Therefore, officials explained, a single aircraft delivering a single weapon against a lone ISIL vehicle is one strike, but so is multiple aircraft delivering dozens of weapons against buildings, vehicles and weapon systems in a compound, for example, having the cumulative effect of making those targets harder or impossible for ISIL to use. Accordingly, officials said, they do not report the number or type of aircraft employed in a strike, the number of munitions dropped in each strike, or the number of individual munition impact points against a target.galopn2https://www.blogger.com/profile/10149969176825932175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21297199.post-32142064803994391222015-12-13T10:55:04.049-05:002015-12-13T10:55:04.049-05:00.
The following article from NBC
http://www.nbcn....

The following article from NBC

http://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/nerdscreen-three-way-gop-fight-n479176

talks about a possible three-way race within the GOP (Trump, Rubio, and Cruz) and breaks their support down among three major groups within the GOP, establishment, social conservative, and white working class. (Note: the article s part of a stream of articles put out by NBC. You might have to scroll up or down a bit to find it.)

the article is fairly short and somewhat interesting in that t talks about a possible convention fight in the GOP. However, one paragraph caught my attention.

In fact, the working class white lane, Mr. Trump's group, stands out for being on the low end of all three indicators - education, income and church attendance. It is a sign of how he is appealing to unique slice of the Republican electorate that has not had often had a champion in the past, those with lower incomes and education levels that are not big churchgoers. That is a slice of voters that has struggled to regain their footing economically since the Great Recession.

I have called Trump's supporters low-intelligent. This study would tend to offer confirmation of that. However, it is also not quite that simple. His supporters are also a group that has taken it in the ass after the great recession and continue to do so. Trump is the only candidate that seems to have tapped into their fears.

.Quirkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00272168240606512672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21297199.post-83259194891368483822015-12-13T10:33:38.801-05:002015-12-13T10:33:38.801-05:00.

I assumed he was just some local yokel from Texas, a non-entity like most of the other 15 to 20 candidates in the GOP field. Now, I take him a little more seriously.

Having watched and listened a bit more, I take him more seriously. He is not stupid. He is clever and calculating. These are not meant as compliments but as observations. He is also a wannabe actor. He has said so on at least one of the late night shows.

He has run a pretty clever campaign. He has gone out of his way to avoid a fight with any of the other GOP candidates, no doubt hoping to pick up their supporters when they fade. Only recently has he offered some tepid criticism of Trump and then only behind closed doors. Yet, when asked about Trump raising new 'birther' issues regarding Cruz' Canadian birth, Cruz simply says Trump is 'terrific'.

I have seen the difference between the Cruz that is trying to pump up the troops at some prayer breakfast and the Cruz that conducts business during televised committee meetings in the Senate. There is a difference. I expect where Cruz to somehow get the nomination you would see a different Ted Cruz on the campaign trail than what you are seeing now. His acting ability (or pretensions if you like) will come in handy.

I had pretty much written him off.
