The Haters represented by the WAPO (read Bezos), NYT, USA Today, Yahoo News, etc. have a long list they are working. As soon as the shine falls of an item, they check the box and go to the next one. It is truly a psychosis.
The Trump family, not unlike the Clinton family, sure has taken meetings with some questionable characters over the years, including in 2016. As the Washington press corps debates whether the latest meeting reports amount to a threat to the republic, perhaps Beltway journalists should also spare a thought for another Washington story, and consider whether it could pose at least a small threat to their ability to practice journalism.
The magazine Washingtonian recently reported:
A new social-media policy at the Washington Post prohibits conduct on social media that “adversely affects The Post’s customers, advertisers, subscribers, vendors, suppliers or partners.” In such cases, Post management reserves the right to take disciplinary action “up to and including termination of employment.”
To say the least, it would not be easy to do journalism if reporters were barred from doing anything that adversely affects anyone with whom a news organization does business. And social media comprises increasingly important journalistic platforms, especially for the Post, which has been smartly increasing its online presence since its 2013 acquisition by Amazon.com founder and CEO Jeff Bezos.
Mr. Bezos has introduced many innovations since taking over the principal newspaper of the nation’s capital, but he should rethink this one. His paper’s new social-media policy specifically lists the following among the types of communications which are now prohibited:
Disparaging the products and services of The Post’s advertisers, subscribers, competitors, business partners or vendors.
So the Post is encouraging at least minimally respectful treatment of some companies, but businesses that neither cooperate nor compete with the Post are fair game? This type of double standard is incompatible with the healthy practice of journalism.
The Post says that this new policy, which took effect on May 1 of this year, is the first formal social-media policy directed at the whole company and is meant to build on a newsroom policy from 2011. But back then, the pre-Bezos newsroom editors were not telling anyone to lay off business partners.
Your humble correspondent has never known the Post to pull punches when it comes to advertisers. This column is guessing that Mr. Bezos has been vigorously imposing various best practices from the technology industry on his newspaper property and that this particular policy is corporate boiler plate accidentally imported from some non-journalistic digital outfit. Mr. Bezos should do what journalists do when they make a mistake. Retract it.
What about the secret meeting held at Podestra's house between Hillary's staff and journalists. A blog as an email showing there was a secret "off the record' dinner.

Democrats intentionally used disinformation from Russia to attack Trump, campaign aides
While the liberal news media hunts for evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, the public record shows that Democrats have willfully used Moscow disinformation to influence the presidential election against Donald Trump and attack his administration.
The disinformation came in the form of a Russian-fed dossier written by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. It contains a series of unverified criminal charges against Mr. Trump’s campaign aides, such as coordinating Moscow’s hacking of Democratic Party computers.
Some Democrats have widely circulated the discredited information. Mr. Steele was paid by the Democrat-funded opposition research firm Fusion GPS with money from a Hillary Clinton backer. Fusion GPS distributed the dossier among Democrats and journalists. The information fell into the hands of the FBI, which used it in part to investigate Mr. Trump’s campaign aides.
Mr. Steele makes clear that his unproven charges came almost exclusively from sources linked to the Kremlin and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He identified his sources as “a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure,” a former “top level Russian intelligence officer active inside the Kremlin,” a “senior Kremlin official” and a “senior Russian government official.”
The same Democrats who have condemned Russia’s election interference via plying fake news and hacking email servers have quoted freely from the Steele anti-Trump memos derived from creatures of the Kremlin.
Fusion GPS widely circulated the dossier during the presidential race.
The public got its first glance when the news site BuzzFeed posted it online in January, with its editor saying he doubted it was true. One person who says he knows it is a fabrication is Russian entrepreneur Aleksej Gubarev.
The dossier quotes Russian sources as saying Mr. Gubarev’s technology company, XBT, used botnets to flood Democratic computers with porn and spying devices.
Mr. Gubarev is suing Mr. Steele for libel in London and is suing BuzzFeed in Florida.
It is in the London case that Mr. Steele acknowledged that his memo on Mr. Gubarev was unverified.
The US media could not stand the fact that Trump had another successful foreign trip and they roll out the old Russian chestnut again.

Seems to me there was election collusion between the media and the DNC. It was the media that tried to interfere with and manipulate the elections.
