Pakistani Role Seen in Taliban Surge at Border
By CARLOTTA GALL
QUETTA, Pakistan — The most explosive question about the Taliban resurgence here along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is this: Have Pakistani intelligence agencies been promoting the Islamic insurgency?
The government of Pakistan vehemently rejects the allegation and insists that it is fully committed to help American and NATO forces prevail against the Taliban militants who were driven from power in Afghanistan in 2001.
Western diplomats in both countries and Pakistani opposition figures say that Pakistani intelligence agencies — in particular the powerful Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence — have been supporting a Taliban restoration, motivated not only by Islamic fervor but also by a longstanding view that the jihadist movement allows them to assert greater influence on Pakistan’s vulnerable western flank.
More than two weeks of reporting along this frontier, including dozens of interviews with residents on each side of the porous border, leaves little doubt that Quetta is an important base for the Taliban, and found many signs that Pakistani authorities are encouraging the insurgents, if not sponsoring them.

From the previous thread, Stoutfellow gave a H/T to Gates of Vienna for a BBC Channel 4 documentary on Islamic fundamentalism and hate being preached across the UK. This is a 48 -minute video which shows the missionary work of our good friends and allies, the Saudis.
Chilling undercover investigation into the influence of Saudi Arabian religious extremism throughout the UK. Despite being considered ... all » Britain's principal ally in the Middle East, this disturbing report reveals Saudi Arabian Islam - Wahabism - is spreading a message of bigotry and hatred to a section of Muslims and predicting an imminent jihad. An undercover reporter joins Islamic worshippers...Will the real Islam please stand up? Dealing with Musharraf and the Pakistani ISI, the Palestinians and Hamas, the Saudis and the Wahhabis, Iran and Hezbollah or the ordinary Mosque next door is a very frustrating experience which at some point in time, the west must surely realize is a dangerous exercise in futility.
Chances are, you are a kafir and as such, they owe you nothing! In accordance with the Koran, you are less than their women who are mere chattel. You are nothing but an offense to Allah. When Sharia rules the world, you will submit or die.
The day some bureaucrat attempts to force Sharia Law on me and my family - kafirs all - we will be busy gettin' ready for some @ss-kickin'...
ReplyDeleteThe day Sharia is used to adjudicate ANY issue involving my family is the day we start playing Cowboys & Muslims.
We won't be the only ones playing.
I promise you - The Cowboys, already armed to the teeth, will win hands down.
The media will cry foul.
How bad would the world be by that point if the public/govt isn't awake by then?
ReplyDeleteSeems like Cowboys vs "Compassionate Conservatives" might be the order of the day at present.
How many opportunities have been squandered to escape from the Twilight Zone of numbing deception?
Trish can point to a longer list than I can of criticisms and defenses of policies that in hindsight were pure foley at BC, yet they remain in place today.
ROP=Saudi Funded Mosques/Jihadis.
GWB should be exiled to Neverland.
Dhimmi Bush no longer makes references to the "Islamic fascists", referring instead to "individuals that would like to kill innocent Americans to achieve political objectives."
ReplyDeleteReligion of Peace remains the storyline
ReplyDeleteIslamofascist is a passe,
noninformative description of the foe.
We are at War with evil individuals, not a country, a religion, a tribe or ethnicity.
Just doing battle with bad individuals, the definition of "bad" being ever changing.
But more of a Police chase than a War, in all reality, regardless.
The Dems win the "Vision" thing. JFKerry turned out to be right, after all. We care as much about "terrorists" as we do about prostitutes, just a minor distraction to the "Good Life"
La vida pura, o un camino loco adelante para la pais ?
I missed the evolution. Islamic facistssssss gone. Maybe we will get democratic disdainers.
ReplyDeleteSome cable station, today, carried a rather typical PC program examining the revolt of the Celtic queen Boadicea against the Romans in 60 A.D. While 99% of the program could be called pap and crap, a telling tale was told when at last Boadicea faced a Roman legion in battle. Long story short, the Roman army lost 400-500 killed, while inflicting upwards of 80,000 fatalities on the Celts.
ReplyDeleteQuestion:
___Is there a Western commander in the field who would permit his forces to inflict such a one sided defeat on any Muslim adversary?
Fact:
___Following the wholesale slaughter of the Celts, preceded just days before by the extermination of the Druid priesthood, the Romans ruled England for 350 years, never again facing substantial armed revolt.
But they never ruled all of Scotland.
ReplyDeleteHadrian built a wall as a response to illegal immigration. Damn nice post Allen.
ReplyDeleteYa mean them Romans was Undocumented?
ReplyDeleteWhere was the Diversity Visa?
The lottery for Free Citizenship?
Barbarous!
The Saudi Wahhabists are conducting what could accurately called a world-wide Islamic Cultural Jihad. The basic scheme is to fund construction of mosques and infiltrate them with radical imams (trained in Saudia Arabia). The mosques are then used as incubators for indoctrinating and training future jihadists of the Wahhabist strain. The future jihadists will fight the shooting war to establish the global Islamic Caliphate. The plan is in effect in the US, Australia, England and Spain to name a few countries.

