A summer of global turmoil has culminated in nightmarish scenes from Ferguson, Mo., a St. Louis suburb torn apart by protests after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager.
For some, scenes of protesters attacked with tear gas and smoke bombs evoked another conflict: Israel’s war in Gaza. Widespread concerns about the militarization of police, including the free exchange of weaponry between the military and U.S. police forces, were echoed by pro-Palestinian Twitter users, who made direct comparisons between treatment of Ferguson protesters by police and treatment of Palestinians by the Israel Defense Forces, the Times of Israel reported.
Another Palestinian user, @MariamBarghouti, tweeted tips to Ferguson residents for how to cope with tear gas. Journalist Glenn Greenwald, who rocketed to national fame after his cooperation with former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, posited a more direct link between Missouri police and the IDF.
He retweeted an ADL press release posted by Iranian activist Trita Parsi, which revealed that St. Louis County police chief Timothy Fitch had studied counter-terrorism tactics in Israel.
“St. Louis County Police Chief, in 2011, on visiting Israel to learn about police tactics from the Israelis,” Greenwald added. Greenwald’s statement drew ire from blogger Andrew Breitbart, who stated that “tying Israel to what is going on in Ferguson is so tangential that it borders on anti-Semitic paranoia.”
As Israeli-Palestinian cease-fire talks forge ahead in Cairo, the nightly violence in Ferguson continues unabated. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has called in the National Guard to try to quell the unrest.
In an interconnected world, in which outbreaks of violence continents away from each other unfold on our screens simultaneously, drawing parallels and patterns seems inevitable. Now that Nixon has called in an actual branch of the U.S. military, comparisons between Ferguson and Gaza — linked, on Twitter, via the hashtag “#oppressed” – are unlikely to let up. At least until the violence does.
A radical, terrorists supporting, anti-western, pro-"palestinian" liberation at all costs, no compromise, propagandist of the 1st order....
Not to worry, she hates American even MORE than Israel. But don't let that stop the anti-israel western crowd from embracing her.... I think they call you "useful idiots"
http://dailycaller.com/2014/08/19/preliminary-report-over-a-dozen-witnesses-back-darren-wilsons-story/ Preliminary Report: Over A Dozen Witnesses Back Darren Wilson’s Story
The cop has over a dozen corroborating witnesses, while the late Mr. Brown's witnesses vary materially.
That worldview is one thing I don't think we need to import from Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
If the government is strong enough to murder one group with impunity, it will, soon, be potent enough to murder ALL groups at will.
That policeman stated, early on, that the boy had tried to get his gun. He had better hope that the victim left some fingerprints somewhere that will back up his story. Otherwise, he's probably going to trial.
Nineteen percent (19%) of Likely U.S. Voters now say they or a member of their immediate family has bought health insurance though a new health care exchange, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. That’s up from 15% last month and up from just four percent last November after the problem-plagued launch of the federally-operated exchange and state-run exchanges around the country. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Yes, AP Violated Its Style Guide to Refer to Michael Brown, 18, as a ‘Youth’
The Associated Press Stylebook states that in reports referring to a person’s age, the figure for the age number should be used. It also states that reports should “use man or woman for individuals 18 and older.”
Why, then, are AP reports on the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown solely referring to him as a “teen” and “teenager”?
“Don’t know’ if Missouri teen shot with hands up,” reads one AP headline from Monday. “County autopsy: Unarmed teen shot 6 to 8 times,” reads another.
And an excerpt from yet another AP story, emphasis added: “Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon lifted a curfew but ordered the National Guard to step in to help restore order. Holder over the weekend ordered a federal medical examiner to perform a third autopsy on the teenager, Michael Brown.”
A 18 year old, 6 foot 4 inch tall 292 pound person is hardly a "teenager" but in a new world where propagandists can claim that over 1900 "RESIDENTS" of the gaza strip were killed without having to be honest about the fact that over 55% were in fact, armed fighters/militants/terrorists shows how language has been degraded.
Rat calls Israelis "NASI", Deuce say Israel conducted "genocide", both claim Israel is a "colony" and apartheid...
Words used to have common meaning, now they do not.
For "O"rdure, like many wanna be Goebbels college kids, it is all about the "Mad Hatter" ...
"‘When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.'
‘The question is,' said Alice, ‘whether you can make words mean so many different things."
‘The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, ‘which is to be master—that's all.'"
Words like 'Semite', 'Palestine', 'Arab', 'Jew', 'European', 'American', etc ... all take on "special' and "magical" meanings for the Zionist propagandist.
Kanye West Allegedly Assaults Man Who Screamed to Kim 'Nigger Lover' 1/13/2014 5:20 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
Kanye West just attacked an 18-year-old guy inside the waiting room of a chiropractor's office ... after the guy allegedly called Kanye the N-word ... TMZ has learned.
