protect supply routes and “switch sides” in an attempt to neutralize the insurgency.

The logic of funding both sides of the war to “win” is too incomprehensible a concept to grasp.
Clearly, this war is meant to be sustained.

Watch Obama's face as Bergdahl's dad invoked Allah in Arabic
    Thomas Lifson
When Bob Bergdahl launched in Arabic, invoking Allah while standing next to President Obama in the White House Rose Garden, a number of Americans were startled. Claire Lopez, a former CIA operations officer, a strategic policy and intelligence expert with a focus on Middle East, national defense, WMD, and counterterrorism issues, emailed her friend Allen West:

“What none of these media is reporting is that the father’s (SGT Bowe Bergdahl’s father Bob) first words at the WH were in Arabic – those words were “bism allah alrahman alraheem” – which means “in the name of Allah the most gracious and most merciful” – these are the opening words of every chapter of the Qur’an except one (the chapter of the sword – the 9th) – by uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.”

I am not knowledgeable enough to judge the claim of sanctifying the White House and claiming it for Islam, but I place a lot of stock in watching nonverbal cues, people’s quick reactions. And so, when our friends at iOwnTheWorld.com captured and enlarged President Obama’s reaction to Bergdahl’s invocation of Allah, it hit me hard.

Watch for yourself and see if it means anything to you.

My colleague Rick Moran cautions that it just might mean he’s not a bigot. We do know that he told New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof that the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.” So maybe he is just fondly recalling his childhood days in Jakarta.

Or maybe this is a tell – an indication of what is going on in his heart, perhaps a bit deeper than his claim last week at West Point that he believes in American Exceptionalism with every fiber of his being.

  17. Bergdahlzi -

There is a lot we do not know, but what if turns out that Bergdahl was not only a deserter, but a traitor who actively aided the Taliban in attacking American troops?

In his piece, Tapper seems to subtly allude to the possibility.

“[M]any soldiers in his platoon said attacks seemed to increase against the United States in Paktika province in the days and weeks following his disappearance,” Tapper wrote, seeming to suggest that Bergdahl may have provided information to the Taliban that aided them in their attacks against American troops.

Fox News confirmed that Bergdahl’s conduct both before and after his capture has been the subject of a classified investigation.

A “Defense Department source confirmed to Fox News that many within the intelligence community harbor serious outstanding concerns not only that Bergdahl may have been a deserter but that he may have been an active collaborator with the enemy,” Fox News’ James Rosen reports.

If it turns out that Bergdahl did indeed collaborate with the enemy, Obama just gave up five of the worst terrorists in American custody for the return of a traitor we will now have to put on trial. And the president authorized this without notifying Congress, which even his supporters in the legalcommunity say violates U.S. law. So much for President Obama’s “Don’t Do Stupid Shit” foreign policy doctrine.

The new head of the National Security Agency said Tuesday he doesn't believe former NSA contractor Edward Snowden is or was a Russian spy.

Adm. Michael Rogers, who became head of the U.S.'s spy infrastructure in April, said at a cybersecurity event organized by Bloomberg Government that while he believed it was "wrong" and "illegal" for Snowden to have leaked thousands of classified documents, he appeared to be doing what he sincerely thought was right.

Asked whether he thought Snowden was or is working for the FSB, the Russian security service, Rogers said: "Could he have? Possibly. Do I believe that that's the case? Probably not."

  29. Only a few like me know 9-11 was a deep CIA op to bolster American patriotism to enable the President and Congress to run some more wars so that Lester Crown could sell more weapons and the poppy fields being eradicated by the Taliban could be guarded by US Marines to ensure a steady supply of h to American consumers, and that all the Jews had left the Twin Towers and Building #7, which were all brought down by remotely controlled explosive charges.

    1. Again we see an ad hominem argument against a fictional 'strawman'.
      By a fictional strawman.

Creating a series of fantasies, then connecting them with statements which are true, in an attempt to discredit the truth by aligning the truth, in a false flag operation, with outright lies...
Typical of a low level propagandist, a student of Goebbels that never got out of kindergarten.

      You can't fix stupid

  33. False Flag Operations are not fantasies, they are contingencies.

    Operation Northwoods

Code named Operation Northwoods, the plan, which had the written approval of the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere.

People would be framed for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer and his cabal the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.
    ...
Lemnitzer and the Joint Chiefs worked out a complex deception:

An aircraft at Elgin AFB would be painted and numbered as an exact duplicate for a civil registered aircraft belonging to a CJA proprietary organization in the Miami area. At a designated time the duplicate would be substituted for the actual civil aircraft and would be loaded with the selected passengers, all boarded under carefully prepared aliases. The actual registered aircraft would be converted to a drone [a remotely controlled unmanned aircraft]. Take off times of the drone aircraft and the actual aircraft will be scheduled to allow a rendezvous south of Florida.

From the rendezvous point the passenger-carrying aircraft will descend to minimum altitude and go directly into an auxiliary field at Elgin AFB where arrangements will have been made to evacuate the passengers and return the aircraft to its original status.

The drone aircraft meanwhile will continue to fly the filed flight plan. When over Cuba the drone will be transmitting on the international distress frequency a "May Day" message stating he is under attack by Cuban MiG aircraft. The transmission will be interrupted by destruction of the aircraft, which will be triggered by radio signal. This will allow ICAO [International Civil Aviation Organization radio stations in the Western Hemisphere to tell the U.S. what has happened to the aircraft instead of the U.S. trying to "sell" the incident.

Finally, there was a plan to "make it appear that Communist Cuban MiGs have destroyed a USAF aircraft over international waters in an unprovoked attack." It was a particularly believable operation given the decade of shoot downs that had just taken place.

  38. If the fire from the planes fuel was sufficient to melt the steel at the WTC, how is it that there was no substantial fire at the Pentagon?

This video, at the 1:25 to 1:32 mark plainly shows paper books, open and unsigned at the impact area, at the Pentagon. There was no fire.

As Jack says, the "Coincidence Theorists" have some splainin' to do.
