The Counterintelligence Probe’s Phantom Origin
The guilty note that Susan Rice wrote to herself after Trump’s inauguration takes on more and more meaning as the shocking details of Obamagate come into focus. The Obama administration’s decision to spy on the Trump campaign was not, in her words, “by the book” but scandalously irregular. It turns out, according to Congressman Devin Nunes, that not even a semblance of “official intelligence” justified the spying. It was the probe from nowhere to nowhere, undertaken simply to satisfy the partisan hunches of John Brennan and other Trump haters in the Obama administration.
“The counterintelligence investigation uses the tools of our intelligence services that are not supposed to be used on American citizens. So, we’ve long wanted to know, well, what intelligence did you have that actually led to this investigation? So, what we found now after the investigators have reviewed it is that in fact, there was no intelligence,” Nunes told Fox News last weekend.
The probe didn’t start “by the book.” It started largely on the say-so of John Brennan, whose CIA operated like a branch office of the Hillary campaign. We know from Brennan’s own testimony and leaks that he had been lobbying the FBI to start the probe since at least the spring of 2016. But whatever alleged intelligence Brennan gave to the FBI, it was too flaky for the FBI to commit to print.
The probe was the product of a shell game played by a cast of Trump haters — from Brennan to Peter Strzok (the FBI’s liaison to the CIA, which is a key fact in all of this) to Hillary hired gun Christopher Steele. Brennan, since at least April of 2016, had been shaking foreign intelligence agencies down for any dirt on Trumpworld. He claimed that he had come up with some from Estonia, England, and other trusted “counterparts” and shoveled it to Strzok, who then dumped it on the desk of other Hillary partisans in the FBI/Justice Department’s senior leadership. Strzok would later confess to his mistress, in between calling Trump a “douche,” that the probe was just a fishing expedition with no “big there there.”
Brennan’s bumptiousness was so great in pushing and publicizing this bogus probe that even Harry Reid would remark upon it to David Corn and Michael Isikoff. Brennan had an “ulterior motive” in leaking the existence of the probe to him, Reid told the authors. The very thought of Donald Trump as president made Brennan see red and caused him to lose all judgment.
Out of embarrassment at having started a counterintelligence probe on the hunch of such an unhinged Hillary partisan, the FBI has scrambled to find a better reason for launching it and thought it had found one in the George Papadopoulos yarn. But that one just gets weirder and weirder. According to the Daily Caller, Alexander Downer, the Aussie diplomat who partied with Papadopoulos and claims the Trump volunteer made an incriminating remark, had sought out the meeting, making it look like entrapment. Downer is known for greasing the wheels of the Clinton Foundation and belongs to the jet set of international busybodies up in arms over Trump. But whatever he squeezed out of Papadopoulos, it wasn’t specific or weighty enough to include in the originating document for the probe, according to Nunes.
The Papadopoulos leak was the FBI’s attempt to divert attention from its absurd reliance on Brennan and Christopher Steele. The FBI doesn’t want to have to admit that it harassed a presidential campaign on the basis of opposition research Hillary Clinton financed, at the prodding of a CIA director in the tank for her. To make matters worse, Brennan’s alleged intelligence from the British on Trump-Russia collusion was just laundered Steele opposition research for Hillary (Steele had been feeding his work to British spies, who contacted Brennan). At the center of almost all the streams of phony intelligence flowing into the FBI was Steele. Through his relationship with the FBI, he served as a direct stream of bad intelligence. Through foreign intelligence agencies, he became an indirect stream of bad intelligence (with anything he gave those agencies re-routed to the FBI through Brennan). He also served as a conduit for opposition research from Hillary partisans at or connected to the State Department (Cody Shearer, a Hillary hatchet man, passed his opposition research through John Kerry aide Jonathan Winer to Steele, who then fed it back to the FBI).
It is no wonder why the originating document for the probe is so cryptic. It was a probe of, by, and for Hillary partisans, who, out of a toxic combination of Trump hatred and blinding liberal entitlement, had long ago thrown away the book.