Kim was at a Beverly Hills medical building when she was swarmed by photogs. We're told the guy allegedly tried to help Kim get in the building, as he started screaming, "F**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs"" -- referring to the paparazzi. Kim then told him it was not appropriate to use the N-word. We're told he then screamed at her, "F**k you bitch. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut."
Apparently that got Kim hot as fish grease ... she watched the guy walk into an office. As they were walking we're told the guy continued berating Kim. She dialed Kanye on his cell, and when the guy realized Kanye was on the phone he allegedly said, "F**k you N****r." Kanye -- who had just arrived at the building -- then met up with Kim.
Sources say Kanye and Kim rushed into the waiting room of chiropractor Richard Hill and found the 18-year-old sitting there. Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, "We have it all on tape."
So in the Rufus's new progressive world the title should be:
Kanye West Allegedly Assaults Teenager Who Screamed to Kim 'Nigger Lover'
Teenager means child in the Zionist lexicon for utilization in demonizing the US. In an attempt to create a 'feeling' of moral equivalency between the US and the Zionist NASI of Israel.
Then the propagandist uses this fabricated fraud of a standard to announce that teenager is an inappropriate word when describing an eighTEEN year old.
18-year-old Sean Murphy has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting the 17-year-old girl ... right in front of several witnesses who stood by and filmed it with their cell phones but did nothing to thwart Murphy.
You can propagandize until the cows come home, but you can't change the word. Teenager describes a person between, and including, the ages of ThirTeen, and NineTeen.
Gentlemen, gentlemen. You all know the words being used are for political purposes just as your current argument is political.
The other day I saw a segment on Fox where one of the guests called Brown a 'child'. Heck, they would be calling him a 'tot' if they could get away with it and he wasn't 6'4" and weighing 300 pounds.
On the other side, I have no doubt he will soon be called a thug and felon.
Only the low information observer or those with an agenda buy into the bullshit.
Rat is a literalistic automaton. He lacks the subtlety of mind to distinguish between definition and meaning. While others here play the same linguistic games I suspect theirs is merely an argumentative act rather than that they actually fail to understand the distinctions.
Republicans seeking to unseat the U.S. Senate incumbent in North Carolina have cut in half the portion of their top issue ads citing Obamacare, a sign that the party’s favorite attack against Democrats is losing its punch.
The shift -- also taking place in competitive states such as Arkansas and Louisiana -- shows Republicans are easing off their strategy of criticizing Democrats over the Affordable Care Act now that many Americans are benefiting from the law and the measure is unlikely to be repealed.
“The Republican Party is realizing you can’t really hang your hat on it,” said Andrew Taylor, a political science professor at North Carolina State University. “It just isn’t the kind of issue it was.”
I'm pretty sure the GOP won't let go of the issue even if they use it selectively. One of the major problems the GOP has right now is that in close races (NC being one of them) there are Libertarian candidates on the ballot that may split the conservative vote. How each campaign will attack the problem is still up in the air. Do you move towards the Libertarian position and try to co-opt those voters or do you distance yourself from away from it hoping to pick up more independents? The Libertarian vote in the battleground states may end up being the key reason the GOP doesn't take the Senate.
Also, starting in September through October, people will be receiving their healthcare pricing for 2015. If there are steep price hikes resulting from the delays that Obama instituted the GOP will likely jump on it with a vengeance.
"Average rate increase" is expected to be about 7.5%.
Some companies (as a general rule, those with the most customers) are raising rates, some companies are lowering rates (Ambetter, in Ms, is Lowering rates by, on average, 25%.)
Buoyed by an operation to recapture a strategic dam from the jihadists after two months of setbacks, Iraqi army units backed by Shi'ite militias fought their way towards the centre of Tikrit, a city 80 miles north of Baghdad which is a stronghold of the Sunni Muslim minority.
"Our forces are advancing from two directions with cover from army helicopters, mortar and artillery shelling the positions of Islamic State fighters in and around the city," an army major in the operations room told Reuters.
When troops entered the town from near its main hospital they faced heavy machine gun and mortar fire from the militants, forcing the military to pull back. It was the third failed attempt to retake Tikrit since it fell to Isis fighters more than two months ago, when Isis made sweeping gains in five provinces. Since then Tikrit has been controlled by Sunni militants and former members of Saddam's Ba'ath party.
A local official and a resident told Associated Press that the clashes began early on Tuesday on the south-western outskirts of the city. Isis landmines and snipers prevented Iraqi forces reaching the town from the west, officials told Reuters. By early afternoon residents in central Tikrit told the agency Isis fighters were firmly in control.
notes that the midterm election, which was supposed to be a referendum on Obamacare, isn’t looking at all like that in practice; Republican ads denouncing health reform have been dwindling month by month.
