MSNBC deeply offended about President Obama being called racist by Glenn Beck

MSNBC has been deeply offended all day about Glenn Beck's comment calling Obama a racist on FOX. Obama is not a racist but then neither was George Bush. However, MSNBC has selective indignation and of course Chris Matthews, the tingling tower of flatulence, spittle at the ready, poured it on. Shall we roll back the tape? Except this time it was MSNBC that was hosting a commenter on George Bush.

  1. I think you're wrong. I think he's, definitely, a Racist.

I don't believe anyone could have sat in Jeremiah Wright's congregation for 20 years (and, even taken his kids there) if he/she was not a Racist.

I think he reaffirmed his racism when he, automatically, inferred that the problem between the Professor, and the Cop was because of the Cop's "Racism."

    He's a lightweigh, a Con-Man, a Marxist, AND a Racist.

As Rufus and I point out, the most basic test of whether monkey boy is a racist is taking his young girls to see kkk wright.

Would you EVER claim some white boy tht took his young kids to Klan meetings for years was not a racist, Deuce?
    Of course you wouldn't.

Same rules apply to the Marxist Monkey.

  9. 21 Things You Can't Say to Obama

    Dear Dr. Politics:
I am reliably informed that following Barack Obama’s last news conference, a list was circulated in the White House of 21 things the staff was not allowed to say to the president.

The mainstream media refuses to publish the list.
You are our only hope, even though we have the utmost contempt for you.

Here are “The 21 Things You Cannot Say to the President after a News Conference”:

    1. Hey, we hear the Golf Channel is going to carry it next time. Well, actually, only the Golf Channel is going to carry it next time.

    2. Don’t worry. We’ll get ’em next year.

    3. Professor Gates called. He can’t find his house keys.

    4. You want to take a mulligan on this one?

    5. We did try to plant a question about Bo, but nobody would go for it.

    6. Saying, “I don’t know all the facts ... but the police acted stupidly” is a little like saying, “I don’t know if there are weapons of mass destruction ... but let’s invade Iraq anyway.”

    7. We’ve decided to call the whole news conference a “teachable moment.”

    8. You want a cigarette?

    9. Biden called.

    10. William Henry “Bill” Gates is the Microsoft guy. Robert Michael Gates is the secretary of defense guy. Henry Louis Gates Jr. is the Harvard professor. They are not related and have never performed in Vegas together. Gibbs will walk this back in the gaggle.

    11. Tape it over? But, Mr. President, these press conferences are live.

    12. The reason we can’t put the questions on the teleprompter is because we aren’t supposed to know the questions in advance.

Some burned a North Korean flag and a photo of the country's leader Kim Jong Il and one believed to be of his third son, Kim Jong Un, who has come under intense media scrutiny in recent months as a possible successor.

I'd say that Obama took his kids to Wright's church, for ten years, considering the age of his kids, 20 is out of the realm of reality, to be able to sit next to Oprah.

I fail to see how posting that story to the EB, without comment, can be taken as having any politcal or racial overtone.

  28. I find it somewhat odd that this whole Gates arrest becomes a screaming match about racism though I guess that reflects on how race is such an issue in the States. From my perspective any cop who arrests someone for "disorderly conduct" when originally going to check out whether said person was breaking into a house that turned out to be theirs is what was stupid about the bust. It screams of typical authoritarian police behavior - 'you back talk me and I'll bust you!'

    ReplyDelete
  29. Which is why Mr Gates was lucky he had such a compassionate Officer, such as Sgt Crowley respond.

He was merely arrested and released.
He could well have been tasered, too.

I think you're on target, ash, Sgt Crowley's actions, kind of typical police behaviour, which has nothing to do with race.
As the black officer that was with him and supports him, exemplifies.

But it's become all about race, the easy target.

Are you sure we're playing Chess and not Go>

The object of the game is to control a larger portion of the board than the opponent. A stone or a group of stones is captured and removed if it has no empty adjacent intersections, the result of being completely surrounded by stones of the opposing color.

Placing stones close together helps them support each other and avoid capture. On the other hand, placing stones far apart creates influence across more of the board.

Part of the strategic difficulty of the game stems from finding a balance between such conflicting interests. Players strive to serve both defensive and offensive purposes and choose between tactical urgency and strategic plans.

In it so much to ask a citizen to be polite to an Officer of the Law? After all, they put their lives on the line every day. Mr. Gates should have thanked the Officer to responding to a call which could very well have resulted in that Officer's death. But nooooo, he had to go and show his posterior. I agree, once the Officer had ascertained the situation, he should have beat a hasty retreat.

The real issue here is the President wading into the issue and on the wrong side at that. I'm sure that BHO expects a certain amount of respect for his authority.

His words have probably diminished the authority of Law Enforcement while giving credence to the rants of the bitter and malcontent.

  59. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon continued to defend the federal stimulus plan on Thursday, joining state Democratic leaders in an effort to tamp down criticism from one of Arizona's most powerful Republicans.

At a news conference in front of downtown Phoenix's Kenilworth School -- his second of the week focused on the benefits of the $787 billion package -- Gordon made the case that the money was putting Arizonans back to work, especially in local schools.

More than $200 million has already been dedicated to rehire teachers or keep them employed, Gordon said.

One of them is the wife of state Rep. David Schapira, Rosemary Schapira, who was laid off from the Kyrene School District earlier this year. Because of stimulus money now flowing to schools, she said she was offered a job this week as a 5th-grade teacher at Chandler Traditional Academy.

On Monday, Gordon told reporters at Sky Harbor International Airport that 285 people would have jobs because of $10.5 million in stimulus funds to build a new airport taxiway.