A PROSECUTION FOR MCCABE?
DeleteThe notorious liar and Democrat fixer may soon get his comeuppance.
April 25, 2018 Matthew Vadum
Fired FBI deputy director and discredited Democrat hack Andrew McCabe may soon be prosecuted for authorizing the leaking of sensitive information to the media and then lying over and over again to investigators about it, according to reports.
The news comes after House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told Fox News on Sunday that “there was no official intelligence that was used to start this investigation” of Trump’s aides. If Nunes is right, this means an official investigation was launched against a presidential campaign even though there was no official information supporting it. This is a naked abuse of power, the stuff of banana republics, something Trump defenders have been saying for some time.
McCabe’s is a tale of a slippery political operator manipulating the media for partisan purposes and then using the media to try to cover up his wrongdoing after the wrong candidate – Donald Trump – ended up winning the election. It is also about the shameless efforts of Democrats and their Deep State allies to rig the election, and when that failed, to sabotage and bring down the presidency of the candidate who despite their best efforts defeated Hillary Clinton....

Devin Nunes Is a Badass

Devin Nunes, the eight-term Republican congressman from California, is taking on the world’s most powerful law enforcement and intelligence apparatus to uncover exactly what happened before and after the 2016 presidential election. Although Nunes is undoubtedly earning some formidable enemies, he seems undaunted—perhaps even emboldened—by the anti-Trump mob on the Left and the Right trying to discredit his investigation and destroy his reputation.
Nunes, 44, goes about his business in a way that only a politician who doesn’t owe his career to billionaire benefactors or a privileged pedigree can: He is fearless, well-informed, and slightly snarky. The descendant of Portuguese immigrants, Nunes has a background in agriculture (a profession that has been mocked by some of our well-fed betters) and got his start in local politics. Since he was first elected to represent his San Joaquin Valley district in 2002, he’s never won less than 60 percent of the vote. (Jim Geraghty has a solid profile of the congressman.)
As chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Nunes has been relentless in exposing how top officials in the Obama Administration corrupted our most trusted federal agencies in order to spy on Trump’s presidential campaign....

Revealed: Comey hired notorious Patrick Fitzgerald for his legal team after Trump fired him
By Thomas Lifson
Birds of a feather are flocking together, as we learned last night, when Patrick Fitzgerald joined the legal team representing James Comey shortly after Comey was fired by President Trump in May 2017. Fitzgerald was the former U.S. attorney in Chicago who was the special prosecutor who railroaded Scooter Libby into an unjust conviction on perjury while allowing the actual leaker of information he was supposed to be going after to remain uncharged. Fitzgerald wanted to pressure Libby to provide information on his then-boss, Vice President Cheney, apparently to force Cheney out of office.
That sort of bare-knuckle overtly politicized operation at senior levels in federal law enforcement must be part of the reason why the two mean are such old friends that Fitzgerald reportedly is godfather to one of Comey's children.
Two Capitol Hill sources confirmed to Talking Points Memo that Comey had retained Fitzgerald, though it was not immediately clear in what capacity he made the hire.
"He's been representing me since I was fired," Comey told the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday evening at a reception in Washington, D.C., for his new memoir.
Comey said Fitzgerald is part of a three-member legal team that includes David Kelley, a former deputy U.S. attorney under Comey in New York, and former federal prosecutor Dan Richman, a Columbia Law School professor.
According to the Chicago Tribune, "Fitzgerald is now a partner in Chicago of the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom," the big law firm that reportedly just separated itself from another political henchman, former impeachment lawyer for President Clinton and White House counsel for President Obama Greg Craig. The Daily Caller News Foundation reports:
Greg Craig, the White House counsel for President Barack Obama, abruptly left his law firm as it has come under scrutiny from the special counsel's investigation.
A spokeswoman for Skadden Arps confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation that Craig is no longer with the firm. She did not address whether his departure is related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
The website Above the Law first reported on Tuesday that Craig's biography had been removed from Skadden Arps' website.
Skadden Arps has come under scrutiny because of its work with Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, on behalf of the Ukrainian government in 2012. A team led by Craig helped produce a report that sought to justify the imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko, a political rival of Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian president at the time and an ally of Vladimir Putin's.
If this seems confusing, that means that you are paying attention. Keep in mind that Manafort worked with super-lobbyist and Democrat fixture Tony Podesta, brother of John Podesta, on the Ukraine gig.
The collective sleaze factor among this group of political insider manipulators is overwhelming. Sorting it all out is going to take a lot of time, and a grand jury probably would be helpful.

