COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

Angela Merkel's weekend speech stating that Europe could no longer "fully count on others"

ACHTUNG:

Where exactly will you go Frau Merkel?

Ivo H. Daalder, a former U.S. envoy to NATO, told The New York Times that "this seems to be the end of an era, one in which the United States led and Europe followed."
"Today, the United States is heading into a direction on key issues that seems diametrically opposite of where Europe is heading. Merkel's comments are an acknowledgment of that new reality," the newspaper quoted him as saying.
Michael McFaul, who was ambassador to Russia under Trump's predecessor Barack Obama, expressed dismay at the state of the key relationship.
(You can't make this stuff up)

  • Perhaps the German Chancellor can turn to the brain trust flooding her open borders
  • There is always France
  • She could always call Obama & Clinton - they're always full of good ideas
  • She could commiserate with the Greek finance minister
  • The Brits had enough of her, so no action there
All that happened as they all were standing to congratulate each other  opening the $2 billion dollar new NATO headquarters is that Trump impolitely mentioned sharing the tab as agreed.

After that, the always cheery Merkel, looked as if Germany lost Stalingrad again.

Germany can start by dealing with the reality that it is either unwilling or unable to protect their own women from the wild and Crazy Guys from Arabistan and every African sewer rat that scurries onto the southern European shores.

      What bullshit.

      MSM?

      Friggin hilarious.

You dolts blame the press for doing their friggin job, publishing leaks. You ignore the people doing the leaking entirely. These leaks aren't coming from ISIS. Some Russian in the room? Why would Russia warn Trump about his indiscretions when they might profit from another in the future? Occam's Razor would point to the leaks coming from the White House or the Trump administration.

A day after firing FBI director James Comey, Trump met with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak in the Oval Office.

Three of Trump's most trusted advisers were present - secretary of State Rex Tillerson, national security adviser H.R. McMaster and deputy national security adviser Dina Powell. Other than a photographer from a government-run Russian news agency, there was no media in the room.

And yet out of that small group, damaging and highly specific details attributed to U.S. government officials spilled on to the pages of the Washington Post and the New York Times...

If these leakers want to leak they may pick the WaPo and NYT to get wider exposure but in these papers absence they would still get their info published. WikiLeaks, some blog, even conservative papers or media aren't going to pass on a scoop.

      Grow a brain.

Why the leaks will keep coming and why the leakers will be hard to find.

Trump had revealed sensitive information to the Russians about an ISIS plot that Israeli officials had asked him to keep secret, the Post reported. And Trump had called Comey a "nut job," saying that Comey's firing had eased pressure on the administration from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, according to the Times.

The journey of information from the Oval Office to the front-pages was set in motion by an American note-taker - either from the National Security Council (NSC) or the State Department - on hand to document the proceedings with the Russian diplomats.

That raw data was drafted into a memorandum of conversation - or "memcon," for short - which was then sent through an editing and approval process by senior officials on the NSC. The memcon is then logged and registered as the official U.S. record of the meeting and kept on file either at the NSC or State Department.

The memcon is distributed - sometimes as a hard-copy, to limit circulation - to relevant officials at Department of State, Department of Defense, the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and other agencies within the intelligence community.
Along the way, officials' assistants can often see the material as well. Those with appropriate clearances can also view the memcons at the repositories where they're kept.

At each step, the potential grows for confidential information to "jump the gap" into the press through leaks - a phenomenon that has exploded since Trump came into office.
"Dealing with leaks isn't new, but the frequency and magnitude of the leaks affecting this administration is highly unusual," said Dov Zakheim, the former undersecretary of Defense for former President George W. Bush. "He's at odds with the intelligence community, the FBI and the media. That's a lethal combination when it comes to leaks."

Some of the leaks that have dogged Trump have come from the president's own team, as rivals angle for influence within the administration. Some have come from people within the government who leak to get Trump's attentions.

Others come from Trump foes looking to hurt the president. The leaks have provoked allegations from Trump's allies that rogue "deep state" actors in the government are attempting a silent "coup."

Trump signaled this week he would take a more aggressive approach to dealing with leaks after the British briefly suspended intelligence sharing with the U.S...

Trump makes a habit of irritating or offending everyone, media, intelligence agencies, his own staff, Dems, Congress, you name it. It's what he does. He does it for political reasons, for spite, in moments of pique, and because he just likes to poke the tiger. Don't expect that because of some whining cry of MSM, MSM any of these groups are going to turn, bend over, drop their drawers and meekly say, "Thank you, sir, may I have another?"

The only way Trump can change any of this is by catching and punishing the leakers not by whining about the press for doing their jobs.

Will This Be The Week That Was for the Fox News Channel?
      By Peter Barry Chowka

....Meanwhile, investigations into the death of Rich are proceeding, mainly on the part of independent journalists. An exception were two reports broadcast by One America News Network (OAN) on May 19, “Who Killed Seth Rich? Investigating the DNC Staffer’s Suspicious Murder.” Video of the reports can be viewed here (Part 1) and here (Part 2). At the conclusion of Part 2, OAN reporter Pearson Sharp said:

For now there are no clear answers as to who killed Seth Rich – or why. Police have called it a robbery, but have no proof. There is growing evidence that it was something much more than a mugging gone wrong... It’s not just one coincidence, or two. It’s dozens. And they trace their way all the way to the highest brains of the DNC. Yes, it could be a coincidence that the officers were wearing body cameras but the footage apparently can’t be found. It could be a coincidence that the attending physician has direct ties to [one of] Hillary’s right hand [men]... And it could be a coincidence that Seth’s father said that a security camera from a small convenience store across the street captured video of their son collapsing at the feet of two men and that the police say that now that footage doesn't exist. But the question we must ask ourselves now is at what point does one coincidence – or 100 – add up to something approaching the truth.

As part of its ongoing coverage of and interest in solving the murder of Seth Rich, One America News Network has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the case. Other parties, including Wikileaks, Republican strategist Jack Burkman, and the D.C. police, have offered rewards totaling $175,000 bringing the grand total to $275,000.

As mentioned earlier, journalist Liz Crokin, who has written for the conservative Web sites Townhall and World Net Daily, has emerged in recent weeks as a viral force probing the killing of Seth Rich. In addition to her articles about Rich’s murder in World Net Daily, Crokin appeared twice last week on the daily Internet program The Hagmann and Hagmann Report (May 22 video here, May 25 video here).

Liz Crokin on the Hagmann & Hagmann Report, May 22, 2017

On May 28, I interviewed Crokin by email. “If the truth comes out about Seth’s murder, it will bring down a huge number of people in the government and expose all kinds of unimaginable corruption,” she wrote. Crokin was confident that the Rich murder story will not go away. “The truth will come out about Seth Rich. I can absolutely guarantee that. It’s inevitable that the full story will come out.”

I asked Crokin if she thinks that Sean Hannity will keep his Fox News show. “There are truly powerful and evil forces that are trying to get Sean Hannity fired,” Crokin replied. “They will try their best to get him canned. However, if that happens, it will only bring more awareness to the Seth Rich murder case and how the media is not only complicit but also, in some cases, accomplices in this massive cover up. This is a case where the cover up is way bigger than the crime. This is Watergate on steroids!”

      To be continued.

      Earth to Collide with Nibiru

UPDATE: NASA scientists have reportedly confirmed that the planet Nibiru will collide with Earth on October 17, 2017 or 17/10/17.

The Nibiru collision with Earth in 2017 has been predicted for a long time, but astrophysicists, cosmologists and astronomers around the world have now come to a consensus that Earth will indeed collide with the planet, which lies just outside Pluto...
