I want to thank everyone who participated in the Elephant Bar over the past twelve years. We had millions of visitors from all around the World and you were part of it. Over the past dozen years, two or three times a night, I would open my laptop and some of you were always there. I will miss that.

My plans are to continue my work with technology and architecture. You know my interests and thoughts.

At times, things would get a little rough in the EB. To those of you that I may have offended over the years, I apologize. From all of you, I learned and grew.

An elephant never forgets.
Be well.

Hey Donald, Call for a Million or Two to Roll Into Washington !

Is the system rigged? You betcha

Pat Buchanan: 'Big Media is the power that sustains the forces of globalism'

WASHINGTON – “Remember, it’s a rigged system. It’s a rigged election,” said Donald Trump in New Hampshire on Saturday.

The stunned recoil in this city suggests this bunker buster went right down the chimney. As the French put it, “Il n’y a que la verite qui blesse.” It is only the truth that hurts.

In what sense is the system rigged?

Consider Big Media – the elite columnists and commentators, the dominant national press, and the national and cable networks, save Fox. Not in this writer’s lifetime has there been such blanket hatred and hostility of a presidential candidate of a major party.

“So what?” They reply. “We have a free press!”

But in this election, Big Media have burst out of the closet as an adjunct of the regime and the attack arm of the Clinton campaign, aiming to bring Trump down.
Half a century ago, Theodore White wrote of the power and bias of the “adversary press” that sought to bring down Richard Nixon.

“The power of the press in America,” wrote Teddy, “is a primordial one. It sets the agenda of public discussion; and this sweeping power is unrestrained by any law. It determines what people will talk about and think about – an authority that in other nations is reserved for tyrants, priests, parties and mandarins.”

On ABC’s “This Week,” Newt Gingrich volunteered on Sunday that, “without the unending one-sided assault of the news media, Trump would be beating Hillary by 15 points.”

On this one, Newt is right.

With all due respect, as adversaries, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are not terribly formidable. Big Media is the power that sustains the forces of globalism against those of Americanism.

For half a century, the U.S. Supreme Court has systematically de-Christianized and paganize American society and declared abortion and homosexual marriage constitutional rights.

Where did these unelected jurists get the right to impose their views and values upon us, and remake America in their own secularist image? Was that really the court’s role in the Constitution?

How did we wind up with an all-powerful judicial tyranny in a nation the Founding Fathers created as a democratic republic?

There are more than 11 million illegal immigrants here, with millions more coming. Yet the government consistently refuses to enforce the immigration laws of the United States.

Why should those Americans whose ancestors created, fought, bled and died to preserve America not believe they and their children are being dispossessed of a country that was their patrimony – and without their consent?

When did the country vote to convert the America we grew up in into the Third World country our descendants will inherit in 2042?

In the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a congressional majority voted to end discrimination against black folks.

When did we vote to institute pervasive discrimination against white folks, especially white males, with affirmative action, quotas and racial set-asides? Even in blue states like California, affirmative action is routinely rejected in statewide ballots.

Yet it remains regime policy, embedded in the bureaucracy.

In 2015, in the Democratic primaries, the big enthusiastic crowds were all for 75-year-old socialist senator Bernie Sanders.

We now know, thanks to leaked emails, that not only the super delegates and the Obama White House but a collaborationist press and the DNC were colluding to deny Sanders any chance at the nomination.

The fix was in. Ask Sanders if he thinks the system is rigged.

If there is an issue upon which Americans agree, it is that they want secure borders and an end to trade policies that have shipped abroad the jobs, and arrested the wages, of working Americans.

Yet in a private speech that netted her $225,000 from Brazilian bankers, Hillary Clinton confided that she dreams of a “common market, with open trade and open borders” from Nome, Alaska, to Patagonia.

That would mean the end of the USA as a unique, sovereign and independent nation. But the American press, whose survival depends upon the big ad dollars of transnational corporations, is more interested in old tapes of the Donald on “The Howard Stern Show.”