SPEAKING AT the State Department in 1999, Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, a Sufi sheik and leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of America, sounded an alarm about Muslim houses of worship in the United States.
After Sept. 11, it became clear that mosques dominated by radical clerics were a potentially lethal threat. Many such mosques are funded by Saudi Arabia, which spends heavily to propagate Wahhabism, a fanatic and aggressive strain of Islam. The Saudi government, reported the 9/11 Commission, "uses zakat" -- Islamic charity -- "and government funds to spread Wahhabi beliefs throughout the world, including in mosques and schools. . . . Some Wahhabi-funded organizations have been exploited by extremists to further their goal of violent jihad against non-Muslims." Its findings were reinforced by Freedom House, which in 2005 documented the penetration of US mosques by Saudi-supplied Wahhabi hate literature.
It is against this background that the $24 million mosque and cultural center being built by the Islamic Society of Boston has generated such controversy.
According to financial documents supplied to The Boston Globe, major funding for the mosque is being provided by the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In December 2005, for example, two payments of approximately $250,000 each were wired from Jeddah to the Citizens Bank account of the mosque's general contractor in Boston. Messages confirming the payments were faxed from Jeddah to the Islamic Society of Boston on Dec. 19. Other documents suggest that subsequent payments have been made as well. Yesterday, the ISB for the first time acknowledged receiving $1 million in financing from the Saudi bank.

Saudi Wahabbism evolved with the expansionist ambitions of the al-Saud tribe, who now comprise the Saudi "Royal" family, and hold all the important positions in the so-called government. Were in not for Saudi oil reserves, the kingdom would be written off as a tin-pot dictatorship of the worst order. Yet this repressive apology for a nation, where the victim of a gang-rape was subjected to a punishment of 90 lashes in November 2006, exports its backwards ideology throughout the world.
In southern Adelaide, construction of Park Holme mosque halted this month, because the foreign minister, Alexander Downer ordered that the Saudi government should not be funding the building. The mosque had been a haunt of immigrant Warya Kanie, who was captured in Iraq last year, fighting against the coalition.
Spain
The recuperation of places and buildings that were once mosques or sacred Islamic sites is the primary method employed by Muslims to reconquer Al-Ándalus. So-called moderate Muslims are oftentimes more effective than extremists in gaining concessions because of their attempts to portray Western democracies as intolerant if those countries don’t cede to certain demands. This technique has been used repeatedly in the case of the Córdoba Cathedral.
Spanish Muslims have for years been petitioning for the right to celebrate Friday prayer in the cathedral. Up until now these requests have been denied, which is a good thing according to Spanish politician Gustavo de Arístegui, the nation’s foremost expert on Islamic terrorism. Arístegui explains that if this request were to be granted, it would set a dangerous precedent. Similar demands would follow in ancient mosques throughout the Iberian Peninsula. Far from satisfying Muslims, initial concessions would only serve to inspire Islamic extremists and their potential recruits.
Already plans are underway by Spanish Muslims to construct what is being conceived as a ‘European Mecca’ in Córdoba, which was the capital of Al-Ándalus. According to the Spanish newspaper ABC, a new mosque funded by Saudi Arabia would be the second largest in the world. While Córdoba’s city council has twice denied the request to build such a mosque in a city with 1,000 Muslims, the Andalusian city of Seville has granted permission for a new mosque to be built on council land near the Los Bermejales district. But local residents, aware that 100 mosques already exist in Andalusia, have obtained a court order court order halting construction of the mosque.
The Wahhabis, of course, are just one of many strains of Radical Islam. There are also the Apocalyptic Shi'ites (Iran, Hizbollah), their cousins the Allawites - a minority of Syrians but they include the ruling family, other Sunnis including Al Qaeda, Pakastanis, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, etc. etc. etc. I'm sure I am less than totally correct on all these affiliations, but the sheer number and size is a bit mind boggling. Maybe Western Civilization should to come up with a plan to deal with this assault on its very existence. Yes?
Deuce,