The reason is fairly obvious, although it’s not considered nice to state it bluntly: the attack on Obamacare depended almost entirely on lies, and those lies are becoming unsustainable now that the law is actually working. No, there aren’t any death panels; no, huge numbers of Americans aren’t losing coverage or finding their health costs soaring; no, jobs aren’t being killed in vast numbers. A few relatively affluent, healthy people are paying more for coverage; a few high-income taxpayers are paying more in taxes; a much larger number of Americans are getting coverage that was previously unavailable and/or unaffordable; and most people are seeing no difference at all, except that they no longer have to fear what happens if they lose their current coverage.
In other words, reform is working more or less the way it was supposed to (except for the Medicaid expansion in non-cooperating states).
Many of us argued all along that the right’s chance to kill reform would vanish once the program was actually in place; the horror stories only worked as long as the truth wasn’t visible. And that’s what seems to be . . . . . . . .
Here is a little thing that popped up in my local rag. Kind of interesting in the light of spending problems and the push to curtail public pension plans and militarized cops and....
"Montreal chief vows probe after violent protest by city workers. Ingrid Peritz MONTREAL — The Globe and Mail
Montreal’s police chief is promising an investigation after a raucous protest by public employees at City Hall Monday night degenerated into vandalism and assaults while police officers mostly looked on.
Firefighters and other municipal workers, unhappy with proposed changes to their pensions, stormed City Hall and the public chambers as city council was about to sit.
...
The behaviour during the protest by Montreal police officers – who are involved in the same pension dispute – has prompted some of the harshest criticism.
Police largely stood by while fellow public employees carried out their protest; some officers watched from the sidelines, their arms crossed. Some wore protest stickers on their uniforms.
Many noted that the police’s behaviour was in contrast to their often aggressive approach to students who held protests against tuition-fee increases in 2012.
Chief Parent acknowledged his officers’ behavior could feed the perception of favoritism.
“There aren’t two classes of protesters” in Montreal, he said.
The demonstration came on the eve of parliamentary hearings into Bill 3. The legislation introduced by the Liberals would require municipal employees to shoulder a bigger share of their pension, a measure the government says is necessary to wrestle down swelling pension deficits."
Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack
A young gentleman brought his knife to a gunfight with a policeman last evening, near Ferguson. He will not be coming down for breakfast.
He did have his "wish upon a star" moment when he charged the officer yelling, "Shoot me"! Fortunately for the officer there were plenty of witnesses and video.
Well, it certainly is. Maybe, you wouldn't mind linking to one of them - the video would be nice.
Oh, and maybe a link to the documentation for that "orbital blowout," because as he was ambling around the crime scene for an hour, or so, he didn't seem to be too "orbitally challenged."
That, plus I saw a young lady on tv last night that appeared very calm, and credible, claim that she witnessed the shooting, and that the victim was standing motionless, hands up, 15, or so, feet from the policeman when he was shot.
Ah so those of us that actually hire, employ and pay taxes use something called a "Bush" phone?
Interesting.....
Is that because we deduct the cost from our gross revenue?
Just to let you know that we can only take a % of our phones for business as Obama has decided to lessen the deduction for certain business assets.....
Ah, Rufus, Rat and Deuce's boys, the Hamas, have broken the ceasefire 8 hours early and shot of 8 Grad Rockets at the civilians of Israel, almost 1/2 of them who are teenagers....
Then 40 rockets aimed at Tel Aviv and the Ben Gurion Airport...
Israel has decided NOT to send thank you cards....
However there will be Gazan's metaphorically chained to fences protecting those missile sites...
I wonder how many Gazan babies will die because Hamas can't stop trying to murder innocent Jews?
American bombing had signed my death certificate': Missing US journalist James Wright Foley goes unflinching to his death as ISIS behead him in horrific video, as a warning to Obama American photojournalist James Wright Foley has been beheaded by ISIS forces Foley has been missing since Thanksgiving 2012 while working in Syria ISIS posted the extremely graphic video 'A Message to America' to social media Foley speaks to camera before his death and labels the US his killers Apparently coerced by his captors into speaking against his country A masked and robed member of ISIS speaking English in what is thought to be a British accent addresses the camera too After the execution of Foley, the ISIS member says that missing American journalist Steven Joel Soltoff will be killed next A man identified as Soltoff in a caption on the video is then paraded in front of the camera Beheading comes one day after ISIS threat to America that 'we will drown all you in blood' following the US-aided Kurdish recapture of the Mosul Dam
Palestinians have actually cut the beating hearts out of Israelis... Palestinians have smashed the skulls of babies with rifle stocks and smashed to a pulp 10 year old's with rocks...
This they do ON PURPOSE to civilians, not "collateral damage" but intentional murder of civilians....
The 3 soldiers kidnapped by Hezbollah? Tortured and dismembered....
The 3 Yeshiva "teenagers" executed at close range with their hands tied behind their backs and shot thru the skull...
Interesting you have no issues about wiping out ISIS....
Hamas is the palestinian version of ISIS...
Nonsense.