"The stimulus package is working. It needs to move faster but it is working," the mayor, a Democrat, said Thursday. "These are not made-up jobs. They are real.
    "

The piece then moves on to Mr Kyl's representitive who says that Mayor Gordon is out of step with Arizona voters, whom he admits do not know the facts or are misinformed.

“Mayor Phil Gordon and the Democratic Party officials who organized today’s press event are woefully out of touch with the thinking of most Arizonans when it comes to stimulus spending," Wilder said. Nearly three out of four Arizonans "disagree with Mayor Gordon and say that the stimulus has hurt or had zero impact on the economy."

Herding the sheeple, that is now the GOP's task, here in AZ? Leaving them misinformed as to reality and playing to their fears.

"In the Kyrene School District, $1 million means 20 teachers jobs. Without that stimulus money Kyrene was looking at at least a $9 million cut," said Waters, whose legislative district includes Ahwatukee, south Tempe and west Chandler.

"That's a lot of jobs, that is a lot of lost programs, that is a lot of increased class sizes.
    "

If she is racist, then the word no longer has meaning. Same as if Dustin Hoffman and Ben Stiller are racist anti-semites.

I'd say that it is likely that Wright became more bombastic over time, and that is why she left a year or two before Obama.
Her ear was more 'in tune' to what Wright was preaching from the pulpit. I'd submit that Obama did not even listen, to Wright. Rather that he was busy, with his blackberry and social encounters.

I'd venture to say, based upon Oprah's cultural acumen, that Wright's shift to his more bombastic preaching was a latter day transformation. Causing her to leave the congregation.

"Sometimes two times a day," Graham told 2 On Your Side. He suffers from Sickle Cell Anemia, a blood disorder. If left untreated, it can block blood flow to limbs and organs.

"It feels like somebody shooting me with battery acid, and I'm stepping on razor blades, and I'm having a heart attack at once," he said talking about the pain the disorder causes.

Graham doesn't have a job, insurance or car. So, when he feels bad, he doesn't call a cab. He calls 911 to have an ambulance drive him to the hospital.

A 2 On Your Side investigation found that from January 2006 to May of this year, Rural Metro Ambulance picked him up 603 times.

Medicaid picked up the tab for each ride, costing taxpayers at least $118,158.

Graham estimates he's requested even more rides. "I'd say about a thousand times."

Rural Metro and Erie County chose not to respond on camera about Graham's case. The county follows the same rules most emergency systems follow across the country. If you call, they must haul you to the hospital, no matter what your call is about.

Graham says he requests an ambulance because he can't see his doctor as much as he needs. He also says he gets help quicker by arriving in an ambulance rather than by cab.

2 On Your Side contacted Medicaid to have them look into the number of times Graham used an ambulance. Medicaid appeared more interested in how we got the information, rather than how much it cost taxpayers to pick him up.

Medicaid fraud and abuse costs $60 billion each year nationwide

  74. You're, right, Rat. She is, probably, smarter than Obama. She could still be a "racist."

    Or, not.

I, really, don't much care, I guess. I've never watched even one of her shows.

But, I don't "get" the line of thought that Obama can't be a racist, because Oprah went to the "Same" Racist Church that he went to.

I'm not upset about the "cash for clunkers." Turns out, they didn't put enough money in it to get beyond a couple of days.

The funny thing is, if they would have thought about it a bit, they would have realized these parameters basically described a, pretty much, "Average" car-buying event.

The Mean age of a trade-in probably isn't too much less than fifteen years, and it's pretty common for a new (2009/2010) vehicle to attain 8 mpg better mileage than a fifteen year old tradein.

The program is pretty small potatoes compared to most gov programs, and maybe it will help in some small way to get people out moving around, again.

  75. They're not "Treating" his sickle cell. It IS Treatable.

This is kinda what I've been talking about. The ER is doing what is in their "charter;" but it would, probably, be cheaper to treat the man than to keep hauling him back, and forth, in an ambulance.

  77. It is not making the case tha Obama is not a racist, just that the evidence for it, as motive for his remarks, is weak.
There are possible alternative reasons for his behaviours.

doug leads us back to Mr Wright, who is a bombastic Marine with a reverends' collar. Obama joined that congregation for political reasons, stayed for the same.

It was Oprah and the fellow elitists of Chi-town's black community that drew Obama's attention to that church, not the preaching of the Marine in a collar.

But then, if everyone is a racist, no one is. Then it is just the norm, and unremarkable.

  78. I would readily agree that Obama has a predisposition against the police use of authority, through force or arrest powers.

He may have a different perspective of why the police behave as they do, than I, you or ash have.

Obama may have more empathy for Professor Gates than he does for Sgt Crowley or his black partner.

But predisposed empathy towards a suspect and prejudice against the police does not have to be ascribed to racism. Indeed, in this case it is not racism that is evident, on Obama's part, but that predisposition against the police nd their percieved abuse of authority.

  79. Probably the best ale, perhaps the best beer, on the face of the earth: Rochefort. If you've got the cash, it's worth getting your mitts on. Trust me.

  80. "He just picked Bud Lite for the blue collar publicity."

It IS a nice, inoffensive beer in that way, isn't it?

If I were going for that, I'd go one better: OMB. In a suitcase.

Or, demonstrating sympathy for those who are truly suffering, I'd go totally down and out with a nice malt liquor. Feelin' your pain and all.

    Or some Mad Dog.

Don't ask me. Never drank the stuff.

  83. The brand does some good. After the Northridge Quake the big Bud brewery along I-405 put up drinking water in plain white generic cans. We hauled them by the truck load out to the disaster assistance centers for distribution. All gratis, as far as I know. The interesting thing seemed to me that, like Wal*Mart in similar situations, they were ready to go in a heartbeat.

Nothing wrong with an ice cold Budweiser longneck. I'm just not a Lite drinker.

Nope. It's just not...beer in a perfect universe of beer.
