NSA Wiretap Net Much Larger Than Previously Reported
According to Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch, who made public disclosures last week, NSA is routinely collecting millions of warrant-less telephone conversations and emails of American citizens.

Klayman, who previously founded Judicial Watch, stated that his client, whistleblower Dennis Montgomery, who was an NSA/CIA contractor, has already turned over to the FBI 600 million pages of illegal intercepts of such people as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, other SCOTUS justices, over 156 judges, pre-president Donald Trump and prominent people. Unlike Edward Snowden, Montgomery was given immunity from prosecution after he took the files for the purpose of handing them over to the FBI so they could investigate the files' contents.

This writer previously posted that Barack Obama's administration was continuing in the data mining of American citizens to a larger degree than any previous administration.

Klayman stated on the Alan Colmes show that he would not doubt that Barack Obama and David Axelrod are directly tied to the newest round of domestic spying, especially on members of the new Trump administration.

This would mean that the Michael Flynn affair, as suspected by many, is only a singular incident in a much more pervasive scheme, namely members of the Intelligence community being complicit and actively involved in both illegal spying and a directed attempt to subvert the present administration. If what Klayman says is true, then Flynn was not caught in a conversation with the Russians, but he was the target of the intercept when he was speaking with the Russians.

This latest accusation lends credence to the supposition that Barack Obama grossly expanded the dissemination of raw captured NSA data to many more members of the Intelligence Community in the very last days of his term so that information was available to those loyal to him within the dark government, in order to hamper and bring down members of the Trump administration, if not the administration itself.

It would appear that any investigation that would break this case open is now in the hands of the Department of Justice under Attorney General Jeff Sessions. An investigation would be the responsibility of FBI Director James Comey, who in spite of recent criticism, in the past showed himself to be opposed to illegal warrant-less intercepts.

Klayman states that the FBI has been sitting on this information for one and a half years, which begs asking if an investigation was being hampered by Obama. Klayman had previously brought a suit regarding the collection of meta-data in front of Judge Richard Leon, United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Leon has already ruled that the un-warranted spying is in violation of the Fourth Amendment. Klayman has now gone back to Leon, asking for an emergency injunction, stating that Leon's order regarding the collection of meta-data has been violated.

If the accusations are well founded, and the claimed evidence does exist, and the participants are indicted, this could lead to the largest political scandal in the history of the United States - possibly exceeding Watergate, which was relatively limited in comparison.

The eavesdropping would severely hamper the ability of the United States to work with foreign nations. American officials would be severely handicapped, not only because foreign entities would fear that their emails and telephone calls are being intercepted, which is usual among nations these days, but agents of the United States government would be unable to communicate privately with each other in discussing matters of national security without the fear that the discussions would be made public.

The potential for blackmailing of public servants based on discovered information has always existed, this though would bring it to a completely new level.
I see no reason that the tentacles of this program and these illegal activities should not be investigated to its fullest. The activities being suggested by Klayman rise to the level of treason.

There are organized and well funded black hooded Palestinian styled agent provocateurs roaming the streets, a former president who, in an unprecedented move, has remained in Washington and declared to stay active in Washington politics, and has organized potentially millions of activists in all fifty states - answerable ultimately to him. We have news media fervently and unceasingly trying to disable the new administration, and a disloyal opposition party, to whom Party power is more important than allegiance to country.

If the allegations are true, then there is effectively a coup d'état already underway by elements of the Intelligence Community trying to take down the Executive Branch. The question now facing us is if our elected officials have the courage to withstand possible revelations that might merely serve to prove their humanity.
Our elected leaders must do their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution against dangers both from without and from within, regardless of the potential risk it may present to them. The risk of those men of the Second Continental Congress who stood against the Crown was much greater than what our elected officials might face today. It is up to those we sent to Washington, to do what was done in July of 1776, that is, to mutually pledge to each other - their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. They can do no less.

Obama administration TAPPED TRUMP’S PHONE in Trump Tower in run-up to election

      OBAMA

Mimicking the subterfuge and political skulduggery of a third-world dictatorial plot to overthrow the free and fair elections, Obama, America’s first foreign-raised president, has set up base of operations a stone’s throw from the White House. Obama’s closest adviser, Iranian operative Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, has moved into his DC home, the new nerve center for their coup plot to force Trump from White House. The enemedia, colluding with the tin-pot ex-president, is providing cover for the stealth insurgency. They report nothing. The impression is Obama is laying low. He’s not. Obama’s sabotage of the Trump transition was not a last act, but an opening salvo. If anyone thinks we got rid of Obama and his treasonous party, they are sadly mistaken. They are just getting started.

This is war. Trump must get off defense and fight fire with fire. ALL Obama appointees and holdovers must be fired NOW. He must use his presidential power and the Republican majorities in the House and Senate to prosecute these crimes to the full extent of the law. The leakers must be prosecuted. Start with Hillary Clinton and prosecute them all....