As present, it appears that in 2017, we may get a government headed by Hillary Clinton, and an opposition headed by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.
Is that what the people were hoping for, working for, voting for in the primaries of 2016? Or is this what they were voting against?

Big money and the media power of the establishment elites and the transnationals may well prevail.

And if they do, Middle America – those who cling to their Bibles, bigotries and guns in Barack Obama’s depiction, those “deplorable” who are “racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic,” who are “not America” and are “irredeemable” in Hillary Clinton’s depiction – will have to accept the new regime.

But that does not mean they must love it, like it or respect it.

Because, in the last analysis, yes, Virginia, the system is rigged.

  1. I'd try to figure a way to go.

Never been to D.C., Cesspool, USA.

    It's time.

    1. Just talked to my son in Lexington, Kentucky.

He says all he sees are Trump signs in Kentucky and Southern Ohio.

      He's a Millennial with a Mind.

      He's voting Trump.

    2. In May 2013, a Time magazine cover story described Millennials as those born from 1980 to 2000.[31] A 2016 report from Goldman Sachs describes Millennials as being born between 1980–2000.[32] Resolution Foundation described Millennials as those born between 1980 and 2000 (aged between 15 and 35) at the time of the research for a 2016 study comparing the earnings of Millennials to Generation X.[33][34]

Are you a Millennial, Ash ?

      Or Generation X ?

      The Peter Pan Generation ?

      Peter Pan generation
American sociologist Kathleen Shaputis labeled Millennials as the Boomerang Generation or Peter Pan generation, because of the members perceived tendency for delaying some rites of passage into adulthood for longer periods than most generations before them.

  2. Rigging the Election - Video I: Clinton Campaign and DNC Incite Violence at Trump Rallies

Dirty Tricks Operative Unwittingly Provides Dark Money Trail to the DNC and Clinton Campaign

Violence at Trump Rallies Traced to Clinton Campaign and the DNC Through Process Called Birddogging

Shady Coordinated Communications Chain Between DNC, Clinton Campaign, Hillary Clinton’s Super PAC and Other Organizations Revealed

Key Clinton Operative: “It doesn’t matter what the friggin’ legal and ethics people say, we need to win this motherfucker”

Project Veritas Action has just released the first video in a multi-part series which exposes the dark secrets at the highest levels of the DNC and Clinton presidential campaign. Using hidden cameras, undercover journalists reveal key players coordinating clandestine operations in support of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The video, supported by emails recently released by WikiLeaks, shows that the dirty tricks, lines of communications and the money trail lead all the way to the top.

The video discloses numerous examples of behind-the-scenes shady practices with consequences most Americans have seen on national television at Donald Trump campaign rallies across the country. What the media hasn’t reported is that the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee has been directing these activities with, at very best, a very thin veil of plausible deniability. This series of videos is the culmination of a year-long investigation by the undercover journalists at Project Veritas Action.

Scott Foval is the National Field Director for a non-profit organization named Americans United for Change. In the video, he told an undercover investigator that they contract “directly with the DNC and the [Clinton] campaign both.”

“I am contracted to him [Bob Creamer],” says Foval to an undercover reporter. “But I answer to the head of Special Events for the DNC and the head of special events and political for the campaign.”
“The [Clinton] campaign pays DNC, DNC pays Democracy Partners, Democracy Partners pays the Foval Group, The Foval Group goes and executes the shit…” continued Foval. “Democracy Partners is the tip of the spear on that stuff.”.....

If totalitarianism comes to the USA it will come from the Left, not the Right

  3. There were a few guffahs when in the past I claimed the who OOrah mindset in Washington was an establishment fix. This has been going on for some time. I was for Bernie sanders before he folded.

I added a video onto this post. Blog editor is correct about Trump’s Madison speech. he was relaxed , confident and had a knowing smirk. Check the video.