Whenever, you run across a terrorist group you can be sure of one thing, there is already another group that exists or is forming that is more radical. It's how the new guy on the block makes his bones. At one time the PLO was the tough guy on the block and then along came Hamas. The PA is now seen as moderate. Hamas is radical but secular. There are plenty who would like to replace Hamas, IJ and IS being two of the players. Hamas realizes this and defends its position vis-a-vis these groups using means that equate to extreme prejudice.
With regard to Bibi, he is a dick but he is not a risk taker. The reason Bibi does not heed the counsel of the more bellicose in his coalition (or of members of the Lobby here) is that he judges the risks are too high. He is concerned about the costs, unintended consequences, and the fact that it is very possible that if Hamas disappears they will be replaced by someone even worse.
Israel can't actually defeat Hamas. All they can do is contain them. They can gut their military capability but the political leadership of Hamas isn't even in Gaza. It's in Qatar, living in five-star hotels. Bibi tried to kill Mashaal before by poisoning him but was forced to resurrect him and apologize when the Israeli agents were captured in Jordan and the King threatened to put them on trial if Mashaal died.
In addition, just as Israel manipulates the PA in the West Bank to help keep the peace. They also use Hamas for the same thing in Gaza, quiet for quiet. Hamas leadership has recently been working to keep the peace between the Palestinians and Israel though our Lobby may scoff at this. They have been trying to control IJ and the more radical fringes of the Hamas organization. Hamas no longer uses suicide bombs. Instead since 2005 they have been using rockets, indiscriminate but also relatively ineffective rockets. Between 2009 and 2014, there have been around 10 Israeli deaths by rockets fired out of Gaza. In 2013, the number of rockets fired out of Gaza dropped by 98% from the number fired the previous year.
The only way Israel can completely control Hamas and keep them down is by physically occupying Gaza, a costly proposition. It is much cheaper to maintain an open air prison than it would be to try to rebuild Gaza, replace the destroyed infrastructure, feed the people, and keep a large occupying force there to keep the peace. And then of course there is the political cost.
Lastly, Bibi has to ask himself what happens when Hamas is gone? Who or what will replace it? Can the PA reassert authority there? Or will something more inimical to Israeli interests take over, some entity that might bring back the suicide bombs, the executions, the beheadings. Bibi can look around and see what is going on all around him. But as some here point out, he may not have that much longer to worry about it.
It's tough being an occupying power. So many decisions.
it's tough being an occupying power. So many decisions.
Maybe Israel needs to be an occupying power. OF course the complete destruction of Hamas's military, execution of it's leaders, prison for life in solitary confinement for it's basic terrorists. Then a complete control of all the population, like America did to Japan and Germany...
Republicans are lashing out at activists in Ferguson, Missouri, who are using the protests over the death of Michael Brown -- an unarmed black teenager who was fatally shot by a police officer on Aug. 9 -- as an opportunity to promote civic engagement and mitigate the city's history of low voter turnout and racial disparities in political representation.
Activists set up voter registration tables near a makeshift memorial for Brown and the QuikTrip convenience store that has become a gathering base for protesters. The efforts were organized by local clergy with the help of the Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
Missouri Republican Party executive director Matt Wills called the actions "disgusting" and told Breitbart News the activists are "fanning the political flames."
"Injecting race into this conversation and into this tragedy, not only is not helpful, but it doesn’t help a continued conversation of justice and peace," Willis told Breitbart News.
Political representation in Ferguson has long been . . . . . . .
Caroline Glick has a great book out, THE ISRAELI SOLUTION. Give it a read. Of particular interest are the legal precedents from around the world that give Israel cover for annexing Judea, Sumeria, and Jerusalem. As Arab-Israelis in Jerusalem were made citizens, she makes a good case for doing the same in the territories. Polling shows that the Palestinians are not terribly offended by the idea. Of further interest are the legal opinions of international legal authorities making the case that the only boundaries of legal significance to Israel are those of the 1922 Mandate. All others are merely armistice lines, which are not sovereign boundaries. Save yourself anguish.
Allen, that would be an interesting solution but don't you think it may be difficult to craft that Israel as a Jewish state with so.many non Jewish citizens?
A one-state alternative is nothing new. It was what was initially envisioned under the mandate, one state with two autonomous regions one Jewish and one Palestinian. I've seen polls showing that most Palestinians think the two-state solution is dead and thus would prefer the One State solution. Heck, even Iran says they want the Palestinians to hold out for a One State solution.
The problem of course is that everyone has a different idea as to what that One State solution would look like and who would be part of it.
Unfortunately, the One State solution probably is about as viable an idea as the Two State solution given the current political make-up in Israel. Right wing dominance is growing there what with Likud, the ultra orthodox religious, and the settler groups.
Were I a betting man, I would probably put my money on the pols pushing for a Greater Israel rather than a One State solution, at least, until the political winds change there.
