Tread on the Republican Base at Your Own Peril

Frank Luntz, a GOP pollster, was just on Sean Hannity's radio show. He says that 24 months of polling has shown that the immigration issue is the 800 lb gorilla in the Republican tent.

Republican leaders will pay a dear price if they insist on passing the comprehensive immigration reform abortion.

  1. The Texicans are advertisiing on FOX News, telling me that they need workers, the workers that only a comprehensive solution will deliver.
Or we'll sleep in dirty beds at hotels, while waiting for our new house to be finished, as we go hungry.
Texicans, got some nerve, say that for 'em.

  2. Get on the phones one more time, boys. It comes to a head, tomorrow.

We want to make sure all of these cocksuckers can't say they weren't warned before we send their sorry asses back to the sticks.

  3. All we need is a "Conservative" Republican in the White House and 41, or 42 Conservative Republicans in the Senate and we can send Kyl, McCain, Lott, Spector, Chambliss, and a couple of other worthless motherfuckers back to the ignominy they so much deserve.

  4. Giuliani was the first to make the announcement today. Hours later, McCain also withdrew from the August 11th poll.

Terry Nelson, McCain's campaign manager, says McCain won't participate in the poll because it "will not be a meaningful test."

That leaves Mitt Romney as the only top-tier GOP candidate to commit to the nonbinding contest.

  7. Oh, I see, non-binding, that means no delegates are at stake, right?

    A nonevent, MSM circus.
    Bus in your caucusers, correct?

  8. A meaningful test is one you're going to win. An unmeaningful test is one you're going to lose.

  9. If you can't win, don't play.

Especially if the ante is high, the pot low.

    It's a "Long Campaign".

  11. Who does Mr Fred Thompson, not Tommy, draw from?
Do the Romney fence sitters, sold on the conservative rhetoric, and maybe a bit leary on the idea of Latter Day Saints, move to support Mr Thompson, another man the looks the part and is from TN, or fall into Mr Romney's camp, regardless of how cultist the Mormans can be made to appear.

    Hard to tell, yet.

  12. The former Tennessee senator voted against funding abortions with taxpayer dollars in numerous situations and he voted for a ban on partial-birth abortions, to uphold parental involvement laws, and to prohibit scientific research using fetal tissue from babies who were the victims of abortions.

Thompson also won praise from the pro-life community for helping Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts with his nomination bid. Roberts eventually ruled in favor of the national ban on partial-birth abortions.

Thompson served eight years in the Senate beginning in 1995 after he won a special election to complete the remainder of Sen. Al Gore's term. He won re-election in 1996.

  13. Has Mr Thompson had any executive experience?

  14. Doubt there are many flip flops in Mr Thompson's career. It wasn't that long, by Senate stadards, not long at all.

Almost 13,000 attempts have been made to view my profile, j., 92 have looked at yours.

Arrogant egotists are the only ones who would check how many times their own profile has been viewed. Others just don't give a shit or even know to look. I would also submit that the number of attempts to view a profile is directly related to the number of comments/posts made by the subject of that profile, and DR clearly likes to see his handle and verbiage in print on the web page.
