COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

Obama, Clinton, the FISA Court, the DOJ, the FBI, the State Department, ALL corrupt beyond belief

The Nuclear Option: FBI/FISA Scandal Exposes Dangerous Disregard for American Liberties and Constitutional Rights

Among the ever-evolving excuses for why Democrats and political hitmen inside the government wanted to keep all their dirty laundry secret was that airing it would reveal important “sources and methods” Department of Justice investigators use to “keep America safe.”

Now that the memo has been released, all but the most delusional partisans and bureaucratic whitewash specialists are shocked and dismayed over how thoroughly the Obama Administration had infected the DOJ with partisan politics.

Not to mention a complete disregard for individual constitutional rights and civil liberties. Constitutional rights and civil liberties be damned if they get in the way of a phony political hitjob against a political opponent!

And in case anyone wondered whether former FBI Director James B. Comey had a shred of integrity left, he settled the issue with a tweet.

“That’s it?” he inquired. Of the memo that explained how Obama justice officials used Russian-manufactured propaganda paid for by Democrats and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to apply for a warrant to spy on a private citizen working for the campaign of then-candidate Donald Trump.

Yeah, that was it, Jimmy Boy. The fact you are not shocked and outraged by it all only reveals just how thoroughly corrupted you have become.

Still, people who read the memo are standing around scratching their heads trying to figure out what “sources and methods” might have actually been revealed by the publication of the memo.

Best they can come up with is a Yahoo News story based on information leaked from the Kremlin-backed, U.S. Democrat-funded “Dirty Dossier” that was used — at least in part, according to the Republican memo — to obtain a secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant to spy on a low-level Trump campaign adviser.

Now was this a “source” or a “method”?
If Yahoo News (not to be confused with the delicious cold chocolate drink Yoo-hoo) is a “source” for America’s top intelligence services, then perhaps they should consider getting better sources.

Or was Yahoo News a “method”? Meaning, America’s intel geniuses knowingly used “news” from Yahoo News that was leaked from a bogus partisan dossier written by the Kremlin and paid for by the Democrats?

If that’s the case they need better methods, too.

The real “sources and methods” exposed by the Republican memo, I fear, is the most obvious one: the FISA court itself.

The real reason American intelligence officials worked so feverishly to conceal the GOP memo is that it exposes a dangerous disregard for American liberties and constitutional rights when it comes to spooks applying for search warrants on American citizens, raising serious questions about the entire FISA process.
If the spies seeking these warrants are not more forthcoming and honest and the judges granting these warrants are not more demanding and suspicious, then the whole process should be completely overhauled.

In the meantime, all of it should be exposed to sunlight. And that includes declassifying and releasing all the search warrants relating to this whole snake-bit Russia “collusion” investigation.

'Secret Society' Redux - Ron Johnson Acolyte Deuce Brings His Latest Conspiracy Theory Sans
Faulty Timeline Reference to The EB

Yesterday, someone looked at the timeline of the Clinton email investigation and pointed out that it doesn't seem to support the latest GOP charges that the September 2, 2016 Page email to Strzok saying 'potus wants to know everything we're doing' referred to the Clinton email investigation which as it happens was closed in July, one month prior to the Page memo.

An alternate explanation for the phrase has been offered by Page, Strzok and Obama. They indicate the phrase 'potus wants to know everything we're doing' refers to the ongoing Russian interference investigation, an explanation that is supported by the timeline and the fact that a couple days later Obama would be meeting with and confronting Putin over Russian interference in US elections while at the G20 summit in China.

Two stories about a phrase that is so opaque concerning subject matter that it can be open to interpretation. One interpretation offered to explain it is from the people actually involved, Page, Strzok, and Obama. It is an explanation that is at least supported by the timeline of events.

Then, you have the other explanation, a speculative one, that doesn't appear to be supported by the timeline of events. It was initially offered up by 'Conspiracy Theory' Ron Johnson, the author of the FBI 'Secret Society' meme that ran rampant for a couple days not long ago. It evidently has yet to run its course.

    What to believe?

    On other matters, Drudge reports...

    - Large group of Big Foot reported attacking settlers in the Snake River Basin.

    - NASA reports Elon Musk's space Tesla seen racing across the Martian landscape.

    - Idaho's rampaging Big Foot youths reported as recent converts to Islam...Geller

    - Trump Homeland Security secretary announces Big Foot's declared illegal aliens unless they can provide green cards or proof of citizenship.

    - Trump reportedly requesting an additional $5 billion to pay for 30 foot wall around Idaho to keep illegals in.

    .

    .