  4. The Rescue Committee also is among the handful of agencies that will monitor the mandatory security screenings of all men and boys over age 14 who leave Mosul; Iraqi and Kurdish authorities imposed the checks to make sure no Islamic State fighters flee among ordinary families.

Thousands already have made their way out of nearby Hawija as coalition forces fight their way toward the city. Aram Shakaram, Save the Children's deputy country director for Iraq, said the flow out of the area - traumatized families arrive starving and near collapse after journeys through explosives-laced mountain trails - is a harbinger of the coming crisis.

"This is just the start and we fear it is going to get much more," Shakaram said. "The conditions for people fleeing Hawija are an early warning sign of what will happen when far greater numbers flee Mosul itself."

  5. Dr. Ted Noel produces a four minute summation of Hillary's Parkinson's symptoms, and adds a hand tremor from the debate.

He did not mention the Drug holidays, which have been essential for her making it through the debates.

  6. The house where Adolf Hitler was born will be razed and a new building will be erected in its place, Austrian Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka said on Monday, announcing a final decision on the problematic structure.

The Hitler family had rented an apartment in the building for the first year after Adolf Hitler's birth in 1889.

A memorial stone was erected on the footpath in 1989, quarried from on the grounds of the former Mauthausen concentration camp. It reads: "For peace freedom and democracy never again fascism millions of dead remind [us]."

  7. .

A few days back when the US first reported that a US Destroyer was fired upon by a missile fired by the Houthi rebels, I predicted we could expect the usual course of events. First and foremost, the alleged incident would take attention away from the negative publicity the administration was getting over the bombing of that funeral by its ally, Saudi Arabia. Then would follow the usual kabuki. Denunciations and threats by the Pentagon and at the UN. Possible bombing of the Houthi and justification of it by the likes of Samantha Powers, Josh Earnest, and John Kirby. The net result, having 'been forced into it' the US was forced to take a more active part in the war, not by choice but in order to protect US troops in the area.

So far it's worked out pretty much along the lines predicted (well, with the exception of Iran sending in those warships).

Anyway now I will push my luck and make a second prediction.

Between now and the election, we will get a steady diet of conspiracy theories and claims from Trump and the Trumpettes arguing that this election is rigged. When Trump loses, there will be a gigantic uproar from the same people with a great gnashing of teeth and rending of clothes and a mighty roar of Fix! The Fix was in!. Eventually, after a while (a long while) things will die down a little. However, even after years, there will be in certain dives and deadender bars across the country drunken near intelligible discussion about the current shitty state of politics in this country and someone will suddenly say, "Things would have been different if Trump had won in 2016." And somebody else will chime in, "They stole that damn election from him." And others will mutter their agreement.

And from a table somewhere in the back to the left of the long bar, someone will be heard loudly and drunkenly exclaiming to a similar table drunken deadender Dems, “Everybody knows Al Gore was the winner in 2000. The damn Bushes stole that election.” And you should be able to hear muttering agreement there too.

    1. .

You probably noticed I only predict sure things.

    2. In this case (not the first time) you merely repeated the MSM narrative.

...and, like the MSM, you leave out the important point mentioned by Trump:

The inarguable extreme bias of the MSM and almost total blackout of the Wikileaks information.

    3. I doubt any missiles were fired at those ships. It reeks of bullshit.

    4. Reports on Saturday night that the USS Mason came under attack for the third time in less than a week off the coast of Yemen were quietly rolled back by the Pentagon, who have since noted they aren’t really sure about that, and reiterated today that they are still “assessing” the claim.

Reports following the “attack” and the warship’s “retaliation” indicated that the Pentagon believed there was a strong possibility that no missiles were fired at the ship at all, and the detection of the missiles was the result of a radar malfunction.

  8. I can hardly wait for the next round of gimpy Hillary’s rope-a-dope high wire act carrying her sea trunks of baggage. She is lucky she has three crooked officials calling the rounds because she has yet to feel the George Chuvalo counterpunching of Trump.