The news link on officer Martin's injuries is at the head of my comment. As to the pictures of officers at the scene of the Brown shooting, I have no idea if any of them was officer Martin. I doubt it. Channel 5 in St. Louis was kind enough to give its audience directions to Officer Martin's home. At this point, I would hope he and his family have been moved elsewhere.
For timely information on the matter, check in with Gateway Pundit. You may not like his perspective, but he doesn't make it up as he goes along.
It was not the first time Foley had been taken captive. While covering the Libyan civil war in 2011, he and two other journalists, American Claire Gillis and Spaniard Manu Brabo, were held for 44 days by forces loyal to the late Libyan strongman Moammar Kadafi.
...
In a taped interview with the Boston Globe following his release, Foley explained why he felt the need to go back to a war zone.
“I believe that frontline journalism is important," he said. "Without these photos and videos and firsthand experience we can’t really tell the world how bad it might be.”
The Wall Street Journal might be a good place to start.
http://online.wsj.com/articles/knife-wielding-suspect-reportedly-shot-dead-in-st-louis-1408476226 St. Louis Police Shoot and Kill Man Allegedly Wielding Knife
I've seen human beings as young as 15 charged as an adult, depending on the nature of the crime.
Multiple witnesses, I have read, have come forward backing the police side of this story. If this turns out to be untrue, then I haven't heard this news. I await events.
I like to wait until all the evidence is in and heard being spouting off, so I am silent about the affair.
I am not of the 'hang 'em high on the first rumor' kinda guy, like some others here.
And, it's not that the police have a lot of weapons the concerns me so much as that government agencies have to much information on us all that can so easily be put to ill use.
If I were in the police, and was up against the good citizens of of Ferguson, lately reinforced by worthies like the New Black Panthers, I'd like to be in armoured personnel carrier too. Particularily one of Israeli design.
<<<>>>BREAKING REPORT: Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack Posted by Jim Hoft on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, 10:00 AM
The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.......
Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” This comes from a source within the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.<<<>>>
Again, I with hold judgement, but the article does contain some photos from the convenience store security cameras showing "Big Mike" Brown, as he is known on the street, roughing up a female clerk probably three times his age and 1/3rd his size.
Let me get this straight bob - the guy gets shot by a cop who knows nothing about the alleged store incident and you think that justifies the shooting? You some crazy mofo boobie!
August 19, 2014 Obese and 'oppressed'in Ferguson By Russ Vaughn
One comfort America and the world can take away from the Ferguson, Missouri protests is that contrary to the alarms raised by the Left that the black underclasses are malnourished and downtrodden, the visual images of the protest marchers from Ferguson most assuredly put this liberal assertion to the lie. Watch those people pass by the news network cameras and one observation that leaps out at you is the unrelenting human tonnage lending its literal weight to that procession. America overall is overweight, no question, but what is on parade here appears to signal that obesity, ranging from exceptional to deadly, is an accepted cultural norm in the black community.
To hear the media and the advocacy organizations, this is a segment of society suffering from the depredations of poverty imposed upon them by a racist white America. Viewing these protest processions, what we see is a segment of American society that clearly eats plenteously if not healthily. The only examples of malnutrition visible would appear to be the shirtless, juvenile males eager to parade their six-pack abs before the network cameras. The older males demonstrate the inevitable and ultimate loss of that vanity, a reality that overtakes us all, regardless of race.
Survey any group of young white liberals and I’ll wager they would heartily agree that blacks in America are malnourished as an automatic extension of their overall poverty rate. It is a liberal trope that the black community in America is deprived of the basics of existence by a cold, conservative, uncaring white majority; we heartless conservatives are starving those poor black folks for no other reason than the pigment in their skins.
And then you see the protest parade where obesity appears to be the near norm among the female marchers of all ages and the older males. Malnourishment, missed meals due to racism? The visual evidence before us says quite clearly that we are being fed a line of bull by the lefty activists. While we cannot conclude that these folks are eating particularly well, we can most assuredly conclude that they are indeed eating more than enough to sustain them, and for many of them, far more than that.
Sufficient nutrition is the cornerstone of freedom; nothing comes before that human right because if you can’t eat, you have no reason to be concerned about the follow-on freedoms of speech, free expression, assembly and so forth. If you’re starving, no other concern of human existence matters.
But when you, as a political movement, put your marchers on the road of protest and with an unusual number of them wobbling and jiggling their expanded waistlines, bosoms and buttocks as they pass the media cameras, you must accept the reality that a large number of your fellow citizens viewing those video accounts are going to naturally respond with a sense of disbelief that we, as a nation, are depriving them of basic nourishment, which then leads all of us to question all the other liberal tropes fed to them by America’s media.

