COLLECTIVE MADNESS

“Soft despotism is a term coined by Alexis de Tocqueville describing the state into which a country overrun by "a network of small complicated rules" might degrade. Soft despotism is different from despotism (also called 'hard despotism') in the sense that it is not obvious to the people."

The U.N. estImates of 178,000 homes were damaged or destroyed by Israel in Gaza’s tiny and teeming enclave of 1.8 million people. The war wrecked hundreds of factories and businesses. Unemployment in Gaza now stands at almost 45%, according to Euro-Mid Observer for Human Rights, a Switzerland-based organization.

Gaza Strip 101: World’s Largest outdoor Prison

Middle East Eye | –
“The Gaza Strip, a coastal enclave wedged between Israel and Egypt, has been under blockade since 2007, shortly after elections brought the group Hamas to power.
After repeated bombings by Israel – including one last summer which left over 2000 people dead – Gaza is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.
However, in spite of the hardship, the Palestinians of Gaza have stayed resilient.”

  4. TEHRAN (FNA)- Iraq's president, prime minister and parliament speaker in a joint meeting in Baghdad decided to arm all forces in Nineveh and Al-Anbar provinces to prepare them for war against ISIL.

During the meeting in Baghdad on Sunday, Iraqi President Fouad Massoum, Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri underlined the need for helping the Iraqi army and popular forces in their fight against the ISIL.

On Sunday, Iraqi Air force conducted air strikes on positions of the ISIL terrorists in Anbar province, killing 46 of them.

An Iraqi air strike hit ISIL positions in al-Sufia area, East of Ramadi, killing 16 terrorists on Saturday.

30 ISIL terrorists were also killed in an Iraqi air strike in Albu Faraj, North of Ramadi, a security source said, adding that 5 ISIL vehicles were also destroyed.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.

  5. AIDING ISIS: Israel Bombs Syria For Fifth Time in 18 Months, Gives Arms, Medical Aid to Militants

    December 8, 2014

Contrary to popular belief, Israel is very much involved in the destabilization of Syria

Israeli warplanes hit two separate areas near Syria’s capital of Damascus yesterday, including a facility at the city’s international airport. This latest attack reveals a pattern of involvement which spells out Tel Aviv’s role in the destabilization of Syria, which includes providing intelligence, air support, arms, and medical assistance – to Islamic insurgents inside Syria.

  6. The Israeli military’s close cooperation with the militants also assisted the regime’s bombing of a convoy belonging to Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah on January 17. The attack led to the killing of six Hezbollah members as well as an Iranian general. Hezbollah later announced that the attack was coordinated between Tel Aviv and the al-Nusra militants.

“The assault has revealed the degree of cooperation between Takfiris and Israel,” Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah deputy leader, said during a ceremony seven days after the Israeli attack in Qunaitra, an area close to the Syrian Israeli border.

Late last year, a UN report confirmed contact between militants in Syria and the Israeli army across the Golan cease-fire line, especially during heavy clashes between the terrorists and the Syrian troops.

The report also confirmed that militants had been taking their wounded comrades into the Israeli-occupied part of the Golan Heights for treatment. The UN also confirmed the delivery of boxes by the Israeli army to militants on the Syrian side of the ceasefire line.

    2. On a further note, it was Robert "Draft Dodger" Peterson who said that I owned him.
That does not denote slavery, but ...

Owned (below: Variations) is a “leetspeak” slang word, derived from the traditional meaning of the verb “own”, as meaning to appropriate or conquer. The term strongly implies domination, severe defeat, and/or humiliation of a rival.
      ...
... it subsequently spread to gaming circles, where it was used to refer to defeat in a game. For example, if someone makes a particularly good kill shot or wins a fight in a multiplayer video game, they might yell out “owned” to the loser(s), as a manifestation of victory, a taunt, or provocation.

Robert "Draft Dodger" Peterson was just telling us how he'd been humiliated.
It may have been a Freudian slip, but that is for him to tell us.

It had nothing to do with slavery, that is an ISraeli 'thing'.