  4. The leak of the memo about leaks.

Spicer expressed his frustration with the media finding out about private meetings, and made clear he didn’t want the phone checks to be leaked to the press.

Also last week, the State Department circulated a four-page memo about the dangers of leaks, which soon was leaked to the Washington Post.

The crackdown on leaks is a reaction to President Trump’s growing frustration with information about his administration freely flowing to the press.

This entire escapade was built around an echo chamber of media construction. Democrats, political hacks and their political supplicants in the intelligence agencies, and undoubtedly political appointments and fellow travelers in the courts, FBI and NSA all were involved with a wink from Obama.

Senate Dems post her impassioned plea on Facebook page as 'words of inspiration'

The Obama administration’s former Attorney General Loretta Lynch has made an impassioned video plea for more marching, blood and death on the streets – a video that was later posted on the Facebook page of Senate Democrats as “words of inspiration.”

The video is less than a minute long and begins by stating that people are experiencing “great fear and uncertainty,” with the unstated implication it is due to Donald Trump’s takeover of the White House.

Without offering any specifics, Lynch goes on to say that “our rights” are “being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back.”

Remember when Ted Kennedy asked the Russians to 'interfere'?
    By Daniel John Sobieski

Liberals like Sen. Franken seeking to blame Hillary Clinton's election loss on alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election never answer just why Vladimir Putin would want Clinton, the successor to Barack Obama, to lose. One would've thought the Russians would want her to win, hoping she, as president, would give them even more access to U.S. uranium supplies.

Still, liberals insist that people like former national security adviser Mike Flynn and current attorney general Jeff Sessions conspired with Russian officials to influence November's results. In either case, it was not illegal for them to meet with the Russian ambassador and perfectly sensible for them to do so. Just ask Missouri's Sen. Claire McCaskill, who "lied" about her meetings with Russians as well.

The fact is that, with the possible exception of Flynn and Sessions putting Russian dressing on their salads, their contacts with Russia has been overhyped. Just how did they conspire with Russia? Did Sessions or Flynn cancel Hillary's trip to Wisconsin? Did they give the Russians John Podesta's password, which was "password"? Did Sessions or Flynn help them hack into the DNC computers? The whole, shall we say it, witch hunt is just a bunch of...well, "Bolshoi."

If Sen. Schumer and House Minority Leader Pelosi want to investigate attempts to work with Moscow to influence a U.S. election, they should investigate Sen. Ted Kennedy's attempt to get the Russians to help him prevent the re-election of President Ronald Reagan in 1984. As Peter Robinson wrote in Forbes in 2009, London Times reporter John Sebastian, poring in 1991 over Soviet archives Boris Yeltsin had made public, found a memorandum detailing another instance of Sen. Ted Kennedy going a bridge too far:

Composed in 1983 by Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB, the memorandum was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR. The subject: Sen. Edward Kennedy.

"On 9-10 May of this year," the May 14 memorandum explained, "Sen. Edward Kennedy's close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow." (Tunney was Kennedy's law school roommate and a former Democratic senator from California.) "The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov."

Kennedy's message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. "The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations," the memorandum stated. "These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign."

Teddy Kennedy asked the Russians to meddle in the 1984 campaign for the purpose of defeating Ronald Reagan, the man who would go on to defeat the Soviet Union and win the Cold War. The memorandum, which shows Kennedy's efforts to derail Reagan's attempt to build up our nuclear deterrent in Europe, received little or no attention until the publication of Paul Kengor's book, The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism, in 2006.

    1. As the Daily Signal notes of Teddy Kennedy's perfidy:

Sen. Edward "Ted" Kennedy had "selfish political and ideological motives" when he made secret overtures to the Soviet Union's spy agency during the Cold War to thwart then-President Ronald Reagan's re-election, a Reagan biographer said in an interview with The Daily Signal.

When they came to light years later, Kennedy's secret contacts with the Russians through their KGB spy agency in the early 1980s didn't cause nearly the tizzy that Russia's alleged interference with this year's election has for President-elect Donald Trump among liberal activists and reporters. ...

In the 1980s, Kennedy was "terribly misguided" and "a fool" for seeing Reagan as a greater threat than either the leader of the Soviet Union or the head of its brutal secret police and intelligence agency, political science professor and writer Paul Kengor told The Daily Signal. ...

The presidential hopeful's secret correspondence with the Soviet spy service was first reported Feb. 2, 1992, by the London Times in an article headlined "Teddy, the KGB and the Top Secret File." ...

In a letter addressed to then-Soviet General Secretary Yuri Andropov, dated May 14, 1983, KGB head Viktor Chebrikov explained that Kennedy was eager to "counter the militaristic policies" of Reagan, who defeated Carter as the Republican nominee, and to undermine his prospects for re-election in 1984[.] ...