Actually, "Big Mike", from the photos I've seen, seems to be something of tubby himself.
Damn, you sink lower every time you print some article out of the American Thinker. Do you print this as a joke or do actually believe the premise behind it?
Looking at the marchers more closely, the tubby ratio is quite high.
As a farmer, I am against malnutrition, and have backed up my sentiments with a life time of work.
While you have spent your time being a 'supersalesman'.
I am uncertain exactly what the 'premise' of the article actually might be.......I suppose it might be expressed as being tired of all contradictions between objective reality and the left's political narrative.
I don't think these people are out there marching against hunger. When "Big Mike" robbed the convenience store recently I notice he didn't take food, but cigars.
I see the Democratic Governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon, has prejudged the case in Ferguson, basically saying the police officer is guilty and demanding a vigorous prosecution, etc.
Of course, he, and the Democrats, need all those black voters, so this should be read as a political speech.
He should have, of course, demanded a vigorous investigation.
The prosecutor has tossed this bone over to a Grand Jury, a little too early in my view. But he has the right to do it.
I am trying to read the prosecutor's mind......the crystal ball is a little murky.......I am working on it.......
Quirk, you got any idea why the prosecutor would call a Grand Jury this early?
You've had immense experience with prosecutors, Grand Juries, and the Criminal Justice in general.
It's a win-win for the prosecutor. Normally, a prosecutor would take his time building a case before offering it to the grand jury. In this case, he is under a lot of pressure so he takes the easy way out. He has kicked the football down the road. To one side he can say, "Hey, I've done all I can. The next step is up to the grand jury." If the grand jury indicts, and the other side gets pissed, he can say 'Hey, I just did my job. Blame the grand jury for the indictment."
Either that, or, he knows the case is so weak that even a grand jury, which is noted for sending down indictments of ham sandwiches, will not indict and has kicked it over there, in the hopes it takes the pressure off him that way.
A string walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender turns to him and says, "Sorry, sir, we don't serve strings here." The next day, clinging to a thread, the string returns to that same bar and orders a drink again. The bartender, resolute, again turns and says, "I'm sorry, sir, but like I said, we don't serve strings here. I'm going to have to ask you not to return." Dejected, the string returns home. All night he tosses and turns, wriggles and writhes, and awakes the next morning not at all resembling himself. Catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror, he brightens and jets out his door to that bar. Swaggering in, he orders a drink one more time. The bartender stares at him, squinty eyed, and asks, "I'm sorry, are you a string? You look very familiar." The string locks eyes with the bartender, and states, "No, sir. I'm a frayed knot."
"I'll have a Quart or Two of Chivas Regal and Mountain Dew."
..................
A 'string' is a new term to me. Why just today, buying a new cell phone, I was chatting with the nice young lady and told her how we when I grew up had to call the Operator and say 'I would like to place a long distance call' - 'What number please' - then the Operator would place the call.
With age comes wisdom, young bucks. Or dementia, in the case of Rufus.
The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands. The instructor said, "Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you.
Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier.
Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops and try to stay on a soft surface like grass or a path."
"Gentlemen, remember -- you're in this together. It wouldn't hurt you to go walking with her. In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both."
The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information. After a few moments a man, name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand.
"Yes?" said the Instructor.
"I was just wondering if it would be all right, if she carries a golf bag while we walk?"
Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it? This level of sensitivity can't be taught.
I'd like to know the years of experience and the performance record of this police officer in Ferguson.
Wow, just as I was typing this Megyn Kelly just said he had served a long time on the police force with never any disciplinary actions at all on his record.....
And you know its a funny thing the only officers currently on the force that have received any disciplinary actions at all are the three black guys. You know the fat ones, the ones who are always stopping for donuts, the ones with the flat feet, those guys.
August 19, 2014 Beyond Race-baiting in Ferguson By Carol Brown
Following events in Ferguson, Missouri, I’ve been wondering: Where are the voices of black leaders who are not race baiters? Most recently, I found three such voices.
Larry Elder was spot on as a member of a CNN panel. The clip is short (1.5 minutes) and well worth a listen. Elder who packs a lot into that short span of time ended with this:
I hear people talk about how the Ferguson Police Department does not represent the city. So what? Are you saying that because the city has a certain racial composition you therefore can’t represent the people? If that’s the argument, the logical extension is Obama should never be president because black people are just thirteen percent of the country. That’s ridiculous...
Jason Riley was part of a panel on Fox News Special Report. He was brilliant. In just three and a half minutes, he cut to the core of multiple key issues. Among other things, Riley tore into Obama’s statement that black criminality stems from poverty and a racist criminal justice system. Riley called this “nonsense” and “a dodge” that avoids addressing the root causes of criminal behavior in the black community. He also shredded the race hustler’s narrative that black men live in fear of being shot by the police, noting the risk is not getting shot by a police officer.
The real difficulty is not getting shot by other black people if you are a young black man in these neighborhoods…Cops are not the problem. Cops are not producing these black bodies in the morgues every week-end in Chicago, New York and Detroit and so forth.
Riley was outstanding and I would encourage you to listen to everything he had to say. He covered a lot of ground in a short span of time and made very single word count.
Dr. Ben Carson was on Fox News and also addressed a number of issues. During the nearly seven minute clip, he asserted that the unrest was being fueled by people from outside the community. But in the next breath he suggested Al Sharpton ask those who are rioting and looting: What exactly is it that you want? What is the message that you’re trying to get across? We’re willing to listen, just tell us what it is.
I thought this was a misguided idea. First of all, you don’t legitimize people behaving badly. You don’t give them the bull horn. You don’t offer them a platform upon which to spew nonsense (and they will spew nonsense). In addition, the suggestion made no sense in light of Carson’s statement that he believed the violence was being instigated by outsiders. If they are outsiders, why invite seek them out to ask them anything
Carson also spoke about crime in cities like Detroit, Chicago, and Washington DC, which skew the United States crime ranking such that when you include these cities, we rank in the top three countries in the world for murder. When you remove those cities we rank in the bottom four.
He expressed hope that what’s going on in Ferguson will be used for good, that it will open up a dialogue about underlying problems, and that we can find solutions.
I wish I could share his optimism.

