Dozens of US diplomats call for military strikes against Syria’s Assad
More than 50 State Department diplomats have signed an internal memo sharply critical of US policy in Syria, calling for military strikes against President Bashar al-Assad’s government to stop its persistent violations of a civil war cease-fire.
The “dissent channel cable” was signed by 51 mid- to high-level State Department officers involved with advising on Syria policy. It was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
The cable calls for “targeted military strikes” against the Syrian government in light of the near-collapse of the cease-fire brokered earlier this year, the Journal reported, citing copies of the cable it had seen.
Military strikes against the Assad government would represent a major change in the Obama administration’s longstanding policy of not intervening directly in the Syrian civil war, even as it has called for a political transition that would see Assad leave power.
One US official, who did not sign the cable but has read it, told Reuters the White House remained opposed to deeper American military involvement in the Syrian conflict.
The official said the cable was unlikely to alter that, or shift Obama’s focus from the battle against the persistent and spreading threat posed by the Islamic State militant group.
A second source who had read the cable said it reflected the views of US officials who have worked on Syria, some of them for years, and who believe the current policy is ineffective.
“In a nutshell, the group would like to see a military option put forward to put some pressure ... on the regime,” said the second source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
While dissent cables are not unusual, the number of signatures on the document is extremely large.
“That is an astonishingly high number,” said Robert Ford, who resigned in 2014 as US ambassador to Syria over policy disagreements, and is now at the Middle East Institute, a Washington think tank.
“For the last four years, the working level at the State Department has been urging that there be more pressure on Bashar al-Assad’s government to move to a negotiated solution” to Syria’s civil war, he said.
Ford noted that this is not the first time the State Department has argued for a more activist Syria policy. In the summer of 2012, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proposed arming and training anti-Assad rebels. The plan, which had backing from other Cabinet officials, was rejected by President Barack Obama and his White House aides.
The dissenting cable discussed the possibility of air strikes but made no mention of adding US ground troops to Syria. The United States has about 300 US special operations forces in Syria carrying out a counter-terrorism mission against Islamic State militants but not targeting the Assad government.
“We are aware of a dissent channel cable written by a group of State Department employees regarding the situation in Syria,” State Department spokesman John Kirby said in an email. “We are reviewing the cable now, which came up very recently, and I am not going to comment on the contents.”
Kirby said the “dissent channel” was an official forum that allows State Department employees to express alternative views.
Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan told a congressional hearing on Thursday that Assad was in a stronger position than he was a year ago, bolstered by Russian air strikes against the moderate opposition.
Brennan also said Islamic State’s “terrorism capacity and global reach” had not been reduced. The names on the memo are almost all mid-level officials - many of them career diplomats - who have been involved in the administration’s Syria policy over the past five years, at home or abroad, the New York Times said.

