COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

The Crooked Roads that Lead to Obama

Tom Del Beccaro: All Corrupt DOJ and FBI Roads Lead to Obama

AP

Holistic analysis of the Justice Department (DOJ) and FBI’s interconnected and ostensible investigations of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump amount to “the worst abuse of political power in American history related to elections,” according to Tom Del Beccaro.

Del Beccaro, an attorney and contributor to Forbes, joined Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with co-hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak to discuss his recently published – and continually updated – timeline of events, entitled “Biased FBI and DOJ Officials Broke the Law and Tried to Decide the Election.”

“The DOJ [and] the entire Obama administration wound down the Hillary email crisis in time for her to really run for office and then ramped up the attacks on candidate Trump to stop him from being president,” said Del Beccaro.

As president, Barack Obama signaled to his administration officials that Hillary Clinton was not to be meaningfully investigated for her felonious use of a private email system during her tenure as secretary of state, said Del Beccaro.

“The FBI was sort of just going through the motions with Hillary, and it’s about March or April, and suddenly the election heats up, and Obama goes on TV, and he says, with Chris Wallace, basically, that she didn’t intend to do anything [wrong]; she didn’t want to harm us,” said Del Beccaro. “That’s  irrelevant to the crime she committed of possessing classified information in an insecure environment. So he announces this, and once he does, the DOJ and the FBI then change their speed [of] work and the manner in which they’re working, the things that they’re doing, and between April and June, they exonerate her, and what I mean by that is they change the language in the memo as to whether she was doing something wrong from ‘gross negligence’ of a crime to … ‘extreme carelessness.’ That’s irrelevant. That’s not legal language: ‘extreme carelessness.’”
Obama’s endorsement of Clinton in May 2016 – while the FBI was ostensibly investigating the former first lady for her handling of classified information and evasion of federal record-keeping laws – suggests the FBI’s running of a “sham investigation” of Clinton’s email conduct, said Del Beccaro.

Obama’s first campaign appearance with Clinton was July 5, 2016, the same day former FBI Director James Comey publicly advised against an indictment of Clinton for criminal handling of classified information.

“Early May, [Obama] endorses her, [and] it’s very rare in our history for a president to endorse in a divided primary within his own party,” said Del Beccaro. “If there wasn’t a sham investigation going on, why would he take a risk endorsing a candidate under investigation by the FBI when on its face she broke the law? His first appearance with her [was] on the afternoon of July 5. You know what happened on the morning of July 5? James Comey goes on TV to exonerate her. This cannot be coincidental.”

“Seems pretty much like they knew what they were doing to me, don’t you think?” asked Del Beccaro, rhetorically.

Obama kept tabs on the surveillance of Donald Trump’s campaign and associates via intelligence briefings, said Del Beccaro. The FBI’s surveillance of Carter Page and George Papadopoulos were considered a counterintelligence operation, not a criminal investigation.

“What happens every morning for a president, the first thing that he gets?” asked Del Beccaro. “His intelligence briefing is put together by the FBI, the NSA, [and other intelligence agencies]. So Obama was able to keep track of everything.”
Surveillance of Carter Page, said Del Beccaro, was done for the purpose of monitoring Trump and his presidential campaign. Carter Page was no longer a campaign operative for Trump when the FBI resumed its surveillance of him in 2016.

“[Carter Page] is a Russophile; he wants to do business there,” said Del Beccaro. “He’s a promoter of himself and those kinda things. What’s really important here [is that] he had been working with the FBI in 2015 on investigations of other people, so our government knew exactly who this guy was all along. The fact that he went to Russia again in the summer of 2016 while he is an adviser to the Trump campaign, to me, is just a ruse. They needed someone to do something so that they could start the spying, and once you start spying on one, you can spread it just a bit. So I think he’s just a straw horse for them to do a wider spying operation.”

Comey lied to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) when presenting fraudulent information composed by Christopher Steele (the “Steele dossier”) as evidence in pursuit of a surveillance warrant, said Del Beccaro.