What motivates terrorists to attack the US and US targets overseas? US foreign policy primarily characterized by US bombs fired by drone into countries primarily in the Middle East. This has been Ron Paul’s contention for years. Now we see that the FBI agrees. On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report we discuss a recent article about a leaked FBI internal counter-terrorism study and its (not so) surprising conclusions. Will Washington listen to the work of its own agency and work to change its foreign policy?

    1. Pure genius, and all the while I thought they were against and jealous of our Big Macs and our advanced Kardashian culture.

  10. The word on the street out this way is that Julian Assange is losing his protection and will be arrested in a day or two.

This isn't a prediction because it isn't a sure thing.

  11. There's no truth to the allegation that the MSM is trying to rig the election, even though well over 90% of their political donations go to Hillary. If you believe that allegation really you are slandering our noble and honored Fourth Estate.

  12. Jihad Watch
Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Politico’s Glenn Thrush sends story to Hillary aide for approval, admits he’s a “hack”
October 17, 2016 10:54 pm By Robert Spencer

This is not a story about jihad, and yet it is. This story, along with stories about how Leftist Soros-funded groups bought favorable coverage of the Iran deal and the Muslim migrant inundation, and also bought hit pieces on foes of jihad terror, sheds light on what the mainstream media really is: a propaganda organ for the Left and the Democratic Party in particular, not in any sense a genuine source of news.

This story explains why no mainstream media outlet ever covers foes of jihad terror favorably or give them a fair hearing, or ever notes the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ links to Hamas, or the Southern Poverty Law Center’s vicious bias and hard-Left agenda, but treats both as if they were objective, respected and respectable sources of information. It gives an insight into what might be motivating “journalists” such as Andrew Kaczynski, Christopher Massie, Scott Shane, Christiane Amanpour, Bob Smietana, Niraj Warikoo, Kari Huus, Dave Weigel, Lisa Wangsness, Anne Barnard, Michael Kruse and so very many others. Clearly they aren’t remotely honest reporters; are they bought and paid for shills for the dominant political perspective?

Will Politico fire Thrush? Of course not. If they did, they’d have to fire the rest of their staff, and all the other mainstream media outlets would have to as well.

“Politico Reporter Sends Story To Hillary Aide For Approval, Admits He’s A ‘Hack,’” by Alex Pfeiffer, Daily Caller, October 17, 2016:

A Politico reporter has been caught sending his journalism to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman for approval.

In an April 30, 2015 email, released Monday by WikiLeaks, Politico’s chief political correspondent Glenn Thrush asked John Podesta to approve his writing pre-publication. Thrush begged Podesta not to tell anyone he had shared the copy and referred to himself as “a hack” in the email exchange.
“No worries Because I have become a hack I will send u the whole section that pertains to u,” Thrush wrote to Podesta. “Please don’t share or tell anyone I did this Tell me if I fucked up anything.”…

Is poll-leading Hillary Clinton the Ghost Candidate?
    By Joseph Smith

Hillary Clinton is all but measuring the drapes for the Oval Office, but some things in this campaign don't add up:

Trump supporter Wayne Allen Root paints Hillary Clinton as the political equivalent of the "ghost cities" of China that no one lives in:

This reminds me of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. She exists, but are there any real people behind her? Are you certain anyone is voting for her?

While Trump rallies are "once-in-a-lifetime experiences ... like Woodstock for working-class conservatives," Hillary is lucky to draw 200 people.

No one buys Hillary's books or campaign gear, either.  Root tells of a friend who found only Hillary gear at the airport gift shop and, on inquiring, was told that the Trump hats and shirts that come in twice a week are sold out "within hours."

Hillary's gear? They can't give it away.

... This doesn't appear odd to you? Hillary is leading in the polls, but no one attends her rallies, no one buys her books and no one buys her merchandise[.] ... She is a candidate whose own supporters don't like her.

... Hillary is the "Ghost Candidate."