Muslim who said 9/11 “changed the world for good” is on Homeland Security Advisory Council
June 16, 2016 8:02 am By Robert Spencer 117 Comments
How by any stretch of anyone’s imagination can Laila Alawa be seen as someone who cares in the slightest degree about “homeland security”? She is quite obviously on the other side, and if we had a sane political and media culture, her presence on the DHS Advisory Council would be a major scandal.
Laila Alawa
“Syrian Immigrant Who Said 9/11 ‘Changed The World For Good’ Is A Homeland Security Adviser,” by Peter Hasson, Daily Caller, June 13, 2016:
“One of the sitting members on the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism is a 25-year-old immigrant of Syrian heritage who said that the 9/11 attacks “changed the world for good” and has consistently disparaged America, free speech and white people on social media.
Completing this poll entitles you to Daily Caller news updates free of charge. You may opt out at anytime. You also agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Laila Alawa was one of just 15 people tapped to serve on the newly-formed HSAC Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism in 2015 — the same year she became an American citizen. Just last week, the subcommittee submitted a report to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, recommending that the DHS avoid using Muslim terminology like the words “sharia” and “jihad” when discussing terrorism.
Alawa says she immigrated into the U.S. when she was ten years old. Her family had already left Syria by the time she was born. “But I will always be Syrian. I will always be from Syria. I will always be of Syria,” she wrote in November 2015, calling the country her “homeland.”
In 2014, Alawa commemorated the September 11 attacks by tweeting that “9/11 changed the world for good, and there’s no other way to say it.”
Exactly a year later, she claimed that, after September 11, “Being American meant you were white.”
In April 2013, she responded to a tweet from activist Pamela Geller who called the Boston Marathon bombings “jihad” by tweeting: “go fuck yourself.”
On September 21 — the day after Secretary of State John Kerry announced that the U.S. would accept 85,000 Syrian refugees in 2016 and 100,000 more in 2017 — Alawa mocked the “Salty white tears all over my newsfeed.”
In the Countering Violent Extremism report published last week, Alawa and her fellow subcommittee members recommended that the Department of Homeland Security “adapt to the changing nature of violent extremism itself” by devoting more attention to “anarchists, sovereign citizens, white-supremacists, and others.”
DeleteThe report also recommended that, in order to combat violent extremism, the DHS “Focus on gender diversity of youth through careful attention to the range of push and pull factors that attract individuals of differing gender.”
As originally reported by The Daily Caller, the subcommittee Alawa serves on instructed the DHS to begin “using American English instead of religious, legal and cultural terms like ‘jihad,’ ‘sharia,’ ‘takfir‘ or ‘umma‘” when discussing terrorism in order to avoid offending Muslims.
Two months before Secretary Johnson created the Subcommittee on Combatting Violent Extremism, Alawa tweeted: “THE US HAS NEVER BEEN A UTOPIA UNLESS YOU WERE A STRAIGHT WHITE MALE THAT OWNED LAND. straight up period go home shut up.”
She has previously indicated her belief that only “idiots” believe that “America is the best nation in the world.”
In September 2014, a week after saying that “9/11 changed the world for good,” Alawa said that “9/11 is your day to pull out your flag themed clothing, and my day to look behind my back as I walk home.”
Alawa is outspoken in her belief that “Islamophobic” rhetoric shouldn’t be allowed.
“We are living in a country that deems it ‘freedom of speech’ to spew absolutely hateful ish about Muslims. That’s not freedom of speech,” she tweeted.
Less than two weeks after the Boston Bombings, Alawa tweeted: “You can’t say something intolerant and not expect consequences. Not on my watch.” In April 2015, Alawa asked: “How the hell is the shit @PamelaGeller is spewing ‘free speech’? it’s straight up warmongering hate speech. It’s xenophobia.’”…

ReplyDeleteWhy Not Admit the Obvious: The President Won't Blame Them because He Agrees with Them
By Jeffrey T. Brown
We all know that Barack Obama was nominally a lawyer at some point in his past – not a good one, by anyone's account, but he was one. Assume for the moment that Barack Obama had as his client The Muslim Brotherhood, or CAIR, or Hamas, or any one of dozens of organizations dedicated to taking down the United States. Could he possibly have done a more effective job of hiding his client's actions or intentions while they went about conducting criminal operations unmolested as he has for seven years? Could he have been more successful at misdirecting and obfuscating and lying about their intentions and deeds than he has already been?
Though not every lawyer shares a client's philosophy, the zeal with which an attorney does his job can sometimes be proportionate to his identity with the client's goals and objectives. The president certainly is a zealous fellow when it comes to radical Islam.
We know he won't call it "radical Islam," claiming that that is a distraction or a talking point. Perhaps the real reason is that he doesn't believe that what the Islamists he supports are doing is radical at all. Maybe the actual issue is that he believes in and supports their efforts to infiltrate and subvert the United States. That would explain an awful lot, wouldn't it?
For seven years, we have heard how the president "doesn't get it" and is in over his head, is naive, and countless other excuses. None of this has ever been the problem. He gets it. He simply gets it with regard to his own agenda, his own end game.
It's the American people who continue not to get it. The president is in bed with the enemy....

