When catapults are outlawed, only outlaws will have catapults

The U.S. National Guard spotted would-be drug smugglers on video Jan. 21 near the Naco Border Patrol station along the Mexico-Arizona border setting up a catapult, which was probably intended to be used to launch marijuana over the border.

It's the right idea, but the catapult is pointed the wrong way. We need to set up a catapult on this side of the fence, and fling illegals back to Mexico.

  1. If we did it by the neck, the problem would be solved by a single launch.

Similar to ending jaywalking by enacting a death penalty for it.

  14. How is it that the US National Guardsmen are in Mexico, with the catapult?

Did we preemptively invade Mexico and seize it?

Or did the smugglers tow it to the US, to provide for the photo opportunity?

The Illinois Supreme Court ruled Thursday that former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel met residency requirements and that his name will stay on the mayoral ballot in Chicago.

The justices said Emanuel's opponents did not prove that he had given up residency when he served in the Obama administration in Washington.

  18. The court further ordered that no ballots be printed until all the names except Emanuel's have been stricken from the Mayoralty Candidate Rolls.