“When James Comey is doing this application and he puts this dossier in, he has to say to the court, ‘This is valid evidence. This is good evidence for you to use,'” said Del Beccaro. “Of course, we now know that at two different times in 2017, he said it was never validated. You cannot have both of those positions at the same time. He clearly lied to the FISA court by trumping up this evidence. That’s how they started this spying operation.”

Clinton violated campaign finance laws by using a law firm as an intermediary through which to pay Fusion GPS for opposition research on Trump, said Del Beccaro.

“Hillary lied on her campaign finance disclosure by paying the law firm in May to start the dossier,” said Del Beccaro. “If she hadn’t had done that lie, it would have come out that she was paying Fusion GPS in May, and then reporters could have challenged her and asked, ‘What is this for?’ It’s a clear campaign violation.”

  1. Grassley-Graham Memo Affirms Nunes Memo — Media Yawns

We need a full-blown investigation of how the FISA court came to grant warrants to spy on Carter Page. In a word, the Grassley-Graham memo is shocking. Yet, the press barely notices. Rest assured: If a Republican administration had used unverifiable hearsay from a patently suspect agent of the Republican presidential candidate to gull the FISA court into granting a warrant to spy on an associate of the Democratic nominee’s campaign, it would be covered as the greatest political scandal in a half-century.

Instead, it was the other way around. The Grassley-Graham memo corroborates the claims in the Nunes memo:

The Obama Justice Department and FBI used anonymously sourced, Clinton-campaign generated innuendo to convince the FISA court to issue surveillance warrants against Carter Page, and in doing so, they concealed the Clinton campaign’s role.

Though the Trump campaign had cut ties with Page shortly before the first warrant was issued in October 2016, the warrant application was based on wild allegations of a corrupt conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. Moreover, the warrant meant the FBI could seize not only Page’s forward-going communications but any past emails and texts he may have stored — i.e., his Trump campaign communications.

(Gosh, I thought since they never tapped a CONFERENCE CALL of ALL the Trumpets, they got nuthin!)

With its verification by the Grassley-Graham memo, the Nunes memo now has about a thousand times more corroboration than the Steele dossier, the basis of the heinous allegations used by the Justice Department and FBI to get the FISA warrants.

    1. ...the FBI and Justice Department elected not to tell the FISA court that the Clinton campaign was paying for Steele’s unverified, unverifiable anti-Trump research.

I spent many months assuring people that nothing like this could ever happen — that the FBI and Justice Department would not countenance the provision to the FISA court of uncorroborated allegations of heinous misconduct.

When Trump enthusiasts accused them of rigging the process, I countered that they probably had not even used the Steele dossier.
If the Justice Department had used it in writing a FISA warrant application,
I insisted that the FBI would independently verify any important facts presented to the court, make any disclosures that ought in fairness be made so the judge could evaluate the credibility of the sources, and compellingly demonstrate probable cause before alleging that an American was a foreign agent.

      I was wrong.

  4. Unstoppable ?

All I can be is hopeful, but I yet doubt it.

There are a lot of quirky people out there.

Then I become flush with hope and faith again.

If anything is going to finally convince the quirks of our world, it would be an ironclad holistic semiotic indigenous seminolean analysis of the evolving synthetic situation. Such an analysis contains that mystic tinge and appeal that can convince fanatical minds where rationalism would never do.

    Unstoppable ?

Yes ! We can hope !

  8. Comey was FORCED to tell Congress about Weiner emails only because George Toscas at DOJ found out about them!

On Wednesday the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee released a majority staff report titled “The Clinton Email Scandal And The FBI’s Investigation Of It.” The committee also released thousands of text messages between two agents and lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that shed light on the criminal intent of deep state players to avoid prosecution of Hillary Clinton and to block and destroy a Trump presidency.

One text message exchange is making the rounds on the internet today.

Peter Strzok was the Chief of the Counterespionage Section during the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email server. He also hated Donald Trump, as did his lover Lisa Page.

In this exchange posted online Peter Strzok admits the DOJ was forced to tell Congress about the Weiner laptop emails only because George Toscas at the DOJ found out about them.

The FBI sat on this evidence for a month before turning it over to Congress and only because they couldn’t hide it from George Toscas.

In 2016, George Zeno Toscas was a General Attorney at the Offices, Boards and Divisions in Washington, District Of Columbia.