So, how does my black minister friend justify supporting Obama. And why does he consider anyone opposing Obama's policies non Christian, racist or an Uncle Tom if you are black?
Ready to hit "reply all," I remembered the White House requested all emails against ObamaCare be forwarded to them. I thought, why give them more ammo to attempt to shut me up? Many sincere white Americans thought by electing a black president America could never again be characterized as a "racist country." Shamefully, this characterless administration betrayed Obama voters by exploiting race, using it as a tool to implement their far left agenda. If you don't agree with everything Obama wants, you must be a racist. Following the publication of my column on Sunday, two more leaks have come out which further undercut the media meme on the shooting in Ferguson, Mo.
The police department indicates it has 12 eyewitnesses to the shooting who confirm officer Wilson's account, and Wilson has an eye orbital fracture which is also consistent with his claim that Brown reached into the police car and attacked him. (((((((We also have been informed from the Brown family's pathologist that marijuana was found in Brown's body. There may be more drugs, as the toxicology report is not due in for weeks.(Apparently the drug of choice there is swisher cigarillos (which we see Brown stealing) hollowed out, filled with marijuana and dipped in PCP before smoking. We do not know if Brown did have PCP in his body, but if he did the 300 pounder would have been likely very dangerous.)))))))))
We are seeing two sides to this story, not because of any great work by the media, which once again shamefully played into the "It's Always Selma" fairytale of the race hustlers. No- -- it is the honest , gutsy work of the Ferguson chief of police and officers that it letting the truth of the matter come to light.<<<>>>

