Undocumented Democrats Unmolested

Work Site Arrests of Illegals Fall Dramatically

Arrests of illegal immigrant workers have dropped precipitously under President Obama, according to figures released Wednesday.

Criminal arrests, administrative arrests, indictments and convictions of illegal immigrants at work sites all fell by more than 50 percent from fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2009.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said the administration has made such advances on border security that Congress should now work on legalizing illegal immigrants.

Harry Reid currently has 58 votes for nationalizing health care. The Republicans are standing firm against it. If they can't get over the top, there's always plan B. Amnesty. Create 20 million new Democrats to put new backbone in the Donks who are wavering.

  1. And construction on the border fence came to standstill months ago. What a difference an election makes.

  2. All the billions spent on stimulus and nothing for the border fence. Those segments of the fence were as shovel ready as any project in the country.

  3. We need 20 million more like doug's link from the previous post.

Well our Secretary of Homeland Security points to the precipitous declines in workplace arrests of illegals as evidence that a border fence was a waste of money. And with a stroke of a pen there won't be any more illegals at all.

  8. Those YouTube servers can't keep up with the demand these days. Either that or 'Comcastic' is overburdened. Either way, I didn't have the patience to get through the entire video.

  10. Pyramid schemes need new suckers paying in to support the old suckers.

20 million new "yanquis" and the exponential addition of their relatives will help prop up the rotting corpses of social security and medicare for another decade.

Then we can ask the Chinese to colonize what's left.

  11. In an April memo, Marcy M. Forman, director of ICE's Office of Investigation, laid out the new enforcement policy.

She said arresting illegal immigrant workers is still important but the focus must shift to employers.

"Enforcement efforts focused on employers better target the root causes of illegal immigration," she said, pointing to numbers that showed that under the Bush administration in 2008, employers made up just 2 percent of all work site arrests.

She also said ICE agents also should go after employers not just for hiring, but also look for mistreatment of workers and evidence of human trafficking, identity fraud or money laundering.

Sure, go after business. Who needs the evil enterprises anyway?

  12. That mirrors the law that they passed here, fellas.

Lots of happy faces, smiles and promises, but not one case brought to trail. Not one indictment.

In well over a year, maybe two now.

Even Sheriff Joe cannot put a viable case together, and I'm told that his boys have tried.

The border fence was always a mirage.

  13. Florida's unemployment rate rose a bit in October to 11.2 percent, with slightly more than 1 million workers without a job.

Florida's rate is up one-tenth of a percentage point from September, practically unchanged, but remained a full percentage point above the national average of 10.2 percent. The Florida rate is 4.5 percent higher than October of last year.

The last time unemployment was this high in Florida was 1975, when the rate hit 11.9 percent.

  14. As I recall, the fence was very late in getting started and work progressed at such a half-hearted rate that you could certainly call the whole effort a farce.

  18. Everyone is making a big deal about Landrieu getting $100 Million for Louisiana for her vote to open debate.

Louisiana has 4.4 Million people. So, they get about $23.00 per person. Not a bad balance to the $100,000.00 or so it will cost a cajun over 40 years, eh?

  19. And they certainly cannot replace the dollar with a "Euro" style "Amero" until the dollar is debased.

Which is the course it has been on since 1963 and the end of the Silver Certificates, accelerated by Mr Nixon floating the dollar and it s' subsequent sinking in a sea of debt by Mr Reagan and every Administration since.

  20. How could a Senator be against ending the debate on the Health Care Bill and then having a vote?

    Isn't that the American Way

That Senator from Arkansas, votes for debate to end, then against the Bill.

    Her bases are covered.

  21. Persistent unemployment can change a lot of minds. I receive daily emails on factories being liquidated at auction, sometimes two or three.

Capital equipment is selling for $.15 on the dollar. I would estimate the factories once hired from 20-250 men and woman. The wages would be in the $20 per hour range. The jobs were in decent areas of the country. Those jobs are not coming back. They are gone.

Those people lost their jobs because of Wall Street and K Street. The owners of the factories lost their life work and their fortune. Most will not get another chance.

The Republicans did not help them. The slick change artist did not help them. The Democrats are helping government workers and few beyond that yet they command all levers of government.

The obvious solution to reducing health care costs would be tort reform. Loser pays would save $50-100 billion a year in healthcare, more in industry.

Tort reform is not in the bill.

The American middle class and working class are diverging and no longer one and the same. Soon the government dependent class will eclipse the working class, if they have not already. The result is a permanent majority of governmental labor unions and government dependents having a call on the resources of the producing classes.

You think that will change by playing by the rule books that change daily by the courts and governmental agencies?

  22. Want to see the future, have a peak at the so called American Virgin Islands. Start with St Thomas. Sixty percent of the residents mostly decedents of African slave receive some form of assistance picked from the pocket of American taxpayers.

Try and find some good workers out of that 60%. Good luck.

Twenty five percent of Puerto Ricans receive money picked from American pockets.

Do I blame the recipients? No, I blame the scum that make up the the collective of our rulers and masters, and the mental lethargy of a trusting public.

We are destroying our children's legacy on two fronts fighting, spending and dying for people that would not lend you an umbrella when the sun shines.

What will change that? Who will change that? The Democrats? The Republicans?

    Barackofuckabama?