Israel on Thursday dismissed Palestinian charges that it had cut the water supply to West Bank Palestinians, explaining that a broken water pipe had caused a temporary shortage.
ReplyDeleteIt published a short video of the broken pipe on its Twitter page on Wednesday, and has since fixed the pipe which services villages in the area of Jenin.
For the month of Ramadan, Israel has increased the water flow at night, when the usage is particularly high after the fast, the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, a branch of the Defense Ministry, said.
Separately, it also increased the flow of water in the Hebron and Bethlehem area by 5,000 cubic meters per hour, COGAT said.
It noted, however, that water demand there exceeds supply in the summer. Israel is working to expand the water infrastructure to fix that shortfall, a step that is made difficult given by the Palestinian refusal to cooperate on water issues, COGAT charged.
Water issues are regulated by the Israeli-Palestinian Joint Water Committee, which was established under the 1993 Oslo Accords. The committee has not met for more than five years.
Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said on Thursday that Israel, through its national water company Mekorot, was deliberately cutting of the Palestinian water supply.
“Israel wants to prevent Palestinians from leading a dignified life, and uses its control over our water resources to this end; while illegal Israeli settlements enjoy uninterrupted water service, Palestinians are forced to spend great sums of money to buy water that is theirs in the first place,” Hamdallah said.
A number of media outlets also ran stories with headlines accusing Israel of deliberately depriving Palestinians of water.
In an official statement, Mekorot acknowledged the supply shortage across the West Bank, but said that water supplies were reduced, not cut off, in both Israeliand Palestinian areas of the West Bank because the current infrastructure cannot meet the increased demand during the summer months.
The company noted that a master plan was recently approved by the Israel Water Authority for the area’s water sector. This will include cleaning and upgrading the water infrastructure throughout the West Bank.
This, the statement said, will help Mekorot meet demand.
Yigal Dilmoni, the deputy head of the Council of Jewish Communities of Judea and Samaria, said that the pipes were old and that the settlements were also experiencing a shortage.

This is a homecoming of sorts for me. My earliest Foreign Policy essay, in 2011, explored why China wanted carriers in the first place. Fear, honor, interest — the primal motives that spurred China to overhaul a 1980s-vintage hulk for active duty — remain at work today.

It’s worth speculating about how many carriers China will build. My guess is China is building toward a seven-carrier fleet, because that would let the PLAN keep using the Liaoning as a training ship while operating six fleet carriers. That sounds like a lot; the U.S. Navy has only 10.

Obama's personnel choices have been less than stellar. Every department in his administration from largest to smallest has been cited for incompetence and/or corruption. Van Jones, Obama's 'green jobs' czar, a communist and 9/11 'truther' was forced to resign from his job because of his controversial views.
Jeh Johnson, head of Homeland Security, is simply one of the many incompetents Obama has heading the various departments in his administration. But the case of Laila Alawa as reported by Idaho Bob, Jihad Watch, and the usual suspects there including Doug who is now apparently riding the Jihad Watch train along with the Rush Limbaugh Express seemed especially egregious.
So I decided to check up on Ms. Alawa. The first link I came to was from the Snopes fact-check site. It follows...
Laila Alawa
Rumors that President Obama appointed a woman named Laila Alawa to the Department of Homeland Security's violent extremism task force had little resemblance to the truth.
Claim: After the Orlando shooting, President Obama recruited Laila Alawa to serve on an anti-violent extremism Department of Homeland Security task force.
Conclusion: Mostly False
WHAT'S TRUE: In 2015 Laila Alawa participated in a panel discussion for the "Homeland Security Advisory Council Countering Violent Extremism Subcommittee."
WHAT'S FALSE: Alawa wasn't employed by the Department of Homeland Security, and her appointment to the discussion panel was unrelated to President Obama.
{...}