Kennedy's history with the KGB, and the trips Tunney took to Moscow on his behalf, are documented in what are known as the Mitrokhin papers filed with the Cold War International History Project of the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. ...

[W]hat is clear from history is that Russian agents have worked with "dupes" such as Kennedy and other "naïve" Americans to influence U.S. policy to serve their own ends, Kengor, a Grove City College political science professor, told The Daily Signal.

Well, well – Democrat Sen. Ted Kennedy was a "dupe" of the KGB....

Mullahs' Nightmare: Huge Demonstration Breaks Out In Tehran
    By Hassan Mahmoudi

Iran's rulers are attempting to end their country's international isolation. But there are innumerable obstacles for them, beginning with the goon-like activity of Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) along with its expeditionary arm, the al-Quds Force. There are also problems with Iran's proxiees, the Iran-allied Shia militias in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon, all of which are meddling in neighboring countries such as Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. And “state-sponsored terrorism” remains as policy, as strong as ever. But the most important obstacle is the political unrest inside Iran.

During the last three days In Tehran, thousands of Iranians from different classes such as nurses, mine workers, retired teachers, employees of Tehran's Transit Bus Company, military men, inspectors, and experts from the Mine & Industry Ministry, have gathered in front of the parliament and Tehran’s City Hall, demanding job security, wage rights, and job insurane.

According to National Council of Resistance (NCRI) report (in a clarified translation):

“The rallies were held under severe security measures. The suppressive forces were in tight control of the parliament's and the city hall's surrounding areas for fear of large groups of people joining the protest, and were barring pedestrians from stopping and joining the protesters. The police forces prevented any passer-by from stopping in the street. Protestors chanted: 'Workers and employees are awake, we hate injustice,’ ‘Workers, teachers, unite, unite,' 'Rise up to eliminate discrimination,' 'Dignity, and livelihood are our inalienable right.' The protestors accused the regime authorities and leaders of embezzlement, astronomical property plunder, and chanted against Ghalibaf, the crooked Mayor of Tehran. The protestors were holding placards that read: 'We will not rest until we get our rights.'

Passers bye hailed the protestors and paid sympathy and tributes to them and as they signaled their hatred of the regime."

Meanwhile, the Swedish government has proposed a resolution at the United Nations Human Rights Council against the Iranian regime for violating human rights. The Swedish representative in the UN announced that the purpose of this resolution is to prepare a text to extend the general mandate of the human rights rapporteur to investigate the Iranian regime for a year.

Iran، as usual, condemned the Swedish human rights draft resolution,

Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs of Iranian regime Araghchi slammed the United Nation draft.

The U.S. State Department, in its annual Report on Human Rights on Iran wrote:

The most significant human rights problems are severe restrictions on civil liberties, including the freedoms of assembly, association, speech (including via the internet), religion, and press; unlawfully detained, tortured, or killed; disappearances; cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment, including judicially sanctioned amputation and flogging; repression; harsh and life-threatening conditions in detention and prison facilities, arbitrary arrest and lengthy pretrial detention; denial of fair public trial, sometimes resulting in executions without due process; the lack of an independent judiciary; harassment and arrest of journalists; censorship and media content restrictions; official corruption and lack of government transparency, violence against women, ethnic and religious minorities....

The ‘Big If’: What crimes could Obama potentially be charged with?
    By Thomas Lifson

Yes, it is way too soon to start counting-up indictments that former President Obama could face. We know absolutely nothing about the evidence President Trump relied upon in his Twitter accusations, nor do we know of enough specifics.

Still, we get to have fun once in a while, don’t we?

Robert Barnes, a trial attorney, expresses all the expected caveats about the paucity of information, and then the laws that may have been broken. From Lawnewz:

Rather shockingly, no law currently forbids misusing the power of the presidency to spy on one’s adversaries. What the law does forbid is lying to any judicial officer to obtain any means of surveillance. What the law does forbid, under criminal penalty, is the misuse of FISA. Both derive from the protections of the Fourth Amendment itself. Under section 1809, FISA makes it a crime for anyone to either “engage in” electronic surveillance under “color of law” under FISA without following the law’s restrictions, or “disclose” or “use” information gathered from it in contravention of the statute’s sharp constrictions.

FISA, 50 USC 1801, et seq., is a very limited method of obtaining surveillance authority. The reason for its strict limits is that FISA evades the regular federal court process, by not allowing regularly, Constitutionally appointed federal judges and their magistrates to authorize surveillance the Fourth Amendment would otherwise forbid. Instead, the Chief Justice handpicks the FISA court members, who have shown an exceptional deference to the executive branch. This is because FISA court members trust the government is only bringing them surveillance about pending terror attacks or “grave hostile” war-like attacks, as the FISA statute limits itself to. Thus, a FISA application can only be used in very limited circumstances.

After considerable discussion of what this means, Barnes begins a nuanced and detailed discussion of the legal liabilities of the Obama admininstration:....