According to the study, the first-ever country-by-country survey of its kind, Israel has 7,700 to 8,500 slaves. Still, Israel ranked well relative to the lower standards in the Middle East, though Lebanon, Tunisia, and Egypt scored better than the Jewish state

Four of the strikes in Syria hit targets in Kobani, striking an Islamic State tactical unit, and destroying fighting positions and a heavy machine gun. The coalition forces also hit eight fighting positions with a strike near Al Hasakah, the military said in a statement on Monday.

In Iraq, eight air strikes near Fallujah destroyed Islamic State fighting positions, mortar tubes, an excavator and a vehicle, and hit seven tactical units. Seven strikes near Bayji destroyed fighting positions, vehicles, a warehouse and a mortar system, and hit six tactical units. Strikes targeted the Islamic State near Al Asad, Mosul, Ramadi and Tal Afar, as well.

The odd tactic of giving Baltimore protesters ‘space’ to destroy property
      by Daniel Rivero
      AFP/Getty Images
      April 27, 2015 7:01AM

Sometimes a protest is just a riot camouflaged in self-righteousness. It might not start that way, and the actors might not think that it is. But nonetheless, sometimes it is.

A few miles from my apartment, the Miami neighborhood Liberty City has yet to shake the aftereffects of the 1980 riots that sprang from the acquittal of four officers in the killing of a black man. In California, neighborhoods and property values remain scarred from the Watts Riots in 1965 and the Rodney King Riots in 1992. More recently in Ferguson, Mo., the long-term consequences of a few nights of looting and burning are starting to be felt by residents and property owners.

So it makes sense, in a way, that facing a weekend of protests against the mysterious police-related death of resident Freddie Gray, that Baltimore authorities would be on edge.

What no one expected is what Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake admitted in a press conference on Sunday: that she asked the Baltimore Police Department to “give those who wished to destroy space to do that.”

“We work very hard to keep that balance [between free speech and destructive elements], and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate,” she said.

    7. "O"rdure continues to rant about himself, as the subject he broaches has nothing to do with anyone else.
If he wanted to be relevant, why, he would start with ...

Citizen's Guide to U.S. Federal Law on International Parental Kidnapping
      18 U.S.C. § 1204– International parental kidnapping

But that is only part of the story ...
Although the parent who removed the child from the United States is generally eligible for formal extradition because they are charged with a federal crime, the child is a victim of international parental kidnapping and often not eligible for formal extradition. In other words, federal prosecutors may investigate and prosecute the parent, but they typically have no control over the return of the child or custodial decisions affecting that child.
      ...
... the return may be governed by the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Parental Child Abduction (1980). This Convention was established to facilities the return of children abducted into foreign countries. The Convention only applies if both countries involved in the international parental kidnapping situation are signatories to the Convention.

One then has to realize that if the parent that kidnapped the child does not inform the custodial parent of her location, it is difficult to find her or the child. Thus impossible to provide parental support.

Further, Panama was not signatory to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Parental Child Abduction (1980), until 1 May 1994. Even with the 'host' country being signatory, it does not guarantee the return of the minor.

In any event that would just be the beginning of the relevant story.

  19. Israeli military killed 44 Palestinians at U.N. shelters

On July 30, Israeli strikes tore through the walls of the Jebaliya Elementary girls' school, which was crowded with sleeping war refugees. About 3,000 Gazans had sought refuge there. A series of Israeli artillery shells hit before daybreak. A classroom became a scene of bloodied clothing, bedding and debris. The inquiry says 17 or 18 people were killed, including a U.N. staff member and two of his sons.

"No prior warning had been given by the government of Israel of the firing of 155 MM high explosive projectiles on, or in the surrounding area of the school," the inquiry reported.

A spokesman for the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees said in a statement,
"The inquiry found that despite numerous notifications to the Israeli army of the precise GPS coordinates of the schools and numerous notifications about the presence of displaced people, in all seven cases investigated by the board of inquiry when our schools were hit directly or in the immediate vicinity, the hit was attributable to the IDF."