Judicial Watch Finds New Classified Emails, Others Confirm Collusion Between State Department and Clinton Foundation
Government watchdog Judicial Watch has found a series of new emails belonging to former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that contain classified information. They were stored on her unsecured server. Further, they show collusion between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department.
Out of 281 pages of new emails, ten contain classified information and "appear to be among those that Clinton had attempted to delete or had otherwise failed to disclose."
Here's the list of classified information they found:
-A document labeled “plan” was completely redacted as classified.
-A November 2012 email chain discusses the “Mid East” and includes then-Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan, Blair as “aclb” and Clinton.
-Another November 2012 email chain discusses the “Mid East” and includes Sullivan, Clinton's office manager Claire Coleman, Blair and Clinton.
-A November 2012 email chain fully redacted is titled “Mid East Peace” and includes Blair, Clinton, Obama’s -Special Envoy to the Middle East David Hale as “haledm2@state.gov,” Sullivan and Blair's Chief of Staff and former Downing Street aide Catherine Rimmer.
-In an April 2011 email exchange between Blair, Clinton and Sullivan concerning “Israel,” Blair says he “had another long session with BB [Netanyahu].”
-A May 2011 exchange concerns “Israel” and includes Blair, Clinton and Sullivan.
-A May 2011 email concerns “Palestinians” and includes Blair, Clinton and Sullivan. Blair says, “I’ve also sent you a paper.”
-A June 2011 email regarding “Israel” includes Blair, Sullivan and Clinton. Blair says, “Saw Israeli PM. Put the concept of a Q statement. He was receptive. Palestinians interested too. I know there are discussions also you guys are having. And the French initiative….”
-In a July 2011 email – with several national security redactions – written by Blair to Clinton and Sullivan, Blair says, “I saw BB….. Molcho [chief negotiator in the Israeli negotiating team with the Palestinians] will speak to -David Hale. I can see Cameron and Sarkozy with David…. I saw Egyptians….”
-A September 2010 email exchange is titled “Info for you,” and includes Sullivan, Blair and Clinton. Blair writes that he just spent three hours with Netanyahu, and Sullivan, using his Sprint BlackBerry, he writes “We have pitched this to [redacted].”
And on the Clinton Foundation:
DeleteSeveral of the emails demonstrate the commingling of Clinton State Department and Clinton family foundation business:
-In a November 2010 email with subject line, “How do I get through to Bill Clinton,” Rafael Anchia, a lawyer with Haynes Boone, asks Clinton campaign official Ed Meier if he could get to the “gatekeepers” to get Bill Clinton to give a speech in Spain, noting that “a large bank is willing to pay for it.”
-Meier forwarded the email to former State Department Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan who forwarded it to former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin. Abedin sent it to Bill Clinton’s scheduler at the Clinton Foundation, Terry Krinvic, who provided Clinton’s contact information, to which Sullivan responded, “Awesome.”
-In September 2011, Abedin sent Sullivan an email concerning the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) with “Potential questions for Closing Plenary conversation between Secretary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton” in which Abedin included some “proposed questions” to put to Hillary and Chelsea Clinton. Four days later, Sullivan forwards a revised list of questions (completely redacted as interagency deliberative process) to Abedin and Clinton’s Chief of Staff, Cheryl Mills, saying, “Here are my proposed questions.”
“It is shameful that Hillary Clinton attempted to delete or hide classified information and that Obama appointees James Comey and Lorretta Lynch refused to prosecute her,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said about the finding. “It is clear that the Clintons were using the State Department to run an extensive influence peddling scheme. Americans should be concerned that while untold resources are devoted to the abusive Mueller special counsel investigation of President Trump, this Justice Department seems uninterested in prosecuting the Clintons.”
You can read more about the findings here.

