Terrorists Escape in London

LONDON (AP) - Two suspected terrorists who were being detained under strict conditions resembling house arrest have escaped and are now on the run, officials said Monday.

An unidentified British man accused of trying to travel to Iraq to fight alongside insurgents is thought to have fled through a window of London mental health unit two weeks ago.

Officials said a second suspect - an Iraqi - also was on the run and that he had escaped several months ago.

Apparently the detainment conditions weren't that strict.

Maybe 9 million aliens entered the US illegally, just in the last year. Would put the 12 million estimate of the total undocumented population in the trash can.

That Bearns & Stearn estimate of 20 million seems much closer to reality, and that was a Jan '05 estimate.

So yes, 7% of the total US population of 300 million are undocument aliens.

How large is that "Grey Economy", the untaxed and unregulated segment of the underground.

  7. More than that, dRat.

The situation in Israel is very dire. Arabs have been smuggling laborers into their villages for decades. If you go to the Galilee, it is 75% Arab. But the socialist mafiosies couldn't care less. They collect their tax free dirty cash and political influence from their Arab and Welfare constituency, while the country pays an able labor force to sit and watch TV all day.

  19. WASHINGTON — The U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan failed to follow through as it should have after ousting the government in 2001, said the NATO commander in the country.

The mistake — adopting "a peacetime approach" too early — set the stage for this year's deadly Taliban resurgence, British Gen. David Richards told Pentagon reporters Tuesday.

He said the international community has six months to correct the problem before losing Afghan support.

Rice: Palestinian struggle echoes battle for US independence

What's going on? Are the Israelis taxing the Palestinians tea again?

She was even more outrageous the other day.
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on Wednesday the United States would work hard to create a Palestinian state free of the "daily humiliation" of Israeli occupation.

"The Palestinian people deserve a better life, a life that is rooted in liberty, democracy, uncompromised by violence and terrorism, unburdened by corruption and misrule and forever free of the daily humiliation of occupation," she told a dinner organized by the American Task Force on Palestine.

Gee Condi. Remember that the Palis democratically elected the terrorist group Hamas to power in an election that IIRC Jimmah Carter certified as legitimate. Remember that Hamas is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Remember that the Bush administration and the Euros cut off the welfare payments to the Palestinian government to try to get it to recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist. Remember that Hamas refused to do so. (Actually, the Hamas charter makes it impossible for them to do so.)

Apparently, Dr. Rice has forgotten all these things. Now the US gravy train is starting back up (45 Million is it?). Apparently, the Bush administration is caving on this issue in an attempt to revive the 'two state' solution.

I considered the cutting off of money to the duly elected terrorist government of the Palestinian territory as the Bush administration's greatest democratization victory. The vote showed the true nature of the Palestinian street; the administration responded appropriately by cutting of the fund. And now this crap.