Toscas was the guy that gave Comey shit for calling the Hillary Investigation a “matter”!

Per The New York Times: “As the meeting broke up, George Z. Toscas, a national security prosecutor, ribbed Mr. Comey. “I guess you’re the Federal Bureau of Matters now,” Mr. Toscas said, according to two people who were there.”

Another example of the MSM taking their lead from the old Quirkster

Putin ally warns of arms race as Russia considers response to U.S. nuclear stance

Sergey Chemezov, a top figure in Russia’s arms industry, said he didn’t believe that the New START accord limiting the number of nuclear weapons deployed by the two countries could be renewed in the current political environment.

“How can we talk about further negotiations about arms reductions when we don’t trust each other?” Chemezov said in the interview with The Washington Post.

Chemezov is one of the most prominent Russians to express skepticism in recent weeks about the prospect for new nuclear arms talks with the United States. With Russian hopes dashed that President Trump would improve relations with Moscow, the Russian elite increasingly appears unsettled by his more muscular approach.

For Russians, a new warning sign came earlier this month with the release of a U.S. Defense Department document recommending the development of new nuclear arms to counter Russia.

“It will lead to another arms race, because we will have to do the same as the Americans,” Chemezov said, referring to the Defense Department’s Nuclear Posture Review. “And then a mere spark will be sufficient. With the number of weapons in the world today, there will be no winners; the world will be destroyed.”

  11. GET KENYATTA

TUCKER CARLSON: Just a year ago all of the smart people were mocking Donald Trump for being insane enough to suggest the Obama administration had surveilled or as he put it wiretapped his campaign. What a paranoid lunatic they said, 'Get off Twitter!' Yeah. Now we know what actually happened.

The question at this point is how many Trump's people weren't spied on by the FBI. Trump advisor Carter Page was placed under government surveillance in the fall of 2016 after the feds used uncorroborated claims from the Trump dossier to justify a FISA warrant.
We know from Congressional testimony that Page spoke to Trump advisor, Trump campaign manager Steve Bannon while he was being spied on, meaning Bannon was likely spied on too.

Tonight, based on our own reporting, we can tell you that Carter Page also sent email messages to members of the Trump campaign during that same period. Presumably, the FBI intercepted those as well.

Suddenly it looks like the Obama administration may have spied on a significant portion of the Trump campaign team. Just how many people were surveilled and to what extent? How much did President Obama know about that? We still don't have the answers to those questions, though we definitely have the right to them. Oh, no we don't, say Democrats. Asking questions is a sign of disloyalty to this country.

The very people that once told us that spying absolutely never happened are now telling us that spying was perfectly justified and normal. Why? Because Russia. Okay, but the funny thing is almost all of the Russian collusion evidence unearthed recently implicates Democrats, not the Trump campaign.

Yesterday we learned, for example, Senator Mark Warner (D) of Virginia was secretly sending text messages to a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch in hope of making contact with making contact with the dossier author Christopher Steele. Warner tried to hide that correspondence. I, "would rather not have a paper trail," he texted in the oligarch's lobbyist. Now, traditionally, in Washington anyway, no paper trail is not an indicator of transparency. In fact, it's a sign of wrongdoing.

Now we're not saying that Senator Warner ought to resign his seat and face treason charges. And we're not saying that because we're not hysterical liberals willing to poison international relations and misuse the Justice system just for cheap political antics. But we do think that Warner's behavior is worth knowing more about...

A remarkable new New York Times story just published about 40 minutes ago. That story alleges just within the last year American intelligence agencies paid a spy -- apparently a spy working for the Russian government -- $100,000 in American tax dollars in exchange for unverified and possibly fabricated information about President Trump.

Now, why would our intelligence agencies use our money to do something like that? Why would they do anything like that under any circumstances and by the way what was the information they gathered used for? None of that is clear at this hour.

HERE'S WHAT IS CLEAR RIGHT NOW.

The bottom line in what we learned this whole week, the one thing worth taking away from a dramatic week in Washington is this: The Obama administration spied on a rival political campaign. There had better be a legitimate reason for doing that but increasingly it looks like there wasn't.