Also Fox News has confirmed that Hillary was taking money donated to and meant for the state Democrat parties around the country and using it for her own purposes.

Cosby smirks as prosecutors argue he's a serial predator
NORRISTOWN, Pa.–As rapt jurors listened to the judge overseeing Bill Cosby’s sex assault retrial read back prior testimony, the entertainer’s lead lawyer snoozed in his chair.
Tom Mesereau, mouth agape, drifted in and out of consciousness Wednesday as Judge Steven O’Neill read pages and pages of Cosby’s own words about Quaaludes and his sexual contact with accuser Andrea Constand into the record.
Cosby, now 80, sat for the civil deposition over 2004 and 2005, in connection with a lawsuit Constand filed against him that would later settle for $3.4 million.
Mesereau slept at the defense table for some 30 minutes, and awoke as the testimony from the deposition was still being read. His nap was not commented on by the judge or anyone in the courtroom.
Jurors eventually called it quits for the night with no verdict, wrapping up their first day of deliberations into whether or not the comedian drugged and molested Constand on a couch in his Cheltenham, Pa. home in Jan. 2004.
During the often-explicit testimony, Cosby occasionally smiled. He spent much of the two-hour reading rubbing his eyes and face.
The panel of seven men and five women were sent home following more than ten hours of deliberation, from 11:08 a.m. to just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, jurors asked for a legal definition of “consent,” and to see differing statements from key defense witness Margo Jackson, who says Constand’s claims are false.
Both requests were denied, as there is no legal definition of the term “consent” in Pennsylvania, and the statements were not admitted as evidence.
The jurors, who have been sequestered since April 9, are expected to hear the entirety of Jackson’s testimony read back to them first thing Thursday.
Cosby’s first trial ended when another panel of jurors were unable to return a verdict.
The TV pioneer maintains that everything that occurred between him and the former Temple University staffer was consensual.
He faces three charges of aggravated indecent assault for the alleged sex attack. If convicted, Cosby could be sentenced to up to ten years behind bars on each count.

HILLARY’S MONEY LAUNDERING SCHEME
ReplyDeleteWhy is the media ignoring the DNC’s new $84 million campaign finance scandal?
April 26, 2018 Matthew Vadum
While it obsesses over an aging porn star, Russians, discredited ex-FBI officials, and pimple-faced gun-grabbers, the mainstream media has been ignoring an explosive federal lawsuit unearthing a huge illegal money-laundering conspiracy said to have been masterminded last election cycle by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign.
It is yet another facet of the plot by which Clinton, possibly in league with then-President Obama, broke the law in an attempt to rig the election. Throughout his agonizingly long presidency, Obama serially abused his powers as the nation's Chief Executive to undermine his political opponents.
Against this backdrop, the DNC and Hillary’s campaign “allegedly used state chapters as strawmen to launder as much as $84 million in an effort to circumvent campaign donation limits, and the Federal Election Commission ignored complaints exposing the practice,” according to a Fox News report that has been gathering dust since April 16.
The civil proceeding, filed against the FEC earlier this month in the nation’s capital, spells out a vast left-wing criminal conspiracy while providing detailed evidence from FEC filings to support the claim that Democrats orchestrated the scheme to do an end-run around federal campaign limits.
The Stop Hillary PAC, also now known as the Committee to Defend the President (CDP), filed a complaint in December with the FEC stating that the Hillary Victory Fund (HVF) sought funds from high-profile donors and then “sent that money through state chapters and back to the DNC before ending up with the Clinton campaign.”
The complaint went nowhere and the political action committee got tired of waiting.
“The Clinton machine has escaped accountability for its illegal practices for far too long,” said CDP chairman Ted Harvey. “After months of review, the FEC has refused to address the Clintons’ $84 million money laundering scheme that violated several campaign finance laws.”
The federal lawsuit names the FEC as a defendant, claiming its failure to act was “arbitrary, capricious, contrary to law, and an abuse of discretion.”
Harvey’s group is asking the court to use its authority under the Federal Election Campaign Act “to step in and demand action from the FEC,” Harvey said. “The American people demand that our most corrupt political figures answer for their transgressions.”
The Fox report states:.....