ReplyDeletehttp://pjmedia.com/eddriscoll/2014/08/18/ap-style-guide-youth/

Words like 'Semite', 'Palestine', 'Arab', 'Jew', 'European', 'American', etc ... all take on "special' and "magical" meanings for the Zionist propagandist.

DeleteKanye West Allegedly Assaults Man Who Screamed to Kim 'Nigger Lover'
Delete1/13/2014 5:20 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Republicans seeking to unseat the U.S. Senate incumbent in North Carolina have cut in half the portion of their top issue ads citing Obamacare, a sign that the party’s favorite attack against Democrats is losing its punch.
ReplyDeleteThe shift -- also taking place in competitive states such as Arkansas and Louisiana -- shows Republicans are easing off their strategy of criticizing Democrats over the Affordable Care Act now that many Americans are benefiting from the law and the measure is unlikely to be repealed.

The party had been counting on . . . . . .

DeleteI'm pretty sure the GOP won't let go of the issue even if they use it selectively.
IMO.

ReplyDeleteThe reason is fairly obvious, although it’s not considered nice to state it bluntly: the attack on Obamacare depended almost entirely on lies, and those lies are becoming unsustainable now that the law is actually working.

ReplyDelete"Montreal chief vows probe after violent protest by city workers.
Ingrid Peritz
MONTREAL — The Globe and Mail

ReplyDeleteActivists set up voter registration tables near a makeshift memorial for Brown and the QuikTrip convenience store that has become a gathering base for protesters. The efforts were organized by local clergy with the help of the Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

DeleteCaroline Glick has a great book out, THE ISRAELI SOLUTION. Save yourself anguish.
.
DeleteA coward? In what sense?
.
Allen, that would be an interesting solution but don't you think it may be difficult to craft that Israel as a Jewish state with so.many non Jewish citizens?
Delete.
DeleteA one-state alternative is nothing new.

ReplyDeletePosted by Jim Hoft on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, 10:00 AM

ReplyDeleteObese and 'oppressed'in Ferguson
By Russ Vaughn

ReplyDeleteOf course, he, and the Democrats, need all those black voters, so this should be read as a political speech.
I need your insights here, and request them.
Thanks, bobbo
;)
.
DeleteIt's a win-win for the prosecutor. Blame the grand jury for the indictment."
.
Either that, or, he knows the case is so weak that even a grand jury, which is noted for sending down indictments of ham sandwiches, will not indict and has kicked it over there, in the hopes it takes the pressure off him that way.

DeleteBeyond Race-baiting in Ferguson
By Carol Brown

Can't find one directly on the recent events at Ferguson, Missouri.
I will keep my eyes open.
Alas I don't know the names of the other black writers at AT, making it hard to search. I know Lloyd is as he has mentioned it, and I know there are others as he mentioned there were, one is a woman, I think.

DeleteFerguson Facts Slowly Emerging
By Clarice Feldman

The Chief of the Highway Patrol there is an extremely well spoken black guy. You can see him being interviewed by a black journalist here -

Looks like we are headed to the Grand Jury before the toxicology results are in - thank you American Press of the Left for being so responsible as to encourage a possible Grand Jury lynching before many of the facts are even known.
It is rapidly approaching the level of FARCE as in the Zim trial.

I know you are a nitwit. You talk about not rushing to judgment, waiting for all the facts to come in, then not only do you post the following, not only do you emphasize it, but it's the only thing you want to talk about.
[Emphasis mine]
Naw, we certainly don't want any Grand Jury lynchings. So it is only right that we nudge public direction in the RIGHT direction with a little propagandizing or as we call it in Detroit a bit o' speculatin.

White House National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said in a statement that the "intelligence community is working as quickly as possible" to determine the authenticity of the terrorist video. "If genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends," she said.