V.P. candidate Tim Kaine is equally uninspiring, drawing just fifty people to a rally last Friday in Miami.  Mr. Kaine spoke from the back of a pickup truck with a street-art poster for a back drop, and the estimate of fifty attendees appears to include organizers, a few photographers, and at least two children well under voting age.

Yet Mr. Kaine may be one dizzy spell from the Oval Office.

Ed Klein, author of several books on the Obamas and the Clintons, has a column out on Mrs. Clinton's maladies.

Mr. Klein reveals that President Obama and his senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, "have been so worried about Hillary's health that they recently offered to arrange a secret medical checkup for her."  Mrs. Clinton refused the offer, fearing that "a leak to the media would prove fatal to her presidential campaign."

    According to Mr. Klein:

[H]er doctors have discovered she suffers from arrhythmia (an abnormal heart beat) and a leaking heart valve. They have recommended that she consider having valve replacement surgery, but Hillary has refused because she does not want to risk the negative political fallout from stories about such a serious operation.

... Hillary suffers from chronic low blood pressure, insufficient blood flow, a tendency to form life-threatening blood clots, and troubling side effects from her medications.
Not to mention a predilection for deception.

    1. This comment has been removed by the author.

    2. Klein continues:

Among Hillary's friends, it is common knowledge that she suffers from tension headaches, sits with her feet elevated, nods off to sleep while studying her speeches, gets dizzy and has frequently stumbled and fallen at her home in Chappaqua. She asks her closest aide, Huma Abedin, to rub her shoulders and bring her cold compresses for her neck and forehead.

So to recap, Hillary is leading in the polls but doesn't draw crowds, can't give away her merchandise, and is not liked by her own supporters.  Her running mate is equally uninspiring and acted like an irritating jerk in his one moment under the lights.  Mrs. Clinton is in failing health and is unlikely to be able to withstand the rigors of the presidency.

      Makes perfect sense to me.

Meanwhile, New York Times reporter Stephen Hiltner filed this report on a recent cross-country trip:
Over the course of eight days, while traveling some 3,000 miles by motorcycle across the northern United States, I was steadily confronted by presidential yard signs.

I idly recorded those in support of Donald J. Trump until, after the first few days, the number approached 100. I eventually lost count.

Those in support of Hillary Clinton were comparatively easy to keep track of: I traveled nearly 2,500 miles before I saw a single one.

While Mr. Hiltner's route took him through states that lean Republican, he says of Trump:
Still, the route alone would not fully explain his utter dominance of the pastures, lawns and embankments that formed the margins of my field of vision.

The Times reporter observes that yard signs are "an outdated form of political advertising" that seems "quaint, almost historical."  Left unsaid is the implication that only rubes would use such archaic means of expression in the digital age.

Hiltner interviewed the owner of the first Hillary sign he encountered, in Thorntown, Indiana, and that individual recommended a visit to a nearby fall festival (emphasis in original):
But by the time I reached the crowds who were gathered there, just a few blocks to the east, a different kind of music had once again caught my attention.

It was the continuing chorus of America's roadways, as sung by the yard signs of Thorntown: TRUMP, TRUMP, TRUMP.

So poll-leading Hillary has no crowds, no sales, and no signs.  Her inept running mate may be one dizzy spell away from the Oval Office, and she has an opponent generating historic levels of enthusiasm.  Despite what her media supporters would have us believe, it just doesn't add up.

More FBI agents turn on Comey: ‘He stood in the way’

posted at 9:31 am on October 18, 2016 by Larry O'Connor

We made some waves last week when we highlighted remarks made by former US Attorney for the District of Columbia Joe diGenova regarding the current mood among career FBI investigators over FBI Director James Comey’s mishandling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of an unauthorized email server for government business.

According to diGenova (in an interview with WMAL radio in Washington DC) the agents he spoke to think Comey is “a hack” and is “a dirty cop.”

This is a big development. This means there are some great, traditional, honest people inside the FBI and DOJ who will not let this stand. They know that Comey is a dirty cop and they are disgusted. Inside the bureau I had a meeting today with a senior former FBI agent who told me this exact story. That people are starting to talk. They’re calling their former friends outside the bureau asking for help. We were asked, today, to provide legal representation for people inside the bureau and we agreed to do so. And, to former agents who want to come forward to talk.