  23. Maybe Sarah Palin is just crazy enough to do it. The major parties have to be shattered or taken over and purged. Congress has the means to take on the courts, but Congress has to be wrested from both parties. They will not go willingly. The media and the power brokers will destroy anyone who tries to take them down, unless enough people scare the living shit out of them.

That can be done. It is not likely without further collapse, possible if not plausible.

  24. I think you're peeved.

I think you also have race issues.

    Feel free to correct me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. All of a sudden everyone is calling this the "cloture" vote. It's not. This is the vote to "open" debate. Yes, it does require 60 votes, but it's not the cloture vote. Cloture is to "close" debate, and bring a bill to a vote.

Cloture comes later; and, it also, will require 60 votes. It Is possible, that a Senator such as Joe Lieberman, or one of the dems, might vote yes to "open" debate, and still vote No for cloture.

    Maybe not probable, but "possible."

  28. Personally, the 35 foot cat and the mountain cabin combination are looking better and better as each day goes by. If I had to pick one or the other, think I'll be going to a beach some where in the Americas.

I know a budding young international business man that went into the Marine Corps, went to Iraq and Japan, after four years a full blown Federal Socialist came back.

An easy deal and guaranteed checks beats work and uncertain growth potential based upon accountable performance.

Making money is just so, well, plebeian.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Peeved, no. Race issue, by todays standards, am I a racialist? Would I walk down a street at night in North Philadelphia that is overwhelmingly black? No.

Will I roll up the windows in my car in Miami? Yes. When I rent a car in Miami, the car automatically locks itself. Is that because the people that rented the car to me are racists? The same car company cars to not do that in Utah. Are they racist?

Am I guilty of noticing that 3% of the American public that happens to be black males commit 55% of the violent crime? Guilty.

Am I guilty of noticing that the worst parts of every American city, with the worst crime, the biggest drug problem are predominantly and overwhelmingly not Amish or Dane or Swede, or Scots-Irish or Japanese or Chinese? Guilty.

Do I hate people because of who they are? Not guilty.

Do I notice what people are regardless of their race and say what I really think? Guilty.

Am I afraid of discussing race with anyone and at any time and not in couched terms or euphemisms?
    Not guilty.

Am I a racist by your standards? That is for you to decide. Your decision is a matter of profound indifference if it is done with a doctrinaire glibness, and worthy of further discussion if it is not.

  30. The Senator from Arkansas will definitely vote to open the debate. It'd be unAmerican not to.

She'll vote to close the debate.

She may or may not vote for the final version.

But, no matter how that Senator votes on final passage, the Dems can certainly garner 51 votes at the end.

And that is all it takes, a simple, not a "Super" majority to pass legislation.

And the GOP focused upon electing McCain President, instead of defending Senate seats in the mountain west.

Allowing the Udall cousins the capacity to control the balance of politics in the United States.

You may not be familiar with these quaint words.

The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule.

In the state of nature men may, as the patriarchs did, employ hired servants for the defence of their lives, liberties, and property; and they should pay them reasonable wages. Government was instituted for the purposes of common defence, and those who hold the reins of government have an equitable, natural right to an honorable support from the same principle that "the laborer is worthy of his hire." But then the same community which they serve ought to be the assessors of their pay. Governors have no right to seek and take what they please; by this, instead of being content with the station assigned them, that of honorable servants of the society, they would soon become absolute masters, despots, and tyrants. Hence, as a private man has a right to say what wages he will give in his private affairs, so has a community to determine what they will give and grant of their substance for the administration of public affairs. And, in both cases, more are ready to offer their service at the proposed and stipulated price than are able and willing to perform their duty.

In short, it is the greatest absurdity to suppose it in the power of one, or any number of men, at the entering into society, to renounce their essential natural rights, or the means of preserving those rights; when the grand end of civil government, from the very nature of its institution, is for the support, protection, and defence of those very rights; the principal of which, as is before observed, are Life, Liberty, and Property. If men, through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave.

  33. Back during our third Balkan Christmas I was thinking, "Damn, someday I AM going to be sitting on our front porch in the mountains and not giving a moment's thought to any of this."

Sitting on the water now sounds even nicer. The Key West effect.

Almost two years of hundred hour weeks. But it wasn't even the hours.

Then there was the surprise deployment. For which we shall not blame Bill.

    "Profound indifference."

  37. "The major parties have to be shattered or taken over and purged."

It's possible, but it will take an awful long time.

What is it that each member of the House and Senate wants more than anything else? It's to be re-elected.

The Dems were taught the lesson in '96. But it didn't take. They were so pumped by their victories in '06 and '08 that they went back to the bad old ways with a vengeance.

The GOP should have gotten the message from '06 and '08; however, they didn't. They talk a good game but in reality they still don't get it. At least, the leadership.

It will probably take a few more election cycles before they all finally get the picture that the public is fed up and wants them to move to where the majority of America is which is basically center-right. The more incumbants that get dumped (from either party) the quicker the transition can occur.

However, why should anything change from how it's been in the past? Well, the anti-incumbant mood is widespread. And unlike other times, this time I suspect it will be around for quite a few years. Unemployment is rampant and won't get better any time soon.

Within a couple of years we will see the long term effects of the current fiscal policies start to materialize. If enough politicians get booted, things will eventually change. The problem is the longer it takes, the longer it will take to work our way out of the mess we are in.