DeleteExample: [Collected via e-mail, June 2016]
Laila Alawa, a Syrian who "praised the 9/11 attacks" was hired by Obama to serve on a Homeland Security subcommittee on countering violent extremism.
Origin:One day after the Pulse Orlando nightclub shooting in June 2016, the web site Daily Caller published an article reporting that a sitting member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council is a Syrian immigrant who said that 9/11 "changed the world for good" and has "consistently disparaged America" on social media:
Laila Alawa was one of just 15 people tapped to serve on the newly-formed HSAC Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism in 2015 — the same year she became an American citizen. Just last week, the subcommittee submitted a report to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, recommending that the DHS avoid using Muslim terminology like the words “sharia” and “jihad” when discussing terrorism.
By 15 June 2016, various versions of this story reported that President Barack Obama personally appointed Alawa "recently" to "the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism":
President Obama once again has shown his cards as an out of touch progressive with an agenda. He recently appointed a 25 year old Syrian immigrant to the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism. This is the same person who rejoiced and praised the September 11th attacks and racially baited and attacked white people on social media.
The new appointee is Laila Alawa. She is placed on a committee that serves to stop another terrorist attack like September 11th. Despite the fact she praised it as a good thing. Seems rather ironic.
In September of 2014 she said,
“9/11 changed the world for good and there’s not other way to say it. I just hope we keep having open conversations about our differences.”
All versions of claims about Laila Alawa appeared in conjunction with widespread reporting on the mass shooting in Orlando. Some unreliable web sites claimed that President Obama personally appointed Alawa to a DHS role:
[Link to Political Insider article with headline
Just After Orlando, Obama Hires Muslim Who Praised 9/11 FOR THIS JOB]
Very little about this is true. Daily Caller linked to an undated document hosted on DHS.gov titled "Countering Violent Extremism Subcommittee Membership Roster," and Alawa's name appeared among committee members [PDF], but that roster was neither a "task force" nor connected to any active law enforcement initiative. (It's possible web sites confused that subcommittee with an unrelated Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) task force described in a January 2016 DHS release.)
On 9 June 2016, DHS issued a report [PDF] that explicitly described a discussion-based meeting, not a law enforcement effort, that took place in late 2015 (well before the Orlando nightclub shooting):
In November 2015, Jeh C. Johnson, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (the Department), directed the Homeland Security Advisory Council (“HSAC”), to establish a subcommittee (“Subcommittee”) that is focused on Countering Violent Extremism (“CVE”).1 The Subcommittee was stood up to act as an incubator of ideas for the new Office for Community Partnerships (DHS/OCP), and has worked to leverage outside expertise and new thinking to support and enhance as well as assist in reframing and re-envisioning, where necessary the Department’s CVE efforts...
{...}
.
Delete{...}
Specifically, the Subcommittee was asked to address how the Department could best support non-governmental initiatives that either directly or indirectly counter violent extremism, including:
o• Identifying opportunities or platforms useful for the Department’s facilitation of
public-private partnerships with both technology and philanthropic sectors.
o• The development of new networks and a framework for sustained dialogue and
engagement with those partners to include non-governmental sectors.
o• Other non-governmental sectors, besides technology and philanthropic, that should
be leveraged for CVE and how the Department should engage them.
o• How best to work with education and mental health professionals to help parents
and schools understand how they can counter youth radicalization to violence.
o• How the Department can inspire peer-to-peer attempts to challenge violent
extremism through public-private partnerships.
The subcommittee was not a "task force" and was clearly described as "an incubator of ideas" that aimed "to leverage outside expertise and new thinking to support and enhance as well as assist" existing efforts. In other words, it was a roundtable discussion and not a law enforcement initiative.
We contacted Alawa for further details about rumors pertaining to her following the Orlando shooting, and she confirmed that President Obama was not linked with her appointment to the committee, adding that the Daily Caller had urged people to call for her to be fired. But Alawa is not employed by the DHS in any capacity; rather, she heads a media organization called The Tempest, "created and run by diverse millennial women."
One rumor about Alawa came from a 2014 tweet of hers that was reproduced in articles published after the Orlando shooting:
9/11 changed the world for good and there’s no other way to say it. I just hope we keep having open conversations about our differences.
Alawa told us she didn't mean that 9/11 had changed the world "for the [greater] good," but that she meant the attack had changed the world "forever." She also disputed frequent characterizations of her as a "Syrian refugee," noting that she was around six years old when her family moved to Japan from Syria before settling in the United States. Alawa is 24 (not 25, as is often stated), and her move to the U.S. occurred well before the recent mass exodus of refugees from the strife in Syria.

