  1. Man, that was bad. I had the shimmyshimmyshakes, but now I got a new wireless emachine, $299.00. Couldn't figure out what happened to the other, but when we picked up the tower, there was H2O underneath; the window had been lefted open and it had rained. That might have had something to do with it.

  4. Aenea's choice:
OBAMA EXPLAINS GROWING SMALL TOWN AMERICA RESENTMENTS: '

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Yeah, like BLACK People in the SMALL TOWN of Los Angeles don't particularly like the ethnic cleansing being applied to them by "immigrants," with the full protection of the "pro-immigrant" one time Gang Banger, and presently gang-friendly administration.

Obama has such keen insight into, and love of this country.
    Not.

  6. Good job, Bobal. This box was $300 after the $50 rebate, which I actually received. Runs Vista though. I promptly partitioned it and put Linux on under a dual-boot setup and I hardly ever boot Microsuckware. The one in the other room was a $179 Chinese piece of shiite that never ran Windows. Had to replace everything in it except the motherboard.

    dual-boot setup
    boot Microsuckware.
    Windows.
    the motherboard.

These are all terms I've heard, but for the life of me, I couldn't tell you the difference between Vista and Linux, windows and doors, mother and father boards, suckerware and setups, boot and dual-boot.:)

    And I mean it too!

  9. Yeah, I knew a couple out here that watched the gateway guys grow up, where was it Nebraska?
Worked their way up to quite a successful business, not sure when they sold.
They used to do almost everything in house, including the advertising, coming up w/the great cow idea.

  10. How far are you from Nampa?
That was the highest end computer I ever bought:
A Micron, back when they were the hottest thing going.
Still using the moniter, after several younger cheap ones have died.
    Still making memory, I guess.

  11. That thing must be pretty fast with a gig of Ram for XP.
A motherboard is one that was in the factory long enough to spawn some babyboards.

  12. Nampa is down by Boise, kinda all one now. If you have wings it's maybe 300 miles. If you drive, you got to go down This HIll, which used to be an experience back in the day, before the new road. The is where the Nez Perce did well against General Howard. Those are the Seven Devils back there in the background. The Snake River flows along over there, and the Salmon flows into it. Then along the Salmon River for a ways, through Riggins, famous for the rodeo, or used to be, now rafting headquarters, end of the line through the wilderness area, then you climb up the Little Salmon River Canyon, to New Meadows, then you can take a left to McCall, or a right through Cambridge, to get to Boise. US 95 or 93, take your pick. Pretty drive, all the way.

  13. General O. O. Howard He wasn't actually at White Bird I don't think, but was the big guy out here.

  14. This Hill Looking at it again, I don't think those are the Seven Devils, they ought to be a little more over to the right. That's White Bird Creek at the bottom of that canyon.

  15. Bobal:Pretty drive, all the way.

Did that pretty drive backwards, Boise to Lewiston. I didn't know all that was back there.
