You can thank Glenn Beck

You can thank Glenn Beck for having the nerve to expose Van Jones. Jones is gone but given the lack of media coverage of the Taxpayers' March, it is really beginning to look as if we have a state run media. Our leaders have been villifying the common, decent, everyday salt-of-the earth people who attended the tea parties, town halls and the march on the capitol. The left, aided and abetted by the MSM is actively discussing ways to "knock back" our friends and neighbors who simply want to restore a sense of fiscal responsibility and accountability in Washington, D.C. Glenn Beck is almost a lone voice in the wilderness as he warns of their machinations. Don't scoff, these people won, they put their way in the White House, they control both the House and the Senate and they intend to advance their agenda.

Hattip Sam: Thanks!
There is something eerily disturbing about the cult of personality that is being cultivated around this President. Make sure you watch the very end of the video.

  1. On Monday came fresh objections, this time from Grover Norquist, founder of the conservative advocacy group Americans for Tax Reform.

    ...

The president's supporters said Monday they will not sit back idly if they see attempts to torpedo Mr. Obama's nominees.

"We're going to fight back against it," AFL-CIO spokesman Eddie Vale said. "If Obama is picking nominees that are going to be friendly to workers, we're not going to sit back and let big business go after his nominees."

  2. For the record. We posted Van Jones on September 5,5,6, and 7. I heard about Van Jones months ago, but wasn't sure when, way before Glenn beck discovered him.

    I found this:

Glenn Beck started talking about Van Jones on July 23.
BECK FROM JULY 23: Obama's new green "czar," Van Jones, this is the guy who is a self-avowed communist and he is in the Obama administration.

Glenn Beck did not get to the asshole clips until:

SUBTITLES: Thursday, September 3rd: Van Jones "Republicans are A—holes" and "9/11-Truther" scandals break.

However, Gateway Pundit had it on before Beck and Beck never gave recognition to that either.

Finally I found what I was looking for. The earliest reports on Van Jones was on the Radio by Michael Savage.

Michael Savage exposed Van Jones on March 12, 2009. Glenn Beck never gave credit to Savage. Savage. Glenn Beck has done this often enough that I cannot listen to him anymore.

To your greater point the collective response by MSM is worse than I ever imagined. I started paying attention when Powerline exposed the phony bullshit artist, Dan Rather. Since I started blogging I am amazed at how the MSM often lags the bloggers by days. They really do lie by omission.

It is outrageous that the media ignores this. It is especially intolerable that The Philadelphia Inquirer ignored the video with Van Jones appearing, which was put together by Philly Cop Killer, Mumia abu Jamal, field negro.

  3. Iran has agreed to wide-ranging talks with six world powers but has ruled out discussing its nuclear activities, which the West suspects is meant to develop nuclear weapons but which Tehran says is for peace generation of electricity.

The Obama administration has insisted it will make Tehran's nuclear efforts the focus of the negotiations.

Gibb, speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One as President Barack Obama headed from New York to Washington, said it would "speak volumes around the world" if Iran held to its resistance on the issue. "It will be part of that discussion," he insisted.

  5. To the United States now where President Barack Obama has warned Wall Street not to try to block his reforms of the US financial system.

    ...

    Washington Correspondent Kim Landers reports.

KIM LANDERS: The President has delivered a lecture to Wall Street on its own turf, travelling to New York to warn the financial industry not to return to the reckless behaviour that nearly brought a second Great Depression.

    ...

BARACK OBAMA: It's got a lot of steam because the American people understand that this needs to happen, and so I'm very optimistic about us getting a set of rules in place that prevent the kind of crisis that we're seeing from happening again.

    ...

KIM LANDERS: When the President delivered his speech to an audience of bankers, traders, politicians and Government officials, he used words like "reckless behaviour", "quick kills" and "bloated bonuses".

    ...

BARACK OBAMA: I am not going to get into specific firms or individuals.

I think we're all aware of the fact that there has been a culture of bad rewards; short-term thinking that used leverage to take exorbitant risks that were unsustainable for the system as a whole.

KIM LANDERS: The demise of the Lehman Brothers investment bank a year ago sparked the near collapse of the global financial system and triggered the worst recession in decades.

    ...

Nobel prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz says the US has failed to fix the underlying problems of its banking system.

JOSEPH STIGLITZ: In the United States and many other countries, the too big to fail banks have become even bigger.

The problems are worse than they were in 2007 before the crisis, and again we aren't doing anything significant so far.

  6. The right wing Progress Party – which wants to spend far more of Norway’s oil wealth – appears to have roughly maintained the support it won at the 2005 election.

    ...

The Conservative Party did particularly well on the night having been projected to increase their representation in Parliament by almost 30 per cent.

Economists had feared that plans among some of the opposition to spend the country’s oil money freely would spark inflation and damage the economy by strengthening Norway’s currency.

  7. Haven't seen Glenn Beck make any claims to be the first to cover Van Jones, but I have missed a few of his shows. (Will not miss today's though - even bigger expose coming from "The Pimp and The Prostitute".)

There is, however, that small matter of difference between Beck's influence and that of the EB. Beck occasionally eclipses O'Reilly (who is so jealous he can't stand it) in having the largest cable news audience (and would guess Beck will beat him tonight).

I have seen no other long term (in TV terms), strategically well-developed and presented campaign against the corrupt, socialist ideology, personnel decisions and actions of this president (or of any president). Beck's shows are far more thoughtful and comprehensive than of this competitors (including other Fox shows).

Yeah, his personality is a little over the top sometimes, but he makes up for that with his humor.

  9. Glad to be of service, whit. Beck has brass gonads...he has to have a full-time security team for his family. My wife heard him talk on radio about his vacation last month, when his security team told him not to worry that no one would know he where he was. On his first morning of vacation he received a message from a close friend informing him that his exact location had been posted on left wing blogs. He's giving up a lot to pursue these corrupt bastards, and I admire and respect him for it.