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts
51% of U.S. Muslims want Sharia; 60% of young Muslims more loyal to Islam than to U.S.
October 15, 2015 3:43 pm By Robert Spencer
Really, what did you expect? A considerable portion of U.S. domestic and foreign policy is based on the assumption that Islam in the U.S. will be different: that Muslims here believe differently from those elsewhere, and do not accept the doctrines of violence against and subjugation of unbelievers that have characterized Islam throughout its history. But on what is that assumption based? Nothing but wishful thinking. And future generations of non-Muslims will pay the price.
Muslims_Pray_Capitol
“Meanwhile, An Islamic Fifth Column Builds Inside America,” by Paul Sperry, IBD, October 1, 2015 (thanks to Pamela Geller)
“In berating GOP presidential hopeful Ben Carson for suggesting a loyalty test for Muslims seeking high office, CNN host Jake Tapper maintained that he doesn’t know a single observant Muslim-American who wants to Islamize America.
“I just don’t know any Muslim-Americans — and I know plenty — who feel that way, even if they are observant Muslims,” he scowled.
Tapper doesn’t get out much. If he did, chances are he’d run into some of the 51% of Muslims living in the U.S. who just this June told Polling Co. they preferred having “the choice of being governed according to Shariah,” or Islamic law. Or the 60% of Muslim-Americans under 30 who told Pew Research they’re more loyal to Islam than America.
Maybe they’re all heretics, so let’s see what the enlightened Muslims think.
If Tapper did a little independent research he’d quickly find that America’s most respected Islamic leaders and scholars also want theocracy, not democracy, and even advocate trading the Constitution for the Quran.
These aren’t fringe players. These are the top officials representing the Muslim establishment in America today.
Hopefully none of them ever runs for president, because here’s what he’d have to say about the U.S. system of government:
• Muzammil Siddiqi, chairman of both the Fiqh Council of North America, which dispenses Islamic rulings, and the North American Islamic Trust, which owns most of the mosques in the U.S.: “As Muslims, we should participate in the system to safeguard our interests and try to bring gradual change, (but) we must not forget that Allah’s rules have to be established in all lands, and all our efforts should lead to that direction.”
• Omar Ahmad, co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the top Muslim lobby group in Washington: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Quran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”
• CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper: “I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future.”
• Imam Siraj Wahhaj, director of the Muslim Alliance in North America: “In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing. And the only thing that will remain will be Islam.”

Islamic Speaker Admits: Killing Gays is a Belief Held by ‘Moderate Muslims’
DeleteYet the regressive left STILL defends Islam
Paul Joseph Watson - June 15, 2016
In light of the massacre of dozens of people at a gay club in Orlando, it’s worth re-visiting the comments of Islamic speaker Fahad Qureshi, who admitted that the desire to see homosexuals killed was a belief held by so-called “moderate” Muslims.
During a conference held in May 2013, Qureshi complained that the media often frames views such as “the death penalty for homosexuals” or the subjugation of women as only being held by radical Muslims.
“I always try to tell them that….these are general views that every Muslim actually has….every Muslim believes in these things,” says Qureshi.
Video
Qureshi then asks the audience of Muslim attendees – black, white and Arab – to raise their hands if they agree with gender segregation and stoning women for adultery, as taught by the Koran.
Virtually every single ‘moderate’ Muslim in the room raises their hand to agree with these positions.
Qureshi then asks the audience if they go to “normal Sunni mosques in Norway.” Virtually everyone raises their hand in agreement once again.
“What are the politicians going to say now? What is the media going to say now? That we are all extremists? That we are all radicals? That we need to deport all of us from this country?” states Qureshi....

DeleteShaffer: 15% of refugees are ISIS
ReplyDeleteposted at 2:41 pm on June 17, 2016 by Larry O'Connor
Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer was a member of the military intelligence operations in the early days of the war in Afghanistan and chronicled his early efforts against the Taliban and Al Qaeda following the terror attacks of 9/11 in his book, Operation Dark Heart. He is a frequent guest on cable news and has an enormous wealth of sources in the US intelligence community.
Friday morning, he joined me and co-host Brian Wilson on our morning radio program on WMAL in Washington DC to comment on CIA Director John Brennan’s remarkable testimony Thursday on Capitol Hill detailing how ISIS is targeting the refugee and open borders to infiltrate our country.
“It’s gotten so bad they can’t cover it up anymore,” Shaffer said of Brennan’s testimony which reinforces the opinions of many critics of Obama’s failed policies in the Middle East. “I think some of these guys recognize that tying their future to the White House and the complete – I’ll just say it – lies that come out of the White House is going to be detrimental to their political future,” Shaffer added.
“Brennan is finally telling the truth,” he added.
Shaffer then addressed Brennan’s testimony regarding ISIS’ attempts to breach US territory through the porous national borders and by exploiting the Obama Administration’s lax policies toward immigration and refugee migration.
“I got the percentage from one of my sources. We’re talking about, right now, in the refugee stream, between 15-17% of individuals coming through the refugee stream are ISIS. Add to that the layer of the fact that we can’t really stream these folks.”
By the way, Hillary Clinton, presumptive presidential nominee for the Democrats, is on the record saying she wants to increase the number of these refugees to the United States by as much as 500% when she becomes president.
Later in the interview, Shaffer addressed how political correctness is stifling any opportunity to address this threat, or the warning signs that were evident regarding Omar Mateen prior to last weekend’s terror attacks in Orlando.
Shaffer singled out the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as one of the biggest obstacles preventing this administration from truly focusing on how to stop our enemy-which-can-not-be-named.
If you have the FBI out working, for goodness sake don’t ignore the instincts of a $120,000/yr agent who you’ve put a lot of money into to make him the pointy edge of the spear, from doing his job. That’s where CAIR comes in. We gotta get rid of CAIR. CAIR is an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trials. They are a Muslim Brotherhood cover. We have go to accept the fact that this propaganda machine of radical Islam is doing everything it can to blind us to the enemy. If we don’t do that, we’re gonna have more problems.