Comey thought this was going to go away. It is not. People inside the  are furious. They are embarrassed. They feel they are being led by a hack. But, more than that, they think he’s a crook. They think he’s fundamentally dishonest. They have no confidence in him. The bureau, inside, right now… is a mess.

More agents are now coming forward and telling their stories.

Kerry Pickett at the Daily Caller has a couple of sources who detail everything that went wrong with Comey’s investigation:

“This is a textbook case where a grand jury should have been convened, but was not. That is appalling. We talk about it in the office and don’t know how Comey can keep going.

We didn’t search their house. We always search the house. The search should not just have been for private electronics, which contained classified material, but even for printouts of such material.
There should have been a complete search of their residence. That the FBI did not seize devices is unbelievable. The FBI even seizes devices that have been set on fire.”

Pickett also spoke with another special agent who she describes as someone who “worked counter-terrorism and criminal cases.”

“Comey was never an investigator or special agent. The special agents are trained investigators and they are insulted that Comey included them in ‘collective we’ statements in his testimony to imply that the SAs agreed that there was nothing there to prosecute,” the second agent said. “All the trained investigators agree that there is a lot to prosecute but he stood in the way.”

He added, “The idea that [the Clinton/e-mail case] didn’t go to a grand jury is ridiculous.”
So between these two agents, and the agents who spoke to diGenova, there appears to be a growing lack of confidence within the FBI in the integrity and even competence of the man who occupies the same office of J. Edgar Hoover.

At what point does congress, using their oversight role, issue subpoenas and get these agents under oath and on the record to help save the image and reputation of their historic agency?

Poor Julian. I hope he can hang on until offered asylum by Trump.

A nonpartisan group finds 19 out of every 20 campaign dollars donated by the media industry are being given to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
The analysis was conducted by the Center for Public Integrity, and it found that 96 percent of campaign donations by roughly 480 media donors went to Clinton. Roughly 430 media people donated $382,000 to Clinton, while roughly 40 media people donated $14,000 to Donald Trump’s campaign.

    1. My observations of their behavior have led me to conclude that between Hill and Huma, Hill plays the role of the Butch, Huma the submissive Bitch.

    2. It is better to live in a corner of the roof Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.

    3. It is better to let someone else find out if a Muzzie has been truly and permanently cured.

    4. "My observations of their behavior have led me to conclude that between Hill and Huma, Hill plays the role of the Butch, Huma the submissive Bitch."

With her choices of Huma and Carlos Danger, I'd wager Huma has some issues.

    John McCain said:

I promise you that we will be united against any Supreme Court nominee that Hillary Clinton, if she were president, would put up. I promise you. This is where we need the majority...

    John McCain's spokesperson said,

Senator McCain will, of course, thoroughly examine the record of any Supreme Court nominee put before the Senate and vote for or against that individual based on their qualifications as he has done throughout his career.

    1. You've won me over, John, I'm voting for Hillary.

    2. John McCain’s temper is well documented. He’s called opponents and colleagues “shitheads,” “assholes” and in at least one case “a fucking jerk.”...

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain’s intemperateness.

In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, “You’re getting a little thin up there.”

McCain’s face reddened, and he responded,
“At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.”

McCain’s excuse was that it had been a long day.

He was probably right, but he should have included himself too.

    1. Hazmat crews responded and hosed down the responders who were exposed.

Florida's Turnpike was closed for hours as crews tried to determine what the substance was. The vehicle was towed away with the bodies still inside. It was brought to the medical examiner's office, where an autopsy and substance test may hold the answers to a huge hole of information.

    2. Reporter finds huge hole of information.

"an autopsy and substance test may hold the answers to a huge hole of information."

    3. In forensics, a huge hole of information is known as a QUIRK HOLE.