    Spokesman Chris Gunness added,
"In none of the schools which were hit directly or in the immediate vicinity, were weapons discovered or fired from."

  21. Unlike previous conflicts between Hamas and Israel, there is no evidence Israel was able to locate Hamas’ sites early in the conflict and indications, as the conflict progressed, that Israel no longer even tried.

During earlier conflicts, whenever a rocket site, be it assembly, storage or launch was hit, the secondary explosions resembled “the 4th of July.” The first sign that Netanyahu had lost “his war” is the lack of secondary explosions. There was no “precision,” no plan, not according to any rules of war.
Netanyahu ordered a terror campaign and it was Netanyahu that held the people of Gaza hostage, not Hamas.

    Analysis

An analysis of after action reports of the war in Gaza have yielded startling results, startling to those who continued to assess Israel’s actions as defensive while evidence to the contrary was suppressed from day one. Israel was never able to successfully target rocket launch or storage facilities of Hamas and, in actuality, waged a terror campaign specifically targeting women and children, UN facilities and infrastructure as their chosen method of waging war.

    1. The UN inquiry found that “Israeli actions” killed 44 Arabs and injured 227 more who were inside UN premises. Israel investigated that incident.

But what was more important was that the report finally confirmed Israel’s claims that UN facilities were repeatedly being used by Hamas and other terrorists to store weapons and attack Israel.

In one school, 20 rockets were discovered.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon writes in his cover letter of his dismay in discovering that 3 UN schools were used to store weapons, and more seriously, two of the UN schools were used to launch attacks at Israel and Israeli troops.

An UNRWA health center and attached distribution center in Jabaliya were exploited by Hamas terrorists for use as a rocket firing site from which to launch attacks against Israeli civilians. Satellite imagery documented the evidence.

      Ban Ki Moon writes,

“On the discovery by the United Nations of weaponry on United Nations premises, I am dismayed that Palestinian militant groups would put United Nations schools at risk by using them to hide their arms. The three schools at which weaponry was found were empty at the time and were not being used as shelters. However, the fact that they were used by those involved in the fighting to store their weaponry and, in two cases, probably to fire from is unacceptable.”

      The whole story Jack..

No more of your cutting and pasting....

Hamas hid and used UN schools and building to attack Israel, used human shield.

The responsibility for those deaths is HAMAS. PERIOD

      Zionism = Islamofascism
The Zionists are masters of the False Flag, but even that has gotten old.
It has been 74 years since the Zionist murdered Jewish refugees from Europe in a False Flag operation.

On Nov. 25, 1940, a boat carrying Jewish refugees from Nazi Europe, the “Patra,” exploded and sank off the coast of Palestine killing 252 people.

The Zionist “Haganah” claimed the passengers committed suicide to protest British refusal to let them land.
Years later, it admitted that rather than let the passengers go to Mauritius, it blew up the vessel for its propaganda value.

“Sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice the few in order to save the many,”

Moshe Sharett, a former Israeli Prime Minister said at memorial service in 1958.

  22. The UN report indicates four instances of Hamas using abandoned UN facilities ...

A report released by the IDF Aug. 19 included an aerial view of Al Wafa Hospital with two alleged rocket launching sites marked at locations that appeared to be much farther from the hospital than the 100 metres claimed by the IDF spokesman.

The IDF nevertheless went so far as to declare on Jul. 21, “Hamas fires rockets from Wafa hospital in the Gaza neighborhood of Shujaiya.”

When the IDF destroyed Al Wafa hospital completely by airstrikes on Jul. 23, it abandoned the pretense that the reason was a Hamas rocket launch site. Instead it released a video purporting to show firing at IDF troops from the hospital.

It turned out, however, the video clips of the firing been shot during “Operation Cast Lead” in 2009, not in 2014.

The IDF has continued to suggest that its destruction of public civilian facilities was forced on it by rocket launches from within those facilities. At the end of the “Operation Protective Edge” the IDF spokesman’s office claimed that 597 rockets had been launched from civilian facilities, of which 160 were allegedly fired from schools, 50 from hospitals, and 160 from mosques.