If he is, still 100,000 moslems a year is 100,000 moslems too many.
That would be 15,000 potential jihadis a year....if the 15% estimate is correct.
The dead in Orlando would probably feel that 1 is too many.

BORDER BREAKDOWN: ILLEGALS FLOOD IN; ALREADY TOPS ALL OF '15...DRUDGE
ReplyDelete.
ReplyDeleteAn Arizona PPP poll from about a month ago had John McCain and his GOP primary opponent, Kelli Ward, tied at 41% each. Couldn't find any newer polls. Maybe the rat's got something.
Yesterday...
Challenger Kelli Ward: John McCain Is Directly Responsible for the Rise of ISIS
Primary challenger Dr. Kelli Ward called out incumbent Republican Sen. John McCain following his fumbled criticism of President Barack Obama’s role in the rise of Islamic terror group ISIS.
It is McCain’s foreign policy that is “directly responsible,” Ward said, for facilitating the rise of “ruthless” Islamic terrorism.
Ward issued the following statement in response to McCain’s Thursday comments:
As we got used to during his 2008 presidential campaign, John McCain has once again thrown a punch at Barack Obama and immediately apologized for it, bowing to lick the boots of the political correctness police- Not surprising for the ultimate establishment insider.
I, however, am not afraid to place the blame right where it belongs: John McCain is “directly responsible” for the rise of ISIS. Without his dangerously distracted foreign policy, we would not have this ruthless Islamic extremist organization that crucifies children, systematically rapes women, oppresses Christians, and throws homosexuals off rooftops.
Libya and Iraq would not be the “Harvard of terrorism” they are now if it were not for his knee-jerk, trigger-happy foreign policy of promiscuously arming the supposedly moderate militants he says he is “intimate with” and overthrowing stable, albeit unsavory regimes. He even wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years and joked about risking military lives to “Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.” Even George W. Bush and Tony Blair have admitted that the 2003 invasion of Iraq created a vacuum which allowed jihadist ideologies to flourish. Our open border has given those emboldened elements access to our country and our citizens. McCain has been complicit in all of it.
The reason John is currently losing a reliably red state to a rubber stamp Obama Democrat is because he is dangerously distracted with his “Invade the World, Invite the World” agenda. John has proposed bombing, invading, or attacking at least thirteen countries in recent years, and in addition to his support for open borders and amnesty, he also wants to dump thousands of unvetted refugees into our streets and give them welfare to boot.
John McCain claims that I voted against funding the troops and that I have a weak record on national security. Any 5th grader understands that state legislators don’t vote on national security legislation.
As a military wife of a husband who has been deployed overseas, I will support military engagement only as a last resort, only when Constitutionally approved by Congress, and only when there is a clear strategy for victory, not endless occupations and expensive nation-building. Yes, John McCain is “directly responsible” for the rise of ISIS...
McCain made the charge against Obama in the heat of the moment in debates on the military budget where Congress' plan to take $460 million from US troop support and give it to Israel was condemned by the White House.
Old Kelli doesn't seem to be passive aggressive at all, Doug. And she seems to have a powerful message in her election bid against incumbent McCain.
I would imagine there are a lot of people that love to see the old fart retired to the farm. Maybe Bob should talk to him.
