COLLECTIVE MADNESS
“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."
Sheesh. Too much; I'm going to bed. :)

ReplyDeleteObama and the Muslim Gang Sign
By F. W. Burleigh
Is President Obama a Muslim? A lot has been written about this, but if photographs speak louder than words, then a photo taken at last August’s U.S.-African Leaders’ Summit in Washington D.C. might shed considerable light.
It shows Barack Hussein Obama flashing the one-finger affirmation of Islamic faith to dozens of African delegates.
Barack Hussein Obama flashes the Muslim shahada to delegates of the US-African Leaders Conference in Washington DC in August 2014.
The Associated Press took this astonishing photo as the African dignitaries joined Obama, who hosted the event, in a State Department auditorium for a group photograph. It was published in an article in Britain’s Daily Mail, and it was the only use ever of the photo.
The one-finger display is the distinctive Muslim gang sign: The index finger points straight up while the thumb wraps underneath and presses against the digital phalange of the middle finger. The remaining fingers are squeezed against the palm in order to highlight the extended forefinger. The extended finger is symbolic of the one-God concept of Muhammad and is understood by all believers to be a symbolic shahada, the Muslim affirmation of faith: There is but one God and Muhammad is his messenger.
Thus when believers stick their index finger in the air, they demonstrate they are partisans of Muhammad’s God concept. And they also affirm their belief in Muhammad’s claim he was the interface between God and man. They also demonstrate they are part of the umma, the exclusive transtribal supertribe of believers that Muhammad started 1,400 years ago.
With his forefinger in the air, Obama affirmed his membership in this tribe........

ReplyDeleteThe Word for this Administration: Islamisant
By Ken Blackwell and Bob Morrison
We Americans have been puzzling over our President’s curious inability to see twenty-one ISIS terrorists cutting off the heads of twenty-one Coptic Christians on a beach in Libya and call the horrible deed what it is -- an Islamist atrocity. Not, you will note, Islamic. By using the adjective Islamist, we are distinguishing this brutal and savage action from those billions who claim to be adherents of the Islamic religion.
President Obama’s administration studiously avoided calling the victims Christians. They were described merely as “Egyptian citizens,” as if he were a jaded clerk stamping their passports.
The Pope has weighed in, forthrightly saying it was obvious the poor Copts were murdered because they follow Jesus. The prime minister of Canada -- the stalwart Stephen Harper -- did not hesitate to call a spade a spade. He said this:
“I am outraged and saddened by the beheadings of Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Christians in Libya by groups linked to ISIL. Coming soon after the savage burning of Royal Jordanian Air Force pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh, the threat posed by ISIL could not be clearer.
This information comes to us even as this White House is meeting with Muslims who represent organizations previously identified as front groups or spinoffs of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood began in Egypt in 1928 under direction of community organizer Hassan al-Banna. The Muslim Brotherhood spans many Arab lands, including Egypt, Libya, Gaza, and Yemen. The Muslim Brotherhood emerged at the same time as the German Nazi party, but was not motivated by the same pagan ideology..........

ReplyDeleteWhat is it with the President and the MB?
By Richard Butrick
The president has a very strange allegiance structure when it comes to Islam -- strange in that he is not backing the one true counterjihadist leader in the Middle East: President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt.
El-Sisi actually took on the leading Islamic scholars at one of the oldest universities in the world, al-Azhar University, and told them that their thinking about Islam had to undergo a fundamental reformation.
Here is a quote from el-Sisi’s speech:
It’s inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma [Islamic world] to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible!
That thinking -- I am not saying “religion” but “thinking” -- that corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the years, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world.
One way or another the jihad to subjugate all religions and peoples to Islam had to be rejected -- textually and operationally. And he puts his money where his mouth is. President el-Sisi has just carried out air strikes in Libya in retaliation for the beheading of more than a dozen Egyptian Christians by ISIL inspired jihadists.
And what is the president of the United States doing? Is he backing el-Sisi? No. He is
(1) backing the sharia supremacist Muslim Brotherhood and their military arm Hamas who oppose el-Sisi and seek the demise of Israel
(2) excluding Egypt from his “coalition” of Arab Muslim states fighting against ISIS and
(3) withdrawing military support from Egypt’s armed forces.
From targeting Gaddafi, Mubarak and Assad and supporting Khamenei over the Green Revolution and turning a blind eye as the MB targets Kuwait, the MB seems to lead Obama by the nose. You tell me.