But those figures were by produced only by pretending that launching sites some distance from the facilities in question were on the premises of the facilities.

  24. Barak: Netanyahu leading Israel to disaster

More than once I said to Netanyahu and Lieberman, ‘Some of the subconscious reasons for the tremendous resistance to our intention to take action in Iran lie in a frustrating awareness that an operation in Iran really frightens people, and not without reason. After all, it’s no simple matter. It could certainly cause at least a war with Iran and with Hezbollah.’

“And when people have to cope with their anxiety about a decision on an operation that is being broached by a leadership that isn’t capable of mustering the mental fortitude to deal with the Palestinian issue – which is the most painful issue, but also the simplest in terms of its structure and clarity – they ask themselves whether that leadership is truly capable of dealing with the big issue.”
    ...
“We have been ruling another nation for 47 years. We are ignoring the fact that the situation has changed in the international arena. The leaders and the people themselves don’t remember the circumstances and the struggle under which the State of Israel emerged. There are no leaders or publics in the world who remember the Holocaust as a personal experience. What they’ve seen for decades is the reversal of the image that accompanied Israel. It’s not David and his slingshot being threatened by Goliath.

“What registers in the consciousness is the Palestinian youth who is symbolically using David’s weapon against Israelis who are armed to the teeth inside tanks, and with missiles and so forth. That image is becoming embedded in the public consciousness abroad. In the 21st century, there is no chance of maintaining over time a situation that will be accepted by the international community in which Israel continues to rule those millions of people and does not allow them to vote for the Knesset.”
    ...

“Gradual processes of Israel’s delegitimization are occurring below the surface.

The BDS movement is developing. Its name is derived from the movement that finally brought about the collapse of South Africa, which was economically and militarily stronger than the whole of sub-Saharan Africa together, but could not keep standing because it could not withstand international isolation.
As long as those voices against Israel came from Eritrea or Mauritania, fine; when they start to come from Scandinavia and Britain, it’s a serious problem. Look at Israel’s standing in the community of labor organizations worldwide – it’s a very grim situation. That will continue with consumer organizations, pension funds, the universities.”
    ...

    1. The default goes like this: We will do nothing and we will wrap ourselves in our self-justification and we will find ourselves on the slippery slope of one state.

“The second possibility is that we will encounter – before one state for two nations becomes the reality – a reaction from the group of states that is our reference point, such as will make it clear to the Israeli on the street and to his government that this is a hopeless path, that the damage to Israel is not worth the wish to hold on [to everything]. Because the right wing is no longer offering ideological or divine reasons for the wish to hold on to the entire territory. It’s not the divine promise and the covenant, it’s a practical rationale: ‘Our security needs make it obligatory. We have just seen ISIS, we cannot allow ISIS in the territories.’

“The worst possibility is that because this state of affairs is unacceptable not only to the international community but also to these millions [of Palestinians], it could, in certain circumstances of resonance with developments in the Middle East, bring about a recurrent wave of violence, but more intense and more problematic. And it could be a combination of these two things together.

“In all the years in which I was in the government with Netanyahu, when the question was asked, ‘What’s the damage?’ – Bibi asked in response: ‘What’s so bad in the meantime? There’s no boycott, there’s no violence, in the meantime we’re succeeding in holding up the ceiling, in holding up the walls, nothing is collapsing, we’re continuing to sail on, the prophecies aren’t coming true and we are terrific.’ But these things are happening."

“It’s not clear that the lengthening [of the operation] humiliates them or vanquishes them – possibly it also strengthens them. It’s not clear that the serious destruction [in Gaza] creates a rift between them and the population, because maybe the population doesn’t feel that it has an alternative or a choice. But it could be that in an indirect circle, via the reaction of the international community to the destruction, that it actually works in their favor. And people still remember that during Protective Edge, Bibi said, for example, ‘When we will do it we will bring Hamas down.’ That creates dissonance. I think the magic has worn off.”