. One supported by the actual timeline of the event and supported by the bane of the Trumpies, the Page/Strzok/Obama triumvirate, people who were actually involved in the issue and the other which is questionable

  13. OBAMA KNEW

The then-president wanted “to know everything” the FBI was doing in the Russia probe.
    February 8, 2018 Matthew Vadum

Former President Obama wanted “to know everything” the FBI was doing in its investigation into claims that Russia was interfering in the 2016 election, a new report suggests, raising the specter of a sitting president becoming involved in a plot to rig the 2016 election.

It was a year ago the outlines of a Watergate-like conspiracy emerged in which a term-limited Democrat president used the privacy-invading apparatus of the state to spy on a Republican presidential candidate. Watergate differed in that President Nixon didn’t get involved in the plot against the Democratic National Committee until later as an accomplice after the fact.

But this new evidence suggests Obama may have been part of a sinister anti-democratic cabal from the beginning....

The former paramour of the FBI's James Bond 007 Wannabee master spychaser, Peter Strzok, has been caught on camera by the Daily Mail. For reasons of copyright, we can only show a thumbnail size version of her face, but follow the link to see the Big Picture.

Picture - "Concentration Upon The Noose"

Page no longer looks like a smiling, gummy, toothsome Mata Hari, as the now-famous picture taken in law school showed her.

    Picture

To my eyes, she now looks like a younger Nancy Pelosi at a State of the Union Speech. She has a sad face, bedraggled hair and is dressed all in black, as if she is in mourning.

If she thinks it is bad now, wait until she faces a grand jury.

  16. Could be just morons:

Jim Cramer, CNBC’s “Mad Money” host and resident “booyah” button pusher, isn’t exactly known for measured takes on the stock market.

And Thursday morning, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -2.63% in full retreat, certainly was no different.

Here’s what’s irking him about it all:

‘What bothers me is the people who have never looked at a stock and don’t know how to analyze it [are] out in full force today. They’ve never been better about not knowing anything about the stocks. They got it all figured out.’
Cramer also touched on Vietnam war, his father and talking politics at the dinner table, but that’s all beside the point.

As for the wild market action, the former hedge-fund manager blamed a ”group of complete morons” trading leveraged volatility products for “blowing up” everything.

While he didn’t call them out by name, he could have been referring to that guy on Reddit who lost $4 million playing the XIV XIV, -13.08% . Or maybe that former Target TGT, -2.13% manager who is trying to recoup his losses by placing a $600,000 bet against volatility VIX, +16.01% .

I've got 100% financing lined up with a go-go credit union, whose membership bitches, even in the newspaper once, that they shouldn't be doing so many big deals, but more loans to boats, pickups, RV, motorcycles etc. Perfectly reasonable point of view from the small investor/depositor/borrower point of view. It is not a Federal Credit Union, which gives them some restrictions but also avoids a lot of other difficulties and mandates to meet.

Also being cautious, I have a reliable backup source of funding if I need it......my old Jewish lawyer who now lives outside of Phoenix. :)

So, I think it will go OK, and it really is getting to the now or never time for me.

Moscow, Idaho and Pullman, Washington go through definite cycles in multifamily housing building....a little overbuilt for a while, then pausing, then building up to the always renewed demand, rinse, repeat. We are right in the middle of a building cycle now. Also I have single family and duplex lots, in addition to high density, both of which are in demand. I have some security in having the best location available, so even if rentals go empty elsewhere in town, it doesn't ever seem to happen out my way.

Washington State University in Pullman now has more than 20,000 students which I thought would never happen.....University of Washington in Seattle is a little over 30,000 as it has been forever. They are out of expansion opportunities there, unless they start using boathouses on Lake Washington....

So I think I'll be OK.

  29. I am reluctantly concluding that Swedes must be Idiots All, except in Idaho.

In Sweden they have just appointed a muzzie to be head of their Cultural Affairs Office, or whatever it is called.

Why not just shoot one's culture in the head ?

In Minnesota they elected the muzzie fane Keith Ellison, without even a sense of irony.

Maybe they are just all suicidal. It can be really cold and grim in both locales.

The Emigrants (Swedish: Utvandrarna) is a 1971 Swedish film directed by Jan Troell and starring Max von Sydow, Liv Ullmann, Eddie Axberg and Allan Edwall. It tells the story of a Swedish group who emigrate from Småland, Sweden to Minnesota, United States in the 19th century. The film follows the hardship of the group in Sweden and on the trip.

The film is based on the first two novels of The Emigrants series by Vilhelm Moberg, namely The Emigrants and Unto a Good Land. It was adapted for the screen by Bengt Forslund and Troell.

The Emigrants won international acclaim, and was nominated for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1971. It was nominated for four more Oscars the following year, including for Best Picture.

It is followed by a 1972 sequel, The New Land (Nybyggarna), with the same cast. The 1974 U.S. television series The New Land is based loosely on both The Emigrants and its sequel.
